She was human. Beneath him.But worst of all, she was his fated mate. Cormac MacConall, an immortal fae hell hound, has been hunting for his parents’ killer for fifty years. The fact that it’s taken this long is shameful. As the alpha of his family, he refuses to return home to his brothers until he’s avenged their death. Just when he thinks he’s closing in on the killers, though, he stumbles on a … though, he stumbles on a beautiful woman in the middle of the woods.
Meghan Walsh is feisty. Sexy. But also human and therefore untouchable. Yet he can’t help but touch her. There’s nothing more forbidden and even if it wasn’t, she’s the last thing he needs right now.
All Meghan wanted was to escape her overbearing aunt and uncle and to find a place to call home. Too bad her latest ride dumped her on the side of the road. And then she runs into the hard-headed but seriously sexy Cormac MacConall. If only she understood why one minute he’s pushing her away and the next he’s kissing her senseless.
But he needs her help and as they track the killer together, Cormac soon realizes that Meghan may be more than just a distraction – she may be his enemy’s most lethal weapon.

I really enjoyed the characters, they had such depth and history. Lots of twists and surprises, but a great romance. I think I hopefully spotted a future romance as well! This is a series and I really liked this beginning book. The audiobook had two narrators who did an amazing job making me feel a part of the story. Can’t wait for more.
I really enjoyed this paranormal book even though this is not my usual genre to read. This book has fae, wolfs, action, suspense and mystery that is very well written and keeps you invested in the story from start to finish. The characters are likable and have interesting back stories. Well worth the read!
Absolutely LOVED this book, and am hooked! Can’t wait for the next!
Hounded has everything: sizzling chemistry between Cormac & Meghan, love, action, drama, supernatural, humor, some horror, all types of emotions, family bonds, mythological history, paranormal, angst and of course the sorching sex! This book has all types of elements that many different genre-readers would enjoy. A.S Green cleverly provides the reader a map illustration where the story takes place & a paranormal dictionary/pronunciation key for terms used at the story’s beginning. This is very helpful as you are introduced to Cormac & Meghan’s World. A.S Green has a strong talent for world-building, setting the scenes and creating a history between all the different races. I pretty much inhaled this book in one sitting and stayed up late to finish it. Cormac & Meghan are perfect for each other. Cormac’s intensity is swoon worthy! All I can say is, I wish Cormac had cousins, so I could have my own cu sidhe!! *I received an ARC for my honest review.
Cormac is one of my fav shifters!! I like those alpha males gruff and overprotective.
I loved this book, it was well written and full of so many emotions. The characters were different from each other it made it fun to read about them together. I loved Cormac and Meghan to very stubborn characters that had to learn to work together. The author did a great job with this book and I can’t wait to read the next one.
Another great and sexy read filled with Celtic lore and Hellhound shifters! If you love traditional shifter romances filled with a possessive alpha, a headstrong heroine, danger lurking around every corner, and unique folklore, then this is a must-read!
The Fae of Minnesota, The hell hound and his halfling
St Patrick did more than bring Christianity and drive the snakes out of Ireland, he waged a war against the Sidhe, as an unnatural abomination, an affront to God. The Black Castle was born to carry out his mission. While he didn’t succeed, many left and settled in Minnesota along Lake Superior. A half a century ago, the Black Castle found them.
Carmac MacConnall, cu sidhe, a hell hound, lost his parents at 15 when the Black Castle first found the Sidhe in Minnesota. He and his three younger brothers were saved by a Puca. Five year later he lost his youngest brother, age 10, to them. Carmac made a vow, he would not return home until the took the life of a Black Castle for each of his family he lost. 50 year later, the sidhe are still dying, and he is still hunting.
Meghan Walsh, has been on her own since she turned 18 and left her Aunt and Uncle’s house. She lost her parent when she was 5 and never had a real connection to her Aunt and Uncle. For the last 3 years she has wondered, looking for a place to belong, looking for a family. Her wondering has brought her to Minnesota, on her way to Canada.
Carmac finds Meghan in a fairy circle following the smell of blood. At first sight he thought she was one of the fae, then he realizes she is a Padraig, a human. Something about her calls to him. She just may be able to help him track down the Black Castle who are killing the sidhe in the area.
Things get complicated when Carmac realizes Meghan is his anamchara, his soul mate and she has ties to the Black Castle.
Fast paced and steamy. Great world building. Looking forward to Declan and Aiden’s stories.
Something different for me to read. Interesting
This is book 1 in the Fae Hell Hounds Fated Mates series. Cormac is on a hunt and got a hint of something. He goes to inspect and sees a faerie ring. Here he meets Meghan. This story was very interesting and has some great twists. Even though Cormac won’t admit it, Meghan is his mate. This story is well written andnall the characters are great.
This was a good read. I enjoyed very much.
A solid paranormal/fantasy story that is both character and plot rich. I read fast and can’t wait to read the next installment in this series.
Cormac is on a mission to avenge his family, when he finds a women in the woods he doesn’t know how to handle the feelings he has for her. Meghan is running was from her family living day by day. When they are thrown together there are many surprises in their future.
This book is an unique paranormal read. It keeps you reading with many surprised you don’t see coming. There is the right amount of romance, angst, suspense, action in it.
This is the first book in the series and I accidently read this one second. I really enjoyed Meghan and cognacs story and it gave a little more explanation of him and his brothers families background and what happened to their parents. cormac is a bounty hunter who us out for revenge on the people who killed his parents and stumbles upon a girl in trouble and stops to help her.He never imagined he would be the one his hound chose to mate with and as she tags along on with him on his quest, he tries very hard to fight his urges to make her his. She is human after all and there is no way he could ever be worthy of someone like her. Meghan is escaping her overbearing aunt and uncle but dceides to hitch a ride with the wrong guy and ends up running into some hot stranger she cant help but be drawn to. But trouble seems to follow him and he doesn’t know if he will be able to keep her safe when the time comes. I really enjoyed this story and enjoyed the chemistry between both characters. They had both lost people they loved and both were stubborn when it came to letting people into their heart. This was a pretty quick read for me and I finished it in one sitting not being able to put it down. I look forward to reading more from this author and hopefully more about this couple in the future.
This is my first book by this author but it was simply amazing. I love a good paranormal book and an alpha male. Throw in a feisty female character and I was hooked from the very beginning. I can’t wait to read book two in this series. Highly recommended.
This is the first book I have read by A. S. Green, but it won’t the the last. This is also the first book in this series, and I am very glad that I decided to expand my reading, and give this book a chance. I am fairly new to the paranormal/shifters type of books, so I read the glossary at the beginning and was like what have I gotten myself into. But I will say I was drawn in by the characters from page one, and could not put the book down. Cormack MacConnell is a fae hellhound, who is trying to avenge the deaths of his parents and youngest brother. Meghan Walsh is a paighe…or is she? He meets her and the chemistry is almost instantaneous. Meghan is running from a not so pleasant life. I’m happy this is the first in the series, and anxiously am awaiting reading the next one.
Cormac is a immoral fee hell hound. Who has been searching for his parents killer for over 50 years just as he is getting close to finding the killer he runs into this human Meghan in the woods, who she is running from her life. The attraction is right there but this is off limits for him. The story is really good and the author keeps you wanting to find out what will happen.
When I first started to read the book, I wasn’t sure I would like it. The first couple of chapters seemed a tad confusing to me because of the immersion in Sidhe lore. But then it exploded and everything became this gorgeous story interwoven with rich characters full of depth and dimensions. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat and even though I figured out the ins and outs less than halfway through, it was written so well, I couldn’t wait to see how everything meshed together. Ms. Green, you have a lovely talent and I anxiously look forward to more in this series. Well done!
Hounded by A.S. Green is an awesome story that I have read. This is book number one in this awesome series and I can not wait to read more by this author. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about shifters.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I felt like this story isn’t finished. It didn’t end on a cliffhanger, but it definitely didn’t end. I see that others have a story coming so the fight might still be on.
Shifter stories are new to me. I didn’t get into the Twilight craze. So there are a few things I have questions about in the general sense of shifters. I think Meghan and Cormac need another story of their own so we can see how their dynamic works out (ie him hound her not). I don’t want second hand accounts from others stories of how things work, I want their own story to continue.
There were others I want to learn more about and I’m hoping we get that chance in their own story. I know I sorta just contradicted myself there.
