Alexandria Latham Borne is supposed to marry into one of Alpha-Prime’s most prestigious families. Her unwanted future fiancé has wealth, breeding, social status … and that’s about it. She is less than wowed during their luxury get-to-know-you journey to Earth. Once the spaceship docks in Alienn, Arkansas, Ria jumps at the chance to jump ship and explore the colony of extraterrestrials hiding in … in plain sight.
Cam Grey takes his job as chief of security at the galactic way station and the Big Bang Truck Stop operated by his family very seriously, but even he needs a break. No one suspects the by-the-book enforcer’s secret refuge is the karaoke bar just over the county line from Alienn, Arkansas. It starts out as just another night of uncomplicated amusement. But no one is more surprised than the jaded Alpha when the gorgeous woman with blue-streaked hair sings her way into his bed — and his heart.
When he learns his sexy karaoke singer has defied colony rules, putting them all at risk of discovery by the unsuspecting earthlings, he knows his duty. What he should do is lock her in the brig. What he does do is ignore all the rules he’s spent his career upholding.
Cam’s also been burned by love before, but his mischievous Ria is a rule-breaker he can’t resist.
Is she a heartbreaker, too?

3 stars – I liked it
Alexandria “Ria” Latham Borne wants nothing to do with her arranged marriage and is determined to have a little fun before she is trapped. She slips away from the spaceship to have one of fun and meets the sexy Cam Gray. The more time she spends with Cam the more determined she is to get out of the arranged marriage.
This was a fun and emotional romance. Ria is determined to enjoy her 10 days on Earth with Cam. She has a bucket list of Earth related activities she wants to do and Cam happily agrees to help her work through it. Cam went out of his way to make sure Ria could experience as much of Earth as possible in the short amount of time they had. I loved how sweet Cam was with Ria. He has mostly been the grumpy, security conscious, older brother in this series but he is actually surprisingly sweet and emotional.
Ria is a bubbly person who finds joy in the smallest things. She knows that these ten days could be the last time she is truly free and happy so she doesn’t waste them. I really loved seeing Ria’s perspective on the world and her joy at small things, like a lake or a sunset. It reminds you to stop and appreciate the smaller things in life.
This was a great addition to the series and I can’t wait to see the rest of the Grey siblings fall in love. Also I really want to see more of Aunt Dixie. She is a hoot.
She meets the man she is supposed to marry but she finds she just cannot do it so she runs away. meanwhile he needs a break from his job and he meets her in a bar where he is sees her singing. Soon they have a great night together before he finds out what she has done. Will he turn her in? Will he keep her for himself? How will they get on? Follow them to faind out

I enjoyed this book but at times felt it dragged on a bit. The romance is very good and the storyline was very good there were just some spots I would get a little bored during. I do recommend this book especially to all the romance lovers who like a little paranormal in their story.

This was really a fun and enjoyable read. The characters were fun and were well developed and engaging with a storyline that kept me entertained.

This book was well thought out and executed very well. I enjoyed it but when the repetition of the statement about Alphas rules, it got old after the second time

Cam, one of the Grey brothers who run the Big Truck Stop/Galactic Refill Station located in Aleinn Arkansas. Goes to a bike bar to watch karaoke. He is an Alpha, an alien, and in charge of security for the hidden space port. In walks an amazingly beautiful woman who sings a love song just for him. After Ria is done she approaches Cam and the attraction is immediate.
This paranormal romance is wonderfully written and easy to read. The characters, especially Cam, really grow on you as you get his background story and his emotional ties to someone he just met. The character of Rina is charming and you get to experience the world though alien eyes. The dialogue is great, the descriptions of the scenery Is detailed, all of which makes the story seem more alive. This storyline is filled with interesting twists and turns, surprises, romance, humour and emotional drama. It is a great cozy romance.

Fiona Roarke has done it again with the second book in the The Big Bang Truck Stop series. I loved the romance and the freshness of seeing Earth through the eyes of an Alpha that has only read things in books. The arranged marriage showed the backward ways that some societies have and the way Ria wanted to fight it and be with her true love shows the growth that is needed.
This was a really cute story. It kept my attention and kept those pages turning!

Ria wants to have her freedom before she is forced to marry man she despises. She meets Cam who she thinks is a human. Cam doesn’t want to let go of Ria she make him feel alive and will do anything to spend his time with her for however long they have.

Four and a half stars.
This is one of those books in a series that are stand alone but it’s helpful if you’ve read the first. This is brother Cam’s story. He is a lot nicer in his own story than he was in Diesel’s. Ria is a woman resisting an arranged marriage so she makes a side trip when their ship docks on planet earth. More of Aunt Dixie and Miss Penny just for fun. I am enjoying this series.

Nothing makes a woman more desperate than mom insisting she marry a jerk! Cam, Chief Security Officer steps out of alien perimeter on his jaunts to walk on the wild side at a kareoke bar. Ria has a bucket list for her rebellion while she runs away from her fiance and her mom who is orchestrating her arranged marriage. She, ‘sees’ her fiance and is repulsed. Ria thinks Cam is an earthling. Can’t stop laughing! The back and forth, the humor, the heated looks is totally fun. Can Ria get out of her commitment? How far will Cam go to claim Ria? Delightful story. Gotta read more about Alienn, AK. We totally need a Big Bang Truck Stop off I95. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
Cam Grey entered the Smokin’ Hog Saloon in Old Coot, Arkansas, a short distance down the road from his family’s Big Bang Truck Stop where he is chief of security at their underground galactic way station for prisoners on their way to “the big house”. Cam enjoyed the karaoke at the saloon in the Earthling part of town and, if the music wasn’t good, he had pool tables to keep him happy. This town was as far as he could go from his town of Alienn and still be in communication range with the way station. As the singers were introduced, he watched the lady named Ria who kept her eyes on him as she passed his table and as she sang her song. He was mesmerized and thought he might invite her home to spend the weekend with him!
Cam’s communicator buzzed him awake as the beautiful karaoke singer snuggled against him. His brother Axel was frantic about a missing passenger they needed to find because the spaceship cruise liner had to depart earlier than scheduled due to a storm. This was Cam’s weekend off and he did not want to leave his lovely partner. Unknown to him, Ria was on her way to an arranged marriage on Alpha-Prime and their spaceship stopped at Alienn’s way station. Wanting to see a little of Earth and take her mind off of the marriage she doesn’t want, she goes to the karaoke bar where she met Cam. Despite being an absolute rule-follower, Cam really feels something for this young woman. Will he turn her in? Will he be able to give her up? Or will he help her some way to avoid the unhappy, unwanted marriage and maybe find a HEA here on Earth?
I can’t get over how wonderful this series of book is turning out to be! The story line in this one is excellent and well-paced. The characters are likable, and the addition of characters from the previous books, such as crazy lovable Aunt Dixie and Cam’s happy-go-lucky brother Axel, keeps the reader right in the middle of this family of aliens who try to keep a low profile and do the right thing while chaos breaks out around them! This is such an enjoyable book. Grab your copy and see if you don’t agree!
I never knew Aliens could be so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!! Cam, Diesel’s brother and Chief of Security in Alienn, loves to go to the local bar, when he isn’t working. While there he meets Ria, and the sparks fly. Will their romance survive, since Ria is in an arranged marriage on Alpha-Prime? This is a fun book just like the rest. I chuckled quite a bit.
I really like this series, its funny, paranormal, it has romance and Aunt Dixie. What more could a reader want. I already have the next book and will be starting it next.

The second book in the Alienn, Arkansas series a well written story that I found myself laughing at some of the things that happen. I liked reading how the main characters and the rest of the brothers interact. This is Alexandria Latham Borne who comes to Alienn, Arkansas and meets Cam Grey chief of security at the galactic way station and the Big Bang Truck Stop. I want to read the next story. I recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book two of the Alienne, Arkansas series and it just adds to the fun of the series. I enjoyed reading this book because I got a really good story and a few good laughs as well as I got to see two opposite characters find their HEA. You see it is Cam’s job at the Big Bang Truck Stop as chief of security, here on earth to ensure that the humans do not suspect or find out that aliens exist. Alexandria makes this a challenge as she heads to earth and is all about exploring this place while ditching her fiancee. She is a rule breaker and bothers Cam to no end but makes for a very fun read.

This is the third installment of this delightful, humorous romantic sci-fi series that I have read. I continue to be absolutely charmed by this aliens-on-Earth series. In this particular installment, Cam—the chief security officer for the alien way station on Earth—meets an intriguing young woman when he goes just outside of Alien’s borders to a karaoke bar. This is his little secret getaway that he likes to do on occasion; close enough to home that he can be contacted if needed but a world away otherwise. Unbeknownst to him, this girl is actually a runaway from a spaceship that has just recently come to the way station. She wanted to experience a little bit of life on Earth and perhaps get away from her affianced. A marriage has been arranged for her, and she is not happy with the choice of groom.
As always in these books, there is a lot of delicious humor and wordplay. The romance really did seem to be ramped up in this one but in a believable way. I like how the heroine tests Cam to go beyond his gotta-play-by-the-rules mentality. The romance is a lovely one to follow, and given the circumstances as they get more and more complicated, it’s hard to see their way to a proper HEA. But that’s the fun of reading a romance! I so enjoyed these characters and their story. I am very much looking forward to my next trip to Alienn, Arkansas.
As head of security, Cam finally got a very rare few days off, naturally coinciding with a VIP disappearing from a visiting ship. And of course said ship needed to leave early to accommodate some travel difficulties.
As it turns out, the actual missing passenger was left behind, and someone else boarded ship in her place. Leaving the missing VIP behind with the head of security for 10 days.
Nasty mannered society dork, or hard working man? Ria knows what choice her heart has made, but negotiating out of an arranged marriage? Not easy.
If you have met the Alphas before, you probably already know Aunt Dixie- and she is a loo-loo with a shifter for a friend. A 10 day cruise with a casino on board? Right up her alley. She is also a tad psychic, and thinks her nephew and Miss Ria would be perfect together. Light years away Aunt Dixie still manages to meddle!
A wacky tale about love, lust, and crazy Aunt Dixie!

This was so much better than the first book, and I’m thrilled I decided to give this charming tale a chance. The characters were terrific, the plot was clever, the writing was superb, the dialogue felt natural and witty, the story itself was full of delicious anticipation and bittersweet longing, and the romance factor was at a galactic level.

This was a great little gem – a lovely contemporary take on the lady-fleeing-arranged-marriage theme, shaken together with the memorable characters in Alienn, Arkansas. The very sudden downfall of a normally very grumpy Alpha is included, along with the entirely predictably opportunistic rebellious antics of one Ms. Dixie. This is such a fun read – next!

Oh how I LOVE the fun, witty and romantic books of the Alienn, Arkansas series!
HOW TO LOSE AN ALIEN IN 10 DAYS (Alienn, Arkansas Book 2) by Fiona Roarke is another romantic romp through Alienn, Arkansas and the Big Bang Truck Stop. This time Cam Grey, Chief of Security at the Big Bang Truck Stop will learn to his surprise that sometimes he is willing to bend or break the rules when it comes to a sexy Alpha with a blue streak in her hair who jumps ship at the rest stop.
Alexandria “Ria” Latham Borne is on a get-to-know-you journey with her arranged marriage fiancée, chaperoned by her mother who wants the money and prestige from this marriage. Ria knows the true nature of her fiancée and wants nothing to do with him or this arrangement. She has studied everything about Earth and has a bucket list to accomplish. She jumps ship and makes her way to a karaoke bar, where she cannot believe her luck. She has found and is instantly attracted to a man, who she believes to be an Earthling.
Cam’s secret pleasure is to go to a karaoke bar just across the county line. When he sees Ria and she sings directly to him, he knows he has to have her, Earthling or not. Cam has been burned by an Earthling before, but he tells himself he just wants her in his bed for a short tryst, not forever.
When Cam finds out Ria defied colony rules, he should lock her up, but he just cannot lock up his rule breaker with a bucket list of Earth attractions. He breaks all of his rules to share what little time they have before she must leave.
This romance is so pure and simple which makes it so beautiful. Ms. Roarke writes romance with sex scenes behind the curtain and in this case, Cam will not have sex with Ria once he knows she is promised to someone else, but the romance is in everything they do together. The plot has some adorable twists involving Cam’s aunt, her best friend, and his brothers, Diesel and Axel. Once again, I loved all the unique play on word names of places and people. I laughed out loud in places, felt despair at how Cam and Ria could ever come together for their HEA, and loved how Ria saw everything on Earth with child-like eyes.
This is an easy to read series that plays on all your emotions without you realizing how much talent that takes from the author, who does a wonderful job in this series.
