I was excited to read Ms. Wood’s Presents book and a little nervous. I love the Harlequin Presents line and Ms. Wood’s books. I was hoping it would be a great marriage and it was! I loved this book and can’t wait for Digby’s story. It was a perfect story for Presents and had Ms. Wood’s humor and depth of characters. Both Radd and Brin went through so much in their lives and overcame situations that could have kept them from finding love. There was heat, passion and fun, but also love, emotion, and suspense. Reading about South Africa and its beauty was a plus. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book from the author for an honest review. I also receive Harlequin Presents through subscription. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Repost of my original review at Amazon.com.
In the jewel-like setting of a South African resort, billionaire Radd hires Brinley to fill in as the florist for a society wedding. Brin finds out too late that the bride is her sister’s rival. Brin plan to finish the work as soon as possible and stay out of sight of the wedding party.
But Radd has other plans. He never lets women get under his skin, but there’s something about Brin he can’t resist. He convinces her to spend the week with him in the resort’s private quarters, away from the prying eyes of the guests.
Brin knows that a calculating man like Radd won’t fall for a straightforward woman like her. But somehow, she manages to see behind his defenses. Is there a chance the two of them could have a future? And what happens when Brin’s relationship to the bride is revealed?
I loved the high emotion and sexual tension is this book. It’s something of a slow burn, with Radd being careful not to pressure Brin into something she’s not ready for. The main characters are both children of narcissistic parents and so can relate to what the other has suffered. The book is a quick read with a satisfying ending.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.
This is book 1 in South Africa’s Scandalous Billionaires series. The characters are awesome, believable, great word building, funny situations, arrogant clients, everyday run of the mill situations etc., thus making for an awesome read.
Radd and Brinley are both dealing with family issues. Radd is a Billionaire and Brin is a florist and is awesome at her job.
Radd is in much need of a florist and his assistant Abby gives him the name of her friend Brin. Radd tracks Brin down at the beach and offers to pay her $25,000.00 to decorate for a wedding Naledi who’s the daughter of Vincent a client that he’s trying to get back the family’s diamond mine that his parents squandered away and it’s the last item that he needs to gain everything back that once belonged to his family. He informs Brin that if she makes her up mind within the next minute, he would up the money to $30,000.00. Brin agrees because she is in much need of the money. It would help her to open up her dream florist shop and get away from her over bearing mother and sister and gain her independence.
There is so much chemistry between Radd and Brin that you can douse them with ice water and the flames would still be burn hot.
Brin is feisty, challenges Radd, pushes all his buttons and Radd is always calm. Brin seems to be able to stand up to Radd’s guess Naledi but doesn’t stand up to her sister Kerry and mother.
Pick up your copy today to find out if Brin and Radd get their HEA and if Radd gets back his family diamond mind. You will not be disappointed.
Love how Brin stands up for her principles!
Raad is all about the bottom line of improving his family’s image and acquiring the diamond mine. Then he meets Brin, his emergency florist for an event at his resort as part of the wedding of the year! Raad and Brin find themselves in close quarters, allowing their explosive chemistry to combust. Is Raad’s need to seal the deal on the mine or does he need to make Brin mine? You have to read to find out and will love Brin’s principles and Raad’s revelations!
I loved this book! I loved the feistiness of Brin- she had to fight so hard to become her own person. The sexiness of Radd was very well described and also the struggle of Brin and Radd not to succumb to the chemistry existing between them. I was a extremely enjoyable read!
Radd promised to host South Africa’s wedding of the year at his exclusive safari lodge, for his motive was to restore his family’s empire. But he has to find a new florist, fast! Brinley Riddell is the perfect candidate. She’s also an immediate distraction.

Such a sensual temptation! With the first book in her South Africa’s Scandalous Billionaires duet with Harlequin Presents, Joss Wood quickly nabs her reader’s attention with HOW TO UNDO THE PROUD BILLIONAIRE. The characters are crisp and easy to like and each has a compelling back story that carries the plot throughout. A tad sluggish in a couple of places but quite the enjoyable read. I’m looking forward to Digby’s story!
Radd is a confident character who gains sympathy easily for his past, but he is also flawed with his one track mind and put in his place by Brinley’s strength to speak up when he doesn’t treat her fairly. Easily redeemable.
Brin is a sweetheart. She’s been stepped on a lot in life and she’s decided she’s simply not going to stand for it any longer and that realization brings her such freedom to speak her mind.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a lavish background filled with secrets and greed as they make their way towards forever.
Radd is always in control especially since his parents death as he had his brother try to rebuild their legacy so when he meets Brin who he needs to do the flowers at a wedding that could mean them getting another piece of their legacy back he doesn’t expect her to speak her mind or have a good bit of sass to her. Brin knows what the likes of Radd are like, entitled and think everyone must do their bidding well she thought Radd would be like that but they both learn that neither are what they expect and the attraction is undeniable however neither think it will work so try and fight it but its a losing battle as they slowly see how good they are for each other and allow feeling they didn’t think they would ever feel grow. A fantastic read which has me waiting for the next book to see what happens to Digby when he meets his match!

This is book one in The South Africa’s Scandalous Billionaires Series and it is Radd and Brinley’s story and wow what a great way to start a new series. Radd need a florist and quick other wise he would loose the deal that him and his brother was working towards and he had no intention of looking it. Brin had been betrayed and humiliated by her boyfriend, sister and mother who has only ever used her so she walked away and now she needs a miracle to be able to keep them away from her. Radd and Brin have instant chemistry between them but Radd doesn’t do commitment after seeing what his parents marriage was like and Brin wanted to own her own florist shop and he independence so they both knew that nothing would work between them as they are total opposites in every way and they want different things. I loved the characters and storyline so much as it pulled you in right from the first page and I couldn’t put this book down. Joss Wood is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

3.5 Stars
Joss Wood did a great job with the characters, while the story line was good. This is just the type of book that you would expect from a Harlequin author. I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book.
