Can she wow the nerd next door?Zoe has a great pair of legs, perky boobs, and wears exactly what she needs to show it all off. She works hard for the easy sleazy you only wish you were mereputation, burying who she really is—an all-out nerd. The only time Zoe gets to be herself is when she hides under her comforter to read X-Men comics, sending jealousy stabs at everyone who attends Comic-Con. … jealousy stabs at everyone who attends Comic-Con.
Zak’s a geek to the core, shunned by everyone in school for playing Dungeons and Dragons at lunch and wearing “Use the Force” t-shirts. And Zoe’s got it bad for the boy.
Only Zak doesn’t want Popular Zoe. He wants Geek Zoe.

It made me laugh, swoon, and desperately wish for a hot nerd of my own! —Farrah, Amazon reviewer

This book is SO MUCH FUN. Great characters, adorable story…winner all the way around.
One of my all-time favorite YA books. This book is full of Cassie Mae’s signature humor and heart that will leave you with a smile on your face.
This was a wonderful YA book with witty dialog and fun characters. Highly recommend!!!
High School Romance and Self-Discovery
This story is all about dealing with the bullies of high school, being your true self and finding love isn’t just sex. The story is more than believable. I am looking forward to reading more of this author’s work.
I bought this book and this is my honest review.
Since I have been on the geek-nerd-dork spectrum pretty much all my life, this story absolutely hit the spot.
Zoe’s yearning to “just fit in” felt all too real, as did her struggle to overcome her fears. Zak was the perfect counterpart for her (and now I wish there had been someone like him around when I grew up… Ah, well…).
I loved the less-than-perfect, but all the more realistic and (in some cases) more loveable characters – both Zoe and Zak, as well as their families and (some of their) friends.
This was the first book by this author that I’ve read, but it won’t be my last. I am looking forward to reading more in the series, especially since book #2 is Sierra and Levi’s story.
I loved this book so much! It (and the whole series really) remain a favorite that I can go back and reread when I need something funny and feel good. One great thing about this series is that you get to revisit characters in the rest of the books without it feeling like you’re reading the same repeated plot. Everyone has their own unique issues they’re dealing with.
This was one of the first books by this author that I read and all it did was make me fall in love with Cassie and all of her characters even more. I am forever a fan and will read EVERYTHING she puts out into the world for our reading pleasure.
This book is one of my all time favorites!! There are so many cute and sexy moments. It’s one of the few books I’ve read more than once. I have the whole series proudly displayed on my shelf. Seriously love it!
Love this book and the whole series in fact. Well developed characters. Also very lovable characters that you want to know more about.
This book made me a fan of Cassie Mae for LIFE
I love that I can always count on a Cassie Mae book to make me have all the feels! It’s never difficult to relate to the characters because they all go through real life problems and handle them in ways that are true to the characters. I especially love the moments between Zoe and her father. I feel you just don’t see enough positive father daughter relationships in books. Her father makes a mistake and makes up for it the way I think most fathers would. Then he is there for her when she really needs him the most with support and love! I just loved it and hope my husband and daughter have that when she gets older. Zak was also so adorably sweet which is typical for Cassie Mae characters, total swoon worthy! Levi was another wonderful addition to the book and I can’t wait to read more about him in the next book!
I felt like this story was super cute and super real. I knew people that were not themselves as they had “reinvented” themselves in high school. I love the idea of a popular girl turning to the “nerd” world to feel more like herself. It was a funny story.
It really did seem cute for the teen to read, but just as an FYI, there was some language. I didn’t grow up around a lot, but I think it is more normal than I ever knew.
