Sophia Andreou has always been the “good daughter” who tried to keep her domineering father happy. She followed the rules and did everything that was asked of her. But this time, her father is asking too much. The family company is crumbling, and her father has arranged a marriage to a Greek billionaire who can save their property business. What?! Umm no thank you. If Cinderella can dress up to … to win a prince, surely Sophia can do the opposite and ditch hers…
Dion Kourakis has come a long way from being an orphan with only a single friend to his name. Now he runs a billion-dollar investment company and has the respect of everyone in Europe. His charming personality covers a lot of emotional scars, including his desire to make his mentor proud. Dion doesn’t exactly want a bride to go along with his next business deal, and he plans on letting the lass down gently when they meet…
Only, his future bride has turned out to be nothing like what he thought she’d be. She’s quirky and has a habit of turning up to social events in strange outfits. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what she’s up to, but the harder she tries to convince him she’d be an awful wife, the more he wants to convince her they’d be perfect together.

I fell in love with this author’s voice and style years ago when I read her Behind The Bar series and my love is still going strong!
I loved this story from beginning to end. It was refreshing and heartwarming and humorous and just plain easy. Sophia’s father has arranged for her marriage and she’s not too happy about it. So she sets out to hopefully sabotage the whole thing with shenanigans running amok! Dion doesn’t fool easily and before you know it, they’ve struck their own deal of convenience! Let the games begin …
As they both get to know each other and their friendship forges and their attraction sparks, their entire plan starts to fall apart because …. *happy sigh*
Feelgood, heartwarming, captivating and entertaining! Total hit for me!
How to Lose a Fiancé by Stefanie London is the story of Dion Kourakis and Sophia Andreou.
Sophia has tried to fit in and lay low without rocking the boat but at the same time work away from her father’s overbearing attitude. But now he is demanding that she go into a business marriage with Dion. Dion was once a orphan who pulled himself out of that life to become a successful billionaire. Dion who mentor Elias has a terminal illness which makes him want to do one last thing to seal his gratefulness and growth by buying Cyrus Andreou business even if it means marrying someone he doesn’t know. But Sophia goes into full crazy mode to give off the impression that she would not be a good wife and Dion starts to see into her scheme to back him away. They end up hitting common ground until someone else enters into the arena.
Loved their story and will be looking for more books from this author for sure!
This was such a good story. Sophia is being forced into an arranged marriage, and decides that the only way to get out of it is to make herself so off-putting to her new fiancé that he calls the whole thing off. The ploy doesn’t last for long though, because her intended, Dion, turns out to be a really good guy and she finds herself opening up to him. There are quite a few laughs in this book in addition to some steamy scenes. There was also a lot of heart. Sophia and Dion have a connection that feels genuine, and watching them fall for one another is beautiful. I highly recommend this one.
Note: I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Highly entertaining, laugh out loud, emotionally thrilling and engagingly charming romantic journey filled with family, loyalty, love and laughter… was a great read from beginning to end. I really loved all the witty banter, sizzling chemistry and exciting twists that happen between these two on this crazy fun adventure.
Sophia Andreou has always been a dutiful daughter, following the rules of her dominating father. She is secretly planning her escape, longing for a simple life in a small cottage, far away from Brooklyn and the machinations of her father. Her weak link is her mother, who is emotionally weak and subjected to her husband’s tyranny. When Sophia’s father concocts a scheme to sell his company and marry her off to the billionaire who is purchasing the company, she can’t refuse or her mother will suffer. What she does is devise a scheme so her intended fiancé will refuse to marry her.
Dion Kourakis was born from an unwed mother, rejected by his father, and raised in an orphanage. Feeling unwanted and unloved, he worked hard and amassed a fortune and has turned his back on love and marriage. He accepted this marriage because it was a condition for the purchase and he has a revenge plan related to this purchase. Even so, he is a kind man and he went to pick up his soon-to-be fiancé at the airport and got the surprise of his life.
Sophia’s plan is to turn into an outlandish, clownish and extremely eccentric woman, with a penchant for taxidermy. Their initial days together were hilarious and poor Dion didn’t know what hit him. Even so, he saw glimpses of the woman behind the disguise, and he was intrigued by her. Eventually, the story morphs from a humorous romance into a regular romance with its angsty and sexy times.
This was a sweet and simple romantic story, cute because of Sophia’s antics, angsty because of her loneliness which echoed with Dion’s loneliness too. It was a very enjoyable read, and I especially enjoyed Baroness Sasha Foxington III!
This book was a lot of fun. Sophie has been a pawn in her father’s scheme to somehow keep a part of his business when he sells it to Dion by making her a “bride” as part of the terms of sale. Dion has no problem with that since he is never going to marry for love and has done his homework and Sophie appears to be exactly what he needs as the perfect “wife” to show the world as he does business. She is beautiful and can will fit in with his many functions. He is in for a rude awakening when he meets her at the airport and Sophie the misfit walks up to him and he takes her for a homeless person. Oh, let the fun begin. These two circle each other and when Sophie brings in Sasha, the fox, all bets are off. Who will win this test of wills? These two are so much alike and neither wants to be a pawn but neither wants to be lose so who will win? Could it be they both will in the end? Definitely a winner and a must read!
Sophia and Dion’s unexpected love story in How to Lose a Fiance’ by Stefanie London, was an emotional and wonderful story of two people never planning to marry who needed to be honest, understanding, and communicate true expectations. Sophia tried to be the good daughter to please her domineering and controlling Greek father. This time, he had gone too far; forcing her to marry a Greek billionaire who can save the crumbling family company. Sophia wondered what would happen if she became a deconstructed Cindrella? Instead of dressing up to win the prince, she could dress gaudy and obnoxiously in order to get hers to reject her as his bride. Dion is no longer the scared, skinny orphan with only a single friend. Today he runs a billion-dollar investment company and is respected by everyone who meets him. On the surface, his charm hides many of his emotional scars, including his abandonment. Dion is not interested in having a bride as part of a business deal, so he plans on letting the gal down, gently, when they meet. However, his future bride is truly nothing like he thought she’d be; quirky and wearing strange outfits. Dion is smart enough to see past her surface to figure out her game. The harder she works to convince him that she is not wife material, the more he wants her to believe that they would be perfect together.
I loved the humor and creativeness Sophia and Dion use while trying to convince each other of their beliefs. Sophia’s use of Goodwill-type clothes to disguise her true beauty had Dion seeing through the covering to the rebellious actions. The use of the taxidermy animals was pure genius. I loved the fox, Baroness Sasha, and the various locations she was placed by either Sophia or Dion. These two strong and determined characters perfectly fit each other and their strengths enabling the other to become stronger.
Ms. London wrote a wonderful, sexy and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Sophia and Dion a chance at love, happiness, and a future neither expected. I highly recommend How to Lose a Fiance’ to other readers.

Sophia doesn’t want to be controlled by men any longer, so when the man who’s controlled her her entire life, her father, tells her she’s to marry a Greek billionaire, in order to benefit her father, rather than herself, she’s furious. So she determines she’s going to do everything she can to make herself unwanted by her soon to be new “husband.”
Dion is determined to buy his father’s company and tear it apart. The father who abandoned him. So when his latest deal puts him closer to that end, he’ll go along with it even if it means he has to get married to close that deal. He figures he can let her down easily, and everything will go back to normal. But then Sophia happens. She’s nothing like he had expected. She’s not trying to marry the billionaire, or seduce him the way women tend to do. She intrigues him and he wants her even though it’s obvious she isn’t into him. Or is she?
It was fun reading of Sophia’s attempts to throw Dion off. And it was even more fun reading how they fell in love. How to Lose a Fiancé was more than I had expected. It’s deeper, more interesting, and Sophia and Dion have surprising layers. Yes, it was a rom-com, but it wasn’t fluff, it was a sexy romance with heart and depth.
Sophia and Dion a match made in arranged marriage !
What happens when your family company is struggling and your father makes a deal and it includes you? Sophia has always done what is best for the family but she is certainly caught off guard when she realizes that she is to marry a man she has never met . Yes when she googles him he is easy on the eyes …..but he could still be sexy handsome and a weasel ..lol.
Dion has never wanted a wife but when she is written into the deal he decides to give it a go.
Sophia thinks that if she becomes everything that a trophy wife is NOT she will Lose this Fiance faster than you could blink an eye . She never expected Mr. Handsome and Debonair to be so thoughtful and kind . They are funny sexy and such a great story!!

An entertaining story with a hoot of a heroine. A taxidermist heroine? Sofia as the quirky heiress whose father is trying to marry her off is fabulous. And what a dreamy hero in the hunky Greek billionaire, Dion. Heart throb! Well, he needs a wife and Sofia fits the bill although she’s reluctant to say the least…until she meets the handsome Dion. Sparks fly and between the laughs there is the build of a steamy romance between two wonderful characters. Love the sassy, sizzling couple and sexy romance in another fantastic read from this terrific author. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
How to Lose A Fiancé by Stefanie London was a fun and charming read. An arranged marriage nobody wants, that is until they meet, then all bets are off. Sophia has always done what was expected of her, the good daughter. But when her overbearing father demands she marry for convenience, she is done. She has a plan to ditch said fiancé. I loved when Sophia was just herself. She was quirky and fun.
Dion worked hard to be where he is today. He was driven and determined but could still be caring and kind. He saw right through Sophia’s plans and even though he was also against the marriage, once he meets her he is drawn to her. I loved their witty interactions. How to Lose a Fiancé by Stefanie London was fun and steamy read.

Happy reading!
4 1/2 STARS!
Quickly addictive and absolutely delightful! With the second book in her Greek Billionaires series, Stefanie London brings new meaning to laugh out loud funny! With a quirky addition to her heroine’s repertoire that reader’s won’t soon forget, she delights our imagination and tickles our funny bone time and again. I loved that it had so much humor woven in, yet was also very spot on in delivering a sensitive side to each of the main characters that drew us into their story. Lots of fun to read with a satisfying ending!
Sophia Andreou can’t believe what her domineering father is stooping to this time. She has put up with many of his schemes in her day in order to keep peace in the household, but this time he’s sunk to an all time low. He expects her to marry a total stranger to get his flailing business and debts taken care of. So what if he’s a gorgeous Greek billionaire … she’ll figure out a way to get rid of him!
Dion Kourakis isn’t interested in marrying anymore than she is, but he is interested in obtaining that company … if marriage is the only way to do it, he’ll make do. Once he meets Sophia and all of her quirky ways, he realizes he’s in for the ride of his life!
I adore “marriage of convenience” romances and How to Lose a Fiance by Stefanie London is a wonderful addition to the trope. This story draws you in immediately, and the engaging plot continuously entertains with each and every moment. The two main characters, Sophia Andreou and Dion Kourakis, have amazing chemistry, and their relationship is replete with desire, compassion, and inspiration. This is the fourth book I have embraced from this author.
By day, Sophia works for her father’s property business, and by night, she runs her own virtual assistant company. Her tyrannical father has managed her life so far, and now he expects her to marry a man of his choosing, in order to keep his business from shutting down. Sophia has never disobeyed any of her father’s orders or schemes, and now her entire future is being planned out without her consent. Luckily for Sophia, Greek billionaire Dion Kourakis is gracious and genuine, however, he has his own agenda for purchasing her father’s business. Dion grew up unhappily in an orphanage and hard work is what has made him a success. He leads a lonely life, with one best friend, and a mentor/father figure who is suffering from lung cancer.
I really enjoyed this well-written book. The first few chapters are quite humorous, due to Sophia’s outlandish ideas and antics. Sophia and Dion challenge each other for the better, and as a result, their fragile relationship evolves into true love. In addition, their sexy times are quite hot. Sophia’s father was beyond manipulative, while her mom was a doormat. Overall, this is a solid romantic read that should be added to your TBR list.

Sophia and Dion made me laugh, cry and swoony sigh all through this book. Sophia gets super creative in how she decides to get out of an arranged marriage. She even goes so far as makes up a ridiculous hobby of taxidermy to through Dion off! He takes it all in stride though because with this arrangement comes something he’s been craving forever, his estranged father’s company. The emotions these two find while getting to know one another are deep. Some major soul searching happens and in doing so they find they truly like the other person and even themselves. Dion says he’s not a romantic but he shows Sophia how much he listens and cares for her in the most romantic of ways.
I loved this one so much!
Sophia and Dion have more in common than they ever thought possible. And through all of the antics, wacky attire, family bullying, and even Baroness Sasha Foxington III, they found their strength in each other and figured out the true meaning of love and family.
How to Lose a Fiance by Stefanie London was great book! I love how Sophia transformed as the time with by with out her controlling father. Dion is a great character too! I found Dion to be loyal alway he just need the push to see he was loved and could find love. I like that even though Dion was successful and had the power it was looking to by tryant to Sophia. I love the story of them find the loving they need in themself to bring them to love for each!
I truly in joyed the story!
Smart, seductive, and entertaining!
How to Lose a Fiancé is a hilarious, quick, steamy tale that takes us into the life of the stubborn, creative, Sophia Andreous as she endeavours to do whatever it takes to have the sexy, hardworking, billionaire Dion revoke the business deal that includes their arranged marriage.
The writing is whimsical and light. The characters are quirky, supportive, and passionate. And the plot is a laugh-out-loud funny blend of familial obligation, life, love, friendship, introspection, romance, awkward moments, embarrassing situations, and outrageous hijinks.
Overall, How to Lose a Fiancé is another sassy, sensual, amusing novel by London that has all the characteristics of a fantastic romcom, including adorable characters, a witty storyline, and the requisite swoon-worthy, happy-ever-after ending.
Sophia Andreou has always done as her father asked, or rather told her to do. She may have questioned his decisions in her mind, but she never voiced those opinions out loud. Until her father tells her she is going to marry Dion Kourakis. She’s had enough of being the ‘good daughter’ and when she voices her opinion her father tells her that she doesn’t have a choice. The family company is in debt and the only way to save it is by marrying her off to Dion in return Dion will buy the company. Sophia has other plans in mind when she heads to Corfu to be with Dion.
Dion doesn’t believe in love, after all look what it did to his family. He was orphaned as a child and is now a successful businessman. He has his own reasoning for wanting to buy the company from Sophia’s dad and the stipulation of marriage in order to complete the deal is fine by him. After all, marriage isn’t something he feels deeply about anyway. When Sophia lands in Corfu she throws Dion for a loop, he isn’t prepared for her eccentric dress and hobbies, Baroness Sasha Foxington III for example. As he tries to convince her that marriage won’t be so bad to him and she can have what she craves, she is trying to figure out a way out of it. When the two come to an agreement and Dion gets to know the real Sophia they begin to enjoy each other. When tragedy strikes can the two keep up the façade or will the part ways forever?
This is my first book by Stefanie London, and I have to say I really enjoyed it! When I first started reading I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel, but by the end I was hoping for more pages. The attraction between Sophia and Dion was beautifully written and the quirky things that Sophia did were a riot to read about. I was laughing so hard at some parts, while other parts slowly broke my heart. I couldn’t get enough of Sophia and Dion. I felt so bad for Sophia at some points but Dion was just what the doctor ordered. Well done Stefanie!
Sophia always tried to be the good daughter until her father arranged her marriage to a man she knew nothing about! The more she tried to portray herself as being the wrong woman for Dion, the more he saw her as the perfect wife. This story will captivate and have you smiling as Sophia makes her case for not wanting to marry but in the end, will Dion worm his way into her heart? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Stefanie London is fast becoming one of my major go-to authors for contemporary romance reads. She consistently writes books that I enjoy reading, and characters who I like to spend time with. This book is not an exception. The premise of this book is that Sophie is being forced into an arranged marriage to Dion by her controlling father.
The growth of the characters throughout the book is so well written. As Sophie and Dion become close and start to learn about each other, they actually grow up and become they people they were meant to be. This arc is what really made the characters “real” for me. Neither were perfect, they both made mistakes, but grew from their mistakes and owned them. This story was a heartwarming look at what really constitutes family.
Throughout the story Stefanie interwove moments that had me laughing out loud. One word – Taxidermy. If you want to know, then read this delightfully wacky and sweetly sincere romance by the lovely Stefanie London.
