Neither of them wants a rebound relationship, but it’s hard to stay away when you’re next-door neighbors.
So what if the guy Addison Sparks had a crush on when she was thirteen just so happens to be her next-door neighbor when she moves across the country for a fresh start? And so what if she embarrasses herself in front of him…
Repeatedly.
If Ian Kendrick hadn’t grown up to be so … grown up to be so good-looking, kind to his grandma, skilled at carpentry, and completely dateable, then it wouldn’t be so difficult to stay away from him.
Addison is just getting over a breakup, though, and Ian is, too. She doesn’t need the kind of awkwardness that would come from living next to someone who would surely be just a rebound if they ever dated.
Nope. What she needs is to make a list to constantly remind herself how to not fall for the guy next door.

I think this series is a really fun premise. 4 roommates each with their own anti-romance ideas meet their perfect match. This had some fun “2nd hand awkwardness”, as I like to call them, moments between the h & H. I found both the H & h likeable. The roomates were perfect gal pals. I’d say this book is good for a nice relaxing and light hearted rom-com. Nothing way intense or moody or angsty. Not cheesy but sweet. Perhaps this had a bit of a ya feel since the roomates are all twentysomethings. Bex is next and it’s an opposites attract romance. Can’t wait!
This romantic comedy made me smile and laugh throughout the story. The characters are so warm and welcoming that I felt like I was the fifth roommate staying at Hidden Inn. I enjoyed the emotional roller coaster of Addison and Ian’s new relationship, along with the emotional baggage from their past, failed relationships that came into play. I look forward to the next book about Bex. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
A good clean romance with a lot of humor and love, this is a first crush to true love troupe’, Ian and Addison spent summers at each of their grandparents for the summer, who happen to be neighbors, and one year which was the last year Addi gave Ian a gift, kissed him on the cheek goodbye and left, not to return for 13 years. Things have changes both have had long term relationship breakups; can they trust again?
I really enjoyed this beautifully written story with well-developed characters and would highly recommend it. I look forward to Bex’s story.
This is such a fun and sweet contemporary romance!
Ian and Addison spent several summers together as pre-teens but then didn’t see each other for years until they happen to become next door neighbors. Addison is somewhat awkward around her former crush and they are both carrying some emotional baggage, but neither can deny that they are interested in the other. As they try to figure out what they want and how to move on from their pasts, there are some great laugh out loud embarrassing moments and so many sweet, tender ones. I love romance stories where the main characters bring out the best in each other!
I loved this book from first page to last and cannot wait to read the rest of the series about Addison’s roommates.
I received an advance copy of this book but am voluntarily leaving a review of my opinions.
