I have my reasons for walking into Chelsea Singer’s cupcake shop with an axe. Too bad I’ve forgotten what they are. Hell, I forgot my own name the second she flashed those blue eyes and offered up a double-fudge cupcake with Irish cream frosting. I may look like a grumpy lumberjack, but I’m a softie for sweets, single moms, and my massive, messy family. The family stuff gets messier now that we’re … gets messier now that we’re running a resort together on our late-father’s ranch, which brings my siblings that much closer to discovering I’m not who they think I am.
As things heat up with Chelsea, I’m falling faster than an old-growth redwood filled with buttercream and lit on fire and then maybe chopped into kindling. It’s a figure of speech, okay?
And it’s damned inconvenient, since it turns out someone wants to hurt Chelsea and her daughter. But they’ll have to get through me first.
And no way in hell will that happen.

Quick and easy read. Whimsical and lighthearted. I only wish my life could work out so easily. I’m glad I spent the time with the characters they were all very nice which doesn’t happen often
Great Book. I like it when you can read from Page one all the way to the end and not get bored. This book did that.
How to convey the many ways this book frustrates me? Well let’s begin with fact that this felt like it was written about teenagers. Where sometimes the lines blurred and I thought the hero was pretty much a girl who handed over his masculinity. I don’t know who I like less. Chelsea is a dog in heat. Mark is a ghost of a man who walks around saying “woe is me”. I cannot mention the many times that both the hero and heroine got turned on when they were talking about cupcakes and dogs. Then there’s the matter that they fall in love within two weeks yet she gets mad he won’t divulge his secrets. Oh and the repetition in this book we get it you have bad taste in men and he may not be the biological son of a late millionaire. We get it you both have insecurities. This book dragged on only to end swiftly with the bad guy being caught to the hero and heroine getting engaged.
Cute story
Great book and kept my attention!
Cute, funny timeline seemed squished….still enjoyed it
Family is family and all the better with good food, delightful cupcakes, a few secrets revealed and a few that should remain in the closet. Just remember, the bigger they are, the harder they fall; lumber jacks (in love),politicians (with scandals), and politicians’ wives (who madly try to remove potential of scandals).
Great read. Really liked the characters.
This book was a good read. I started and finished it in one day and did not get bored the entire time reading it .I enjoyed the suspense of it .
Did not like the male character. Totally unrealistic and kinda whiny.
witty
Fun but predictable.
It was a cute book. I liked that it wasn’t long and drawn out.
Fun and oh so sweet
I love me some Romantic comedy in between my other books, and this author has my kind of humour.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good, fun and sweet dialogues
Hottie Lumberjack is adorable and I enjoyed her descriptions of him and how he didn’t speak much. Still, his character is well described.
The chemistry between the main characters is sizzling hot from the beginning.
5 stars of hotness, sweetness and love!!!
This was a fun Rincon!
Loved it
Characters were stereotypical, plot was predictable, and I felt no real chemistry between the hero and heroine. Plot devices were predictable and overused. I saw what was coming from a mile away
Nice little escape from life
The Ponderosa Resort series is excellent. The characters have secrets and flaws but you just really like them all!!!!
It was a fun, easy read. The characters were likable and endearing.
