Falling in love with four demigods is the least of her worries now that she’s pregnant with a powerful child wanted by the gods.
Brenna Evans never imagined this was how her life would turn out.
Pregnant and on the run from hunters wanting to kill her unborn child, Brenna accepts the protection of the demigod Brandt Ridley and his three friends, any of whom could be the father of her child.
As … of her child.
As Brenna struggles to make the difficult choice of selecting a mate from the four men, the prophecy surrounding her child changes, throwing her life into further chaos. The Goddess Freya and the God Lopt become locked in a battle to claim Brenna and her gifted baby, complicating things for Brenna and the decision she must make.
But that’s not all. As the baby grows, the stronger it becomes, and now its destructive powers have transferred to Brenna who must learn to control her new abilities before they consume her.

Concept: great, execution: poor that isn’t to say the authors are bad writers their proze is great it’s the subject matter they fall into a pit with.
Book 2
The story gets better in this but it feels like the start of the story is actually the end of the first book which means the end of this book is in the 3rd
The story goes along slowly in places and the reactions seem unauthentic

So book two picks up immediately after the cliffhanger from book one and it immediately leads you straight to Brandt. But nothing is as simple as it appears to be, that is something I’ve learned very quickly with these two books. Just when you think you’ve worked something out, the author throws is a twist and catches you off guard.
So much like before, I love a good old twist on mythology and this series so far does exactly that. I won’t go into too many details as I don’t want to give away spoilers but part of this book had me pissed off. I mean, really pissed off. And for anyone who has read it will probably understand why. I mean…it’s not fair. Like at all. I know there is another book to come in this series and I’m hoping that the author somehow manages to fix it because I mean….come on, they’re Gods. That has to mean something right?
But overall I’m really enjoying this series and I really can’t wait to see how it all comes together in the end for these characters. Great story building, brilliant characters and a overall a thrilling read right until the very last page. But again….cliffhanger.
Very intense story. Loved all the characters. There are many twists and turns through out the story. I love how Brenna and Brandt’s story continues to build through the books.

Okay first off this is not a reverse harem book but the plot is still good so I rated it a 4. But this book dose pick up were the first one ended Brenna needs to find Brandt the man she loves her friend sacrificed herself so Brenna could get answers but with Hunters and ancient Gods after her she needs Brandt now of and shes pregnant but how she never made a choice between Eric, Colby, Jerrick and Brandt well she is in love with Brandt but she shouldn’t be pregnant without choosing one and shes convinced it’s a girl because of a dream but the prophecy says it’s a boy. Everyone wants her child Brenna is growing in power and Brandt and Brenna are having more troubling dreams. Yes there is another cliffhanger but the third book will hopefully tie everything up.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
I know the first story ends on a cliffhanger and this one starts off where the first ended, but I have to tell you it was so worth the wait! Breena is now moved in with the gods and is pregnant. She must think about her unborn and the gods must think how to keep her and her baby safe. WOW! Samantha this just gets better and better with ever book written in this universe! I love all the gods and Breena is the highlight. This has great world building and the universe that you have created is visual and vibrant! This book also ends on a cliffhanger but I truly believe that the end is going to be worth it! I can not wait for more!

This is book 2 in the series and so this one also ends with a cliffhanger. The story continues with the same characters and there is still plenty of mystery to the story. Nice world building and interesting characters. Now I have to wait for book 3.

She must protect her unborn child as everyone wants it
House Of Gods 2 is the second book in The Gods Of New York series. The story of Breena, the reincarnation of Freya, Norse Goddess of life and death, and her four demigods, Erik , Brandt, Colby and Jeri, continues. Breena had moved into the penthouse these four men shared and had to choose one of them to be her partner and father a child with her. But the problem is that she has fallen in love with each of them, but only one was a true love. Now her story becomes even more complicated as the prophecy of her special child is changing. But she finds herself on the run for both her and her unborn child’s life.
This book is fast paced with a story that kept my attention and characters that were interesting. This is a lot going on in the story so you do have to pay attention to the details, as you may miss something that becomes important later on. Be warned that this is not the end of Breena’s story as there is another book coming in this series. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
