New York Times bestselling author Meghan March continues the utterly addictive Legend Trilogy in House of Scarlett.Gabriel Legend is unlike any other man I’ve ever met.
He came into my life like a hurricane, shattering all my assumptions and preconceived notions.
I wasn’t prepared for him. I wasn’t prepared for any of it.
But life doesn’t wait until you’re ready.
Whatever happens next, I know one … you’re ready.
Whatever happens next, I know one thing for certain.
I will never be the same Scarlett I was before I met him.
House of Scarlett is the second book in the Legend Trilogy and should be read after The Fall of Legend, book one in the utterly addictive Legend Trilogy.

House Of Scarlet……I am here for it all!
This is the second book in the Legend Trilogy, and with the way Gabriel-aka Legend-and Scarlett’s story has unfolded so far, I just know that (Book# 3 -The Fight for Forever) the conclusion is going to be AMAZING!
In the first book (The Fall of Legend) it was easy to fall in love with these two. From that unusual first meeting all the way to the heartbreaking final pages, which ended in this author’s signature cliffhanger style, the story is nothing short of addictive.
Carry that addictive plot line over into House Of Scarlet, and what you get is a book that gives you a chance to know more about Gabriel and what happened in his past.
You also get to see what Scarlett is really about and just how important a close knit group of friends can be to a girl who has had her heart shattered.
I am an absolute sucker for the whole “I’m not good enough for her so I can’t have her” torture that Alphas have to go through before they stop fighting it and finally decide to go get their woman.
And that is exactly what you are going to get in this book….but wait, there’s more!
There are some vital secrets revealed and some sharp turns ahead, but that is just a taste of what’s to come.
The best way to describe this book is to say that it is the calm before the storm, and I can’t wait to be doused with all of the sexy yumminess and answers I know I’m going to see in the conclusion.
It should go without saying that this book is well written, with fire hot chemistry and an unpredictability that I absolutely love in a Meghan March book. And as usual, there are many side characters to love (and hate) that are worthy enough to deserve their own books-fingers crossed.
I would highly recommend this book and any other book by this author. There’s not a disappointment among them.
*Book #1- The Fall of Legend must be read first.
I loved the second book in the Legend Trilogy and I am looking forward to the final one. I loved the connection Scarlett and Gabriel had in The Fall of Legend, so hot and off the charts and it continues in the book with more emotion. These two get back face to face with a little help from little sister Flynn and the feelings are heating up. Spending time together getting to really know each other is just what they need. Gabriel is dealing with troubles about his club, “family” and the future as they navigate this relationship. Just as things are falling into place another bombshell cliffhanger leaves me wanting more……Love It
The House of Scarlett is the second book in the Legend trilogy. Scarlett and Gabriel move forward with their relationship and she realizes who will truly be there for her. This book is page turner that you can’t put down. As with Meghan books , this one ends with a bang!! Hurry up January 14!!
Holy Snowballs, Meghan you’ve left me speechless yet again. When I think Meghan can’t make me fall anymore in love with Legend and Scarlett she proves me wrong. The heat and chemistry of these two is undeniable and unforgettable experience. I absolutely having a girl crush on Scarlett, she strong and take charge woman who knows what she wants and Legend is more than willing to follow her. Their relationship is growing and all I wanted to do is cuddle in my blanket with no kids and enjoy every word of this couple.(If you’ve kids that like to ‘mom’ you every five seconds…..find a babysitter so you can enjoy every minute with no interruptions.) And if you think the cliffy from Fall of Legend had you OMGing prepare to be absolutely speechless.
What an incredible book by Meghan March! Book 2 in the Scarlett and Legend story picks up where the first one left you and drags you right back in for more of their incredible story. A must read!!
Wow, what a roller coaster of a read! I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I wasn’t sure what to expect after how the first book in the trilogy ended, but this one surprised me somewhat. I was very happy with the plot, and I loved watching Scarlett and Legend’s relationship unfold across the pages. There were some pretty intense moments, but I won’t say what happened. That cliffhanger ending made me want the next book in my hands now though.
I’d never go for a guy like Legend in real life, but I can definitely appreciate him as a book boyfriend. Scarlett grew on me more and more; I loved how she was finally coming into her own, and standing up for herself. I also liked seeing more of Flynn, and even Scarlett’s friends. We didn’t see as much of Bump, Q, and Roux as we did in the last book, but I’m sure we’ll see more of them in the final book.
I highly recommend this trilogy if you like MMA/fighting, a bit of a “wrong side of the tracks” love story, and some suspense. Just be prepared for drama and feels along the way!
This series just keep getting better and better. Legend proving his love for Scarlett is amazing. Both are protective of one another. The loyalty that Legend has for is circle of friends is so heartfelt. The characters in this series before and now are truly amazing. I can’t wait to see who can have their next story. The cliffhanger was no shock but still curious how it will play out along with what’s going on with Scarlett.
Love Meghan March & her books! The cliffhangers kill me but…still love reading this authors work.
House of Scarlett is a great continuation of The Fall of Legend! Legend and Scarlett so fun to read about, their story had me GLUED to the pages!
Like most of this authors books, this ones loaded with tons of hot chemistry, lots of drama, emotional turmoil and even the mystery of wondering what will happen next.
I’m loving Legend! I’ve got a thing for alpha males in books and he cuts the bill perfectly! Meghan March’s heroines always make me root for them too!
There is another cliffhanger, which I love to hate but be warned.
Def recommend!
I’m sad to say that this one took me a minute to get into it. I really do enjoy this story, that’s not the issue, it’s just reading rough for me. Some moments the story is to slow paced, some moments the chemistry seems to have disappeared between them, and then in others it’s just not clicking for me.
I wanted this one to move the story along a bit more than it did. I think that is my biggest issue with this one, and the only reason I marked it down. I wanted more then just back and forth with this book.
I love Legend. I think he’s a great character, and I would consider him among my favorites from Meghan. I don’t think I’ve connected with Scarlett as much as I would have liked too. She’s not bad, but she’s just not there for me. I’m hoping this changes in the last book.
Even though this one isn’t all the way there for me, I’m still reading the last book. I recommend these books because I know their good, even though I have a few issues with them. Meghan is a great writer, and I’ve got a long list of books for you to check out
Meghan March served up a hot as heck beginning to her Legend trilogy in THE FALL OF LEGEND, leaving us all revved up and ready to see what would happen between Scarlett Priest and Gabriel Legend. Well, no surprise, Meghan has done what she does so well, and outdone herself with HOUSE OF SCARLETT (Book 2).
I’m not going to lie, I fell in love with Scarlett, Legend, and their whole coterie of friends and family. It’s wonderful to see Scarlett’s and Legend’s story continue, to find out more about them, and to learn what has made them who they are. And, sizzle? You betcha. These two have got it in spades. As ever, Meghan writes characters that jump off the page, full of personality and quirks that land them squarely in my heart.
Then there’s the matter of the cliffhanger. Meghan does them so very well, and, frankly, I’d be a bit disappointed if things tied up all nice and tidily. I mean, life is rarely neat and clean, especially if it’s in one of the worlds created by Meghan (what I’m getting at is ANGST, y’all). And, there’s one more book, after all, so we have plenty more time and story to anticipate and savor Scarlett, Legend, and their world. THE FIGHT FOR FOREVER is coming our way very soon, so, in the meantime, make sure that you end the year with one of the hottest book duos around.
House of Scarlett is the second book in the Legend Trilogy and Meghan March again gave us another page-turner we were unable to put down. This story continues from book one and gives us a deeper look at and more insight into Legend and Scarlett. I enjoyed seeing the development of their relationship in this novel. Of course in true Meghan style, that cliff hanger ending will leave you speechless and anxious for more. House of Scarlett was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance.
Well now… does MM know how to keep us on our toes or what?! Gabriel is a big ol teddy bear and how he came back from that cliffy?! Lucky duck. Scarlett and Gabriel adore each other and I’m glad we got to see more of that but WHATS GONNA HAPPEN NEXT?! #needthenextoneasap

Yes, please and THANK YOU Meghan! The House of Scarlet was everything I imagined and oh so much more!! If you have not read The Fall of Legend, you must before picking up this book, and trust me it’s worth it. I thought I loved Gabriel in the first book, but man do I LOVE him now. Gabriel, whew….I need more! I loved watching his and Scarlet’s relationship grow. In true Meghan fashion, there are twists and turns I never saw coming! I cannot wait for book three!
4 stars for – House of Scarlett – book two in the Legend Trilogy by Meghan March. Book one – Fall of Legend – must be read first due to a continuing story line. Please be advised this one does end in quite the cliffhanger but the final book is due out the early part of January so we don’t have to wait too long to find out where things go next.
This book picks up right where we left off in book one and develops rapidly from there. Scarlett and Gabe’s relationship evolves into something they never hoped to wish for and they will both go to extremes to protect the other from harm. With outside influences coming at them from all directions they band together to overcome them in the most sexy, explosive ways Ms. March can dream up. It looks like their biggest obstacle is up next and I can’t wait to see how they conquer this one!
I really enjoyed how this book delved deeper into both Scarlett and Gabe individually and brought them together in the most explosive ways. So many characters have popped up both new and old that I can’t wait to read more about. I have a feeling the conclusion to this trilogy will start my year off right!
Book 1 started out slow for me but towards the end picked up some momentum. Book 2 was full steam ahead with Meghan’s trademark holy Hannah cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the conclusion of this series.
House of Scarlet is the middle book in the Legend trilogy, and it does an outstanding job as a transition book. It deals mostly with the development of the relation between Scarlett and Gabriel, and it gets us to know them better and to like them more. After the sad cliffhanger where Gabriel dumps Scarlett, she goes back home and just stews. She’s sad, despondent, and confused. Gabriel feels guilt and devastation. I wanted to knock Gabriel’s head for being such a dumb@ss.
In the first book, we got all the excitement of when they meet, they like, they lust and they spar a little. After her kidnapping by Bump, Scarlett decides to help Gabriel rescue his club with her social status patronage. She also sends her boyfriend, Chadwick the douche, packing. Scarlett has daddy issues and is horribly hurt by her father’s indifference. This doesn’t change in this book, and we hurt for Scarlett as she sheds tears over her father’s negligence. Gabriel’s rivalry with Bodhi Black intensifies, his club money issues have improved but are still dire, and his friend Q is on his back to tend to his problems and forget about Scarlett.
Scarlett has a health issue (read it to find out!), Flynn acts out and gets Gabriel to come running and we get a sweet reunion. We get to know Scarlett’s ex-stepsister Flynn better and she’s a hoot. She financed her college studies by doing midnight illegal races, she’s spunky, irreverent, and very kind to Scarlett. They forge a sisters bond in this book and it’s totally sweet.
In this book, nothing major or dramatic happens, it’s all sweet and spicy moments. And yet, the book is totally entertaining, thanks to this author’s stellar storytelling. Gabriel calls Scarlett “ladybug”, so Scarlett starts to try out nicknames for him: bossy, cowboy, he-man. Nothing sticks and they have fun getting cheesy with each other. I had a sense of impending doom because we know Scarlett has a stalker and Gabriel has two dangerous enemies, but it all stays in the background as we enjoy the lovey-dovey life of Scarlett and Gabriel. Gabriel makes a couple of moves (read to find out!) that may or may not cause him to get into big trouble with Scarlett, but we’re left hanging to find out in the next book.
The book ends in an explosive cliffhanger, so next installment is going to be epic.
I love everything Meghan March. I don’t think Legend grabbed me as much in this book as in book 1. I know I should love a guy bending over backwards to help a girl but I guess I like more of a bad ass who doesn’t put it all out there. I was a little turned off by him taking all that time to take care of her when she got out. Other then that, I’m excited to watch the rest of this story play out!
I wrote this review based on an advance reading copy that the publisher sent me.
And the Queen of the Cliffhanger strikes again! I knew it was coming, and I knew it was going to be a doozy, but still, somehow, Meghan March has the keen ability to reel you in and shock you with a cliffhanger. And does it ever make you want more!! Well played Meghan; well played.
House of Scarlett is Book two in the Legend trilogy and is proving to be one of my favorites! Because of the stage that Meghan has set in these first two books, I just KNOW some epic showdowns are going to happen in book 3, and I am already feenin’ for it! I can’t wait to have the ending! The countdown begins now!!!
House of Scarlett is book two in the Legend Trilogy.
Things are heating up in a good way between Scarlett and Legend, but something nefarious is brewing.
Legend is on high alert, trying to curtail his super-alpha so he doesn’t scare off Scarlett.
Then…BOOM! I need the third and final installment of the Legend Trilogy stat!
NO SPOILERS!
Meghan March did it again! House of Scarlett, the second installment in the captivating and utterly addicting Legend Trilogy, was sweet, sexy, and swoon-worthy with an underlying theme of suspense. House of Scarlett kept me on my toes the entire time, and the ending left me dying for book three. Gabriel and Scarlett were EVERYTHING, and I fell even more in love with them this time around. I honestly couldn’t get enough of them and their story, and I can’t wait to read the conclusion in The Fight for Forever!
