Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old — when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, … and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer.
Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries. Now the determined deity has tracked him down, and Atticus will need all his power — plus the help of a seductive goddess of death, his vampire and werewolf team of attorneys, a sexy bartender possessed by a Hindu witch, and some good old-fashioned luck of the Irish — to kick some Celtic arse and deliver himself from evil.
BONUS: This special eBook edition includes two bonus short stories set in the world of the Iron Druid Chronicles: Clan Rathskeller, and the eBook exclusive Kaibab Unbound.

Although I’ve always been a romance reader, I’ve also been a Fantasy/Paranormal fan ever since my preteen self found The Hobbit way back when. While on a long road of recovery this year, I‘ve wandered a bit from my strict romance diet. I’ve reread all my Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews books which, although they have a touch of romance, are …
Loved this book and I loved Oberon, the dog. I highly recommend it!
I found this book very intertaining and enjoyed it so much that I read the entire series. Some of the later books were a little on the dark side but still found them entertaining and whimsical enough to read the entire series. I actually had to wait for each of the books to come out.
Read the whole series, you won’t be disappointed!
I’ve been waiting for the next Jim Butcher book and dying for something to get me through the wait, when I came across this gem–first in series novel. If you love the Dresden files, you’ll enjoy this writer’s take on druids and magic, and blending in with the real world. Well done! I’ll be getting the next in series for sure.
This book introduced me to the Iron Druid and sucked me into the entire series. I reread the entire series regularly, but mostly “Hounded”.
The magic concept of this book is unique and awesome (all about druids and drawing power from the earth and such). It’s funny too, and a nice addition to my urban fantasy collection. Off to read the others in the series!
Great story!
Wildly entertaining & action packed. Not to mention laugh out loud funny!
This is a series to read and re-read. Funny, captivating, each one a page-turner!
A light paranormal romp through multiple mythologies centering around Atticus O’Sullivan, a 2000 year old druid with the looks of a 21 year old. I call this light as you meet various characters, none of which have a great deal of depth, but have the potential to grow in future stories. Atticus swings between being a hip 20-something with potty …
Atticus O’Sullivan has a bond that allows him to telepathically talk to his Irish wolfhound Oberon. I am obsessed with Oberon almost as much as the dog is obsessed with French poodles.
But those are only two reasons to love this book.
Atticus incurred the wrath of a god when he picked up a legendary sword that flew from the hand of an Irish king …
I am now on book 5 of this fun fast moving series. I love Atticus and Oberon is my dream dog. Snarky fun and interesting. My only complaint is that they read too fast.
Love this series. My son (26) and I have both read the entire series. The audiobook versions are also great.
I listened to these books on Aubible and the way the story was written and the narrator told it had me hooked in 5 minutes! I love this series!
One of the most entertaining books I’ve read. A little snarky and there are some lessons in hubris that the main character learns throughout the series. I can’t say I’ve been brought to tears by any of his books but one does learn to care about the characters and enjoy his foibles and missteps as well as his persona. There are a wonderful cast of …
F*ing fantastic! It is really hard to find an author who can incorporate humor into their story with ease. Kevin Hearne nails it with his Iron Druid series. Fun, inventive, exciting. It’s definitely a book/series I would recommmend over and over.
Absolutely love his Druid series. Great read!
The first couple of books were the best, loved his home town characters, and of course Oberon.
I love this book. Hubby got it for me for Christmas as a single hard back book, Iron Druid Chronicles Volume 1.
The main character is Atticus O’Sullivan, the last remaining druid in the world. I love how modern and quirky this character is. He has a dog, Oberon, an Irish Wolfhound. Through his druid powers, Atticus and Oberon can speak, …
