How by Megan Mitcham a five-star read that will have you questioning how this author can ever beat this story. This is number three in the Stalker series and in my eyes it’s the best of the three and I loved number one and two, it could easily be read as stand-alone, but I have loved them as a series as I have loved the world building, it really has encapsulated me totally. Libby Irish is a fiercely independent and she reminded me of myself in some ways, the independence and the fact I could have shaken her a couple of times, the joys of hindsight I suppose. But overall, she was just a great character that I couldn’t get enough off, and I am not the only one. This had elements of something else in it, Libby’s story in places sounded familiar but the overall story blew me away and kept me hooked.
This is the third installment of the seires following Lily. The men in this office give her a hard time as she has to prove herself as one of the team. Every part of this book is filled with action and suspense and in the second half, we get some very steamy scenes. I’ve loved each book in this series, but by far this had the most twists and turns , suspense and action, and all around kickarsey. I loved that Libby is such a fierce warrior, and at the same time loves with her entire heart. I would highly recommend this series of books
Trying to find who her stalker is?
Libby is a FBI agent and good at her job. She has to keep proving that she’s as good as the men she works with. She closes a big case but some how a picture of her in uniform and holding two guns goes viral on the internet making her a laughing stock at work. She gets fan mail and comments sent to her. Unfortunately she also gets a Stalker. Now she hs to find who and her neighbor offers to help as they have been in her home. Will they find them in time before they come after her? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Megan Mitcham’s 3rd edition in her Stalker Series, How, is a gripping suspense-filled romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Although I have had the pleasure of reading the other books in this series, How can easily be read as a stand-alone and was so immensely enjoyable I couldn’t put it down! I loved the quirky, evolving nature of Libby’s relationship with her strange neighbor along with the “cat from hell” whom she still loves dearly. At the same time, the story highlights some of the dilemmas of being a woman in a male-dominated arena casting light on certain levels of harassment and hazing Libby faces while while persevering. And of course the story wouldn’t be complete without special mention of the strong female friends Libby shares and who serve as part of her support network. This story has a bit of everything you could want – a kick-butt strong heroine, action, suspense, drama, excitement, and of course romance.

How (Stalker Series 3) by Megan Mitcham is a good little psycho thriller. It didn’t turn out quite how I imagined but I was close. Now come on don’t act like you don’t try to figure out the who-done-its. A little twist here and there. Of course, there is romance a bit more sizzle than I care for but hey different strokes for different folks. Definitely not a book for young adults. If you like to be kept guessing this book will do it for you.
When a crime scene photo breaks the Internet, an admirer turns pursuer, but how far will one FBI proxy go to rescue her loved ones.
FBI Special Agent Libby Irish seeks validation by outsmarting her male counterparts on the job. After unraveling a weapons ring, she finally believes she’s gonna get her due. That is until a revealing picture of her in front of the arsenal goes viral and she’s under the media’s radar but puts her as a joke to her fellow coworkers. If that’s not enough, Libby is receiving random letters from a secret admirer, an untamed cat attacked her plus someone has been sneaking into her house repositioning everything in there. That’s enough to make any girl go insane.
All the while speculates her gorgeous but lunatic of a next door neighbor. When devastation hits his home, he lends a helping hand to help the agent find her pursuer but she winds up seeing there’s more to her neighbor than meets the eye. Once the stalker becomes more audacious, the two must work diligently to destroy him before it takes a dangerous turn.
This book will most definitely keep you on your toes with the twists, turns and unexpected plus romance along the way. This is the third of this standalone series that will keep you hooked on this mysterious collection. I say collection because none of these books leave you without wanting more. Great reads, every single one because you can’t pick up one without starting another.
How (Stalker Series Book 3) by Megan Mitcham
5 of 5 Stars
I’m a fan of Megan Mitcham’s, ‘Stalker Series’ of books and this is book three in this series of, “high octane psychological suspense thrillers”. “If you like strong female leads, shocking twists, and a dash of romance”, then you’ll love this series of books. Book three did not disappoint and I was once again hooked from page one by Mitcham’s wonderful storytelling.
FBI Special Agent Libby Irish works in a male dominated workplace and she thrives off the constant pressure of proving herself in this environment. After she busts a notorious weapons ring she thinks she’ll finally get the deserved respect however when a photo of her very curvy figure in front of the guns goes viral she is not prepared for the media frenzy that follows and this only makes her the laughing stock of the division. Having to deal with the media, her suspension, flashing cameras everywhere she goes, a feral cat and unwanted fan mail Libby almost misses the fact that someone has been in her house moving small objects about. Her first thought is that it’s her sexy but slightly awkward neighbour but when she gets to know Jake better she discovers that he’s actually rather skilled and he even offers to help track down her stalker. However the couple must work quickly as the stalker is getting bolder and more dangerous putting Libby’s life in danger, just as Libby is realising that the chemistry between her and Jake is hotting up. Their chemistry literally sizzles of the page and results in some rather hot and steamy sex scenes.
This is definitely a fast paced thriller with plenty of action, suspense, romance and steamy sex scenes between the two main characters who are both likeable and realistic. I was gripped from the start and felt fully immersed in the storyline. A five star read which I definitely recommend.
Where to begin – What to say – I have read a few of this author’s books and now this one – this was a page turner that I just couldn’t put down – every time I thought I had everything figured out – another twist or turn – I would definitely recommend this book and I am certainly going to read the others in this series – BRAVO to Megan Mitcham!
You would think once you’ve become a FBI agent with a high solve rate you’d be well respected. If you didnt have female anatomy that might be true! Not only does Libby have to deal with crap at work, now she has a creepy stalker, a murderous cat, and a hot weird neighbor! Who can she trust and who is out to get her, that is the dilemma that her life has become.
How (Stalker Series Book 3) by Megan Mitcham is just WOW!! Explosive, shocking, thrilling and suspenseful. I loved the first two books and didn’t think Megan could take us to anything better but boy was I wrong. I laughed, I sobbed, and I kept looking at the shadows. I absolutely love the strong and sassy female characters and their equally sexy, hot and tough men. I can see the makings of a series with the men and the new adventure. OMG I certainly did not see the one humongous twist coming and it tore my heart in two and that right there is enough to show just how wonderful Megan is as she finely weaves those threads that pull it all together. I am a Meagan fan and need more.
KIcking in doors, taking down drug lords should be earning FBI Special Agent Libby Irish acknowledgment and accolades from her colleagues. Instead she is subjected to a battery of ignorant comments and so called “jokes” from her male coworkers, after media coverage of her latest case. Between forced time off from work, a stalker and her sexy enigmatic neighbour things are moving this well written story along. I enjoy how the author depicts female friendship with the strong bonds of Libby and her girlfriends. The heat between Libby and Jake was definitely dynamic.
This was a great conclusion to the series….at least I think this is the end. The first story began with a stalker and the last one ends with another stalker, but with enough of a difference between the two to keep you guessing. I loved Jake and Libby as much as I did Larkin and Beckett.
Libby should have been at the height of her career after solving a major weapons hoarding / potential terrorist case that took a year of effort on her part to locate the guns. Instead, because of the small-minded and petty egos of the all male team she works with, a leak of a photo that should never have been taken gives her boss the ammunition he needs to remove her from the case and her job, indefinitely. While on her forced leave, and stuck at home, secretly lusting after her hot next door neighbor, a stalker slowly begins his campaign to terrorize her. Small things like moving photos, and damaging plants that soon escalates to the murder of “her” cat, bombs and kidnapping. With help from Jake, the hot neighbor next door, Libby will have to work to determine where she picked up an enemy and come face to face with heartbreak and potential death before the end of the story.
Like the other books in the series, there were things that Libby did that really made me want to shake her. She’s a badass FBI agent who should have known better than to make assumptions and put herself in danger. She should have also learned from what happened to her friends that keeping secrets never ends well. Unfortunately, someone pays the ultimate price for her shortsightedness.
At the end of the day, for my first series by the author, this was great one. I really enjoyed these and had a hard time putting them down.
First off I must say if you’ve not yet read the previous books in this series then do so now!!!! It helps you gain context regarding relationships and more in this book. Holy moly what a read!! I’ve loved each book in this series, but by far this had the most twists and turns , suspense, action, and all around badassery! I loved that Libby is such a fierce warrior, and at the same time loves with her entire heart. If you come for someone she loves then you’d better run and run fast!! My fingers are crossed that our author either isn’t done with this kick butt series, or at least will do a series regarding the guys in this series (pertaining to their new jobs mentioned in this one). I truly couldn’t put this down from the moment I opened it!!! There are many difficult, gut wrenching moments in this, but the payoff is major!!! Enjoy!!!
P.S. I’d like to petition now that Douglas gets guys own book at some point .
Libby is a kick a** FBI agent who has to prove herself at every turn with her male colleagues and a boss who is a chauvinist. When a raid she was the lead on, and catches an arms dealer, she finally thinks all her hard work has been validated until a picture that goes viral has all her hard work go down the drain. Not only that but she has gained a stalker who will stop at nothing to get to her. Her only hope is her next door neighbour, a man who says nothing to her during all the time she lives next to him…that is until the stalker finally crosses a line that neither of them can ignore.
A great read with steam, suspense, action, surprises, twists and turns and a few misty eye moments. I liked Libby, she was fierce and didn’t hold back, was loyal to her friends and a great agent. Jake was a mystery and even though I warmed up to him, there were still a few questions about him that weren’t answered such as why not talk to her and what was his background, how did he end up where he is. I like to know all about the main characters and Jake was a mystery I needed solved and I would have loved a bit more on the stoic man, a paragraph or two inside his head. Otherwise it was a great read that I couldn’t put down, that flowed beautifully with edge of the seat suspense and descriptions that were spot on…..another hit by this author.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Now us readers can go fast into this one. I have also been reading alot of suspense with killers and such. Latching onto Special Agent Libby and follow her as we will discover someone else is following her. She takes a step forward for respect and then something happens to have a step taken backwards. You soon scratch your head wondering whom is and what exactly is going on. Then we find she has a good neighbor whom does more than be a good neighbor lol. LOve a good female lead as Libby is. It has it all this one does with it not just being suspenseful but a bit of entertaining along with the thriller it is.
A wonderful addition to a great series. This is Libby’s story. She’s a kickass FBI agent that is being harassed at work. Her hot next door neighbor is making her blood boil, but in an unsatisfied libido way. After being put on leave she realizes that someone is targeting her and she decides to deal with it on her own. All hell breaks loose and her neighbor comes running but who is he? Buckle up and get ready for a wild ride! This is a book not to miss! Lots of intrigue, hot sex, murder, mayhem, mystery and even romance.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
*****How (ARC) by Megan Mitcham: Really good — loved it!
All the feels, with heart and relatable characters…. a well written story with a good pace, a very nice build and a fine edge. This story has it all – sex discrimination, a stalker, murder and loss, mystery, great friendships, an alpha bad boy/good guy, love, and steam. It ended too soon!

I really enjoyed reading this book , it is filled with adventure, intrigue, and is action packed. The chemistry and interaction between the characters is wonderful. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
An awesome read. It is fast-paced, intriguing, and romantic. The heat level is high. There is betrayal, tragedy, and love. FBI Special Agent Libby Irish is a female trying to make it in a man’s world. She works hard, accomplishes her mission, and gets the shaft. Along with being on administrative leave, she attracts a stalker. Her brooding, hot neighbor, Jack, is first on her list but becomes her ally when things heat up. The characters are well-developed and make this story wonderful. I didn’t want to put the book down, it was that good. I highly recommend.
Received an advance copy from the author.
I absolutely love this series! This story keeps you on the edge of you seat trying to figure out who the bad guy is. The story line is well written, and the relationship between Libby and Jake is not your normal fall in love relationship, he doesn’t talk much (at all!) and she thinks it’s because he doesn’t like her. Finally, her problems bring them together and they manage to solve the case and fall in love.
