Firstly, I am voluntarily leaving an honest review of this book.
This book of the series was quite fun. I love the singing they did while traveling. I love that even though they’ve been apart a long time, Thomas still felt quite strongly for Mary (Meredith) and felt betrayal at learning she had had a child in his absence. Boy, did that sobered him up fast though. I enjoyed that he had to seduce her back to him, even though he had her heart and love all along.
Like I mentioned in the other review for this series, I read/listened to them out of ordered so there was some confusion as to who some of the characters were. Still, the author did a good job at providing enough information so as that wasn’t such an issue as the main characters were the focal point of the story. Narrator did a very good job, had no trouble following the dialogues between the characters at all.
Overall, if you enjoy historical, this is one not to be missed.
I really enjoyed this story and the characters. I was disappointed when the book ended with a cliffhanger. I would have rated higher if there was no cliffhanger.
Wonderful book. Could not put it down.
This was not story based with sexual components, this was strongly sexual content with a substandard story. I was bored before end of chapter one. Basically ….. he is missing, child is born, he comes back, he and she are angry, he gets fall down drunk, child walks and talks. I didn’t care for this book at all.
This was a good story. A good read.
Loved this series
It was ok, nothing great.
The Crusades were an impediment to so many couples, but more so to this couple. How does a man get back into the good graces of the woman he loves after having been gone for 6 years without any word? They both have a few surprises in store.
had me guessing how this would end
great book
I loved the way the H and h interacted. The humor and tenderness was adorable.
The characters never engaged me. I made it through the book, but still managed to feel bored most of the way through.
Silly and not believable
A lot of twists and turns in this plot.
Enjoyed it!
Boring unrealistic female character complete wimp she forgets for days that she has a small child to care for
Loved it
Good read.
Couldn’t get past the premise.
