My first job with the Cerberus MC was to grab a girl from a seedy bar. Easy money, right? The moment I realized the blonde I was hunting wasn’t around, I ended up captivated by a redhead dancing on the stage. With her striking features and sinful body, I knew she was trouble, but that didn’t stop me from making her mine that night. When I learned that she WAS the job, everything became clouded. I … became clouded.
I was only looking for a one night stand, but when the dust settled and she ran, my only desire was to chase her.
Should I risk my job, and quite possibly my life, in order to have her? Would she even stay if I caught her?

If I could I would give this book way more than 5 Stars. I’m loving the next generation of Cerberus. Hound (Jameson) and Gigi are super hot together, their chemistry is off the charts. To be honest I wasn’t sure I would like to read about Gigi, but I felt for her after reading this. I devoured this book and wanted more. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Marie James knows how to write a wonderfully captivating story, it pulled me in from the beginning to the end.
** spoiler alert ** Hound was tasked with one thing, find the bosses runaway daughter. Gigi has never felt good enough and just wants to feel wanted. He shouldn’t want her, but their hearts and bodies have other plans. Will Hound step up to the plate? Will Gigi find the feeling that has been missing?
Loved, loved, loved seeing Gigi get her Happy Ever After. I have to admit that I absolutely loved Hound’s character. I loved how he was domineering, but still acknowledged that she had a choice. Gigi was related in the fact that I’m sure at some point, everyone has felt the way she did, even if they didn’t handle it in the same way she did. Great read and cannot wait to dive into the next one!
I can’t get enough of the Cerberus MC. I could read them over and over again. This new series is the second generation of the MC and just as addictive…
Hound, one of the MC’s newest members is tasked with finding and retrieving a female. Which leads him to a strip club. Where he encounters a beautiful red head, that he just can’t turn down. Only then to realise the red head was his mission, and the daughter of MC’s president…
Can Hound get himself out of the trouble he’s gotten himself into?
Such a great book! Can’t wait to read more
Holy smokes was this an awesome read! This is part two of the spin off series, but to really get the full effect of its awesomeness, I do recommend reading the original Cerberus MC series first. We knew that Gigi was gonna be trouble in book one, Lawson, now we get to find out just to what extent she will go. Hound’s first job working with Cerberus is having to find a spoiled daddy’s girl and return her back home. Along his search he finds himself attracted to a stripper and makes a point of making nice with her, it isn’t until after their fun was over that he found out she was the daddy’s girl. When she runs away, Hound has to decide if he follows or just lets her go, and figure out if she is worth losing his job over.
This was freaking fabulous!!! The sexy times were so hot, and the drama was just the right amount. As a parent Gigi’s actions killed me, but I completely understood her reasoning. I wasn’t ready for it to be over, and now I’m wishing I had reread the series just so I could stay in that world just for a bit longer! I am so ready to see what Marie James comes up with next. 5 stars isn’t enough for this one!
Although there is a big age gap between Hound and Gigi, I didn’t find this too taboo or sleazy. For me it helped that she had been living independently and working, rather than still being a young adult reliant on her parents. Whilst it says MC, this is a group of ex-military guys who work as mercenaries but always on the side of good. They aren’t MC in the true sense of the word and don’t deal in drugs, run guns or live life on the edge of the law.
I liked both main characters and could ‘feel’ their chemistry and connection. Gigi and Hound’s relationship is very sexual and this is one very steamy read. That didn’t bother me, but I would have liked more of the book to be about how they built their relationship after returning to New Mexico. We had a lot of insta-lust prior to this but once they were back at Cerberus HQ I didn’t really feel their relationship deepening. The time line was also a little jumpy and unclear at this point.
However I thoroughly enjoyed the story and was hooked from the first page. I flew through the book and really didn’t want to put it down. I like the author’s writing style, enjoyed the plot twists and didn’t want the book to end. I’m happy to recommend this book.
I had a little trouble with this book at the very beginning, and the first few chapters were hard to get through. It had nothing to do with the author, the story, the writing, or the series. I just didn’t like the personalities of the main characters. I have to say it: I didn’t like Jameson or Gigi to begin with. Jameson seemed to be a heartless mess at the beginning of this story, and Gigi seemed like a spoiled brat, that was just trying to worry her parents. However, the further I read into the book, explanations came about for the way they were acting , and I started looking at the characters from a different angle. The groundwork laid in the beginning was necessary for the story, but was tough to get through because I really wanted to knock some sense into Jameson and Gigi!
After getting through the beginning of this story, it really was great. There were so many emotions throughout, that I found myself laughing one minute, and crying the next. There was so much going on in this story that I found myself intrigued and couldn’t put down my kindle. Between the love story of Jameson and Gigi, the background stories, as well as all of the ongoing action, I never knew what was going to happen next.
Despite the issues I had at the beginning with the characters, this story was well written and the characters were well developed. The story line was interesting, enjoyable, and definitely unpredictable. The best part, I think, is that even though I didn’t like Jameson and Gigi at the beginning, I was rooting for them by the end of the story!
Cerebrus 2.0 is heading in the right direction if the author wants me to love it as much as I did the original series. Seeing Kid, Shadow and others reminded me of the first books I read by Marie James an makes me wish I had time to give the series a re read.
Hound I immediately adored simply for his military history. There’s plenty more to love about him but even if he was a complete prick I’d have a soft spot for him.
He’s a good man, he’s also 14 yrs older than Gigi not that the let that stop them.
He’s the perfect mix of alpha protector and good guy that I love. An Gigi’s mouth, I loved her bickering an snark. She’s stubborn an needs a little reigning in, or a damn good reason to settle, to realize that her life at home isn’t as awful as she makes it seem.
Hound is a great read, it’s a long one but you’ll enjoy the ride.
Can I just start my review by saying based on a hot and steamy factor this book is a 15 out of 10. Hound and Gigi’s story is an age gap romance but it is so much more. He had a job and she was the MC princess whose first instinct was always to run because she felt like she was never good enough. Their story is one that will at times want to make you scream in frustration as these two fight each other along with the people trying to keep them apart. The connection between Hound and Gigi jumps off the pages as it is that electric. Hound is not an easy or conventional love story by any means but their journey will have you bewitched and cheering these two on to realize what they have is more than just an obligation. This latest instalment of Cerberus 2.0 is gritty, action packed, heart-wrenching, erotic and ultimately one of the sweetest love stories in the whole of the original and the second generation series to date. There are some characters in books that own your heart and soul by the end and these two have mine.
4.5 Stars
Hound is the second title in the Cerberus 2.0 second generation. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this title as Gigi’s character really didn’t appeal to me all that much in the previous title, as she was pretty much portrayed as a spoiled brat.
Much to my surprise Georgia (Gigi) has hidden depths, despite her actions she’s quite a vulnerable, insecure and lost young woman and tries to hide it behind a stubborn, feisty, sassy, head strong veneer.
Hound on the other hand is exactly what he seems. He’s an alpha to the core, bossy, sexy, bad-ass, and this former marine is used to being in charge.
The chemistry between Hound and Gigi is off the charts hot, intense, passionate and erotic.
This title is well written, and jam packed full of drama, emotion and angst that will keep you turning the pages and glued to your device.
A journey of self discovery, full of twists and turns that will have you feeling a gamut of emotions from laughter to tears.
I adored the cameo’s of the original Cerberus members and Lawson and Delilah. Once again the strong theme of family, brotherhood and camaraderie came through quite strongly.
I will be eagerly anticipating further titles in the engaging and entertaining series.
If I could give this book more stars I totally would!! I’m obsessed with Marie James writing!! Sparks fly the minute Hound and Gigi’s eyes meet. The sexual tension was thick and hot! Their book had lots of ups and downs. When I meet Gigi in the other 2.0 book I didn’t think I would like her but I really did in this one and really got to know her more. I shed quite a few tears and some laughs and loved the surprise crossover from another book trilogy that I absolutely love!! So if you haven’t picked up a Marie James book before then you really need to get on it!!! Fingers crossed Griffins book is next!!!
