Hilariously romantic!
You could not find three less-likely friends than Beatrice, Olivia, and Rosalind but they have one thing in common – their lives are in tatters. Olivia’s husband left her and their four children to run away with a younger woman and avoid paying child support. Beatrice has just been dumped by another thieving boyfriend who stole her entire apartment contents and bankrupted her. Rosalind has been passed over for a promotion again, and by someone who stole her ideas. They commiserate with each other on a park bench and then proceed to get drunk at Olivia’s house. In their drunken haze, they come up with a plan for their futures – Operation Billionaire. They will help each other find and marry a billionaire. Beatrice has the first opportunity through her job with an event planning company. The company has been hired to plan the charity rodeo put on annually by Cole Stevens at his ranch and Beatrice is traveling there in the next week. The plan sounds great at the time and they wake up the next morning to discover they have made travel plans for Olivia, Rosalind, Olivia’s four children, and Olivia’s mother to accompany her.
Beatrice has been crushing on Cole Stevens for years, but to actually pursue him with marriage in mind is frightening. Their meeting at the ranch is just the beginning of a hilarious courtship. The Operation Billionaire agents are an ongoing comedy trio and Olivia’s mother, Diane, fits right in. This is a well-written romance with plenty of laughs. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Fun characters.
Cute impossibly ridiculous story. Funny and easy to read.
This just didn’t hold my interest.
love these characters from page one and was pulling for each girl
The storyline caught my attention. However, the book fell flat,
Good plot but I did not care for the first person writing style.
There is nothing more entertaining than a book with unpredictable humor. So funny I almost wet my pants laughing!
It was filled with hilarious moments. I went on to read the other two books in the series.
Loved it.
This was a fun story to read. It had funny parts but also has the romance. I will definitely read more books in this series.
While entertaining at the beginning, the constant inner dialogue and shallow nature of this story made it even less believable. The author had a fun idea with the three women teaming together, but the women and the story line weren’t developed well enough for me to enjoy it.
There isn’t a book by Elise Sax that I haven’t loved. Her romantic comedies are fantastic! How to Marry a Billionaire is the first book in the Operation Billionaire series where we learn how three women find each other and decide to marry billionaires. Since Beatrice has loved Cole forever, she is the first of them to go after her billionaire. This book will have you rooting for Beatrice and laughing all the way through. So if you are a fan of romance and like humour in your books, then I highly recommend this story.
Too many characters to keep track of. Confusing situations.
Not my favourite Elise Sax story. Some funny moments and the story is easy enough to read. Just a little too far fetched.
Kept reading this book thinking it would get better. When finished, I couldn’t believe I wasted my time. Would not recommend taking the time to read it. Very disappointing!
Laugh out Loud read.
Almost silly. Nice characters but did use to the fullest. Kept reading hoping to get to an exciting part.
This is a terrific contemporary romance with lots of humor. I actually caught myself laughing out loud several times. The author has a great sense of humor and timing to make me do that. I bought the rest of the series after reading this book.
Five stars!!
