Cute story that was more involved than I thought. I really liked the story line and all three brothers. I am definitely reading about the next two brothers. Found this author by accident and I am glad that I did.
Steamy with lots of heart, wonderful characters (except one very bad character) a fast moving plot and witty dialog makes this book hard to put down.
Great read! I enjoyed the devotion between the two characters. At times, Shaw was a little much, but as an author I understood exactly why he was portrayed this way. He’s passionately devoted to Bizzy, and despite his devotion going a little overboard at times, HOTSHOT will leave readers wishing they could have someone as devoted to them. I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.
Wow. Talk about emotional. This book really tugs and pulls the heartstrings. Which kind of makes it seem like it’s longer than it is. The ending is a happy one. I just don’t know if it fit.
I really liked this book. If you like crazy ex drama then you will love this. I liked the close family and the banter between all the characters. This author has a great writing style and I can see my self reading more books in the future. There not a whole lot to say about this book so I’ll leave it at I really liked it and I can’t wait to read about the other brothers. 4 stars #2OCCJD
EXCELLENT READ!
Really enjoyed the plot of the story, plot was unexpected. Title on the cover doesn’t do justice to the story
**4 stars**
I fell in love with Ahren Sanders after reading her book Finn. Like Finn, I loved this book because of her writing. The story was different, but it was good different from my usual reads, so I liked it even more because of that.
Lizabeth, aka Bizzy, is one of my favorite Ahren Sanders characters to date. She hasn’t had it easy, but she takes it all in stride and handles it the best that she can. Being in love with your best friends older brother is one of the many layers that help make up her amazing self. But who she becomes and how she grows to get there is one of my favorite pieces of the story!
Crenshaw, aka Shaw. He is a complex one. BIzzy has been a part of his life since Nick, his younger brother was diagnosed with cancer. Their first meeting was something he will never forget. Fast forward 10 years and he finally wakes up to the person he has been waiting for his entire life to make him better. But it doesn’t come without a fit. I wanted to hit him into about 75% into the book. He has good intentions, but getting there was a struggle. But, I still loved him! Knowing what he wants, he will stop at no measure to achieve that. Getting that desired goal is just slighting problematic at times.
Shaw and Bizzy’s still was different than my usual go to’s, but I loved it all the same. Love overcomes and heals all, but letting it is the struggle.
Loved the characters and their passion, not just between lovers but between friends. They learned from their mistakes and took chances.
Spoiler alert: The couple was sweet, but it would have been better if the conflict hadn’t involved a baby with another woman. I just don’t like those kinds of situations: single parents who were never married and aren’t with the person with whom they have a child.
Loved It
This is one of those stories that you just can’t stop reading. Bizzy met Shaw when he was visiting his brother Nate during his chemo treatments as a teen, she was there also. They became close friends the three brothers and her. Ten years later they are still close and watch out for her. Nate is a NFL player, Mathis is a doctor and Shaw is a lawyer and overseer of process athlete’s. But she has lived him all along. He finally realizes that he loves her more than a friend/sibling. They have a few hurdles to get through first.
No. Just no. This book makes the author a never pick up again.
3.5 stars. A best friends brother romance. Shaw has known Bizzy since she was 14. Bizzy and his baby brother were together having cancer treatment and has been part of their lives since. Their journey to happiness is a real rollercoaster of hope, disappointment, anger, sadness and love.
n Ahren Sanders’ book that doesn’t emotionally tear me apart and then ever so slowly put me back together again, making the heartache worth it in the end because the hero and heroine showed they had what it takes to be together.
But I have to admit that the angst in Hotshot KILLED me; I’m not sure if it’s the mood I’m in with my overactive emotions due to real life issues, but, I didn’t know if I could handle all of the ups and downs of Shaw and Bizzy’s relationship. With that being said – it was an emotional situation and that is definitely conveyed through everything that happens to the couple. Shaw was going to mess up and need time to figure everything out, and Bizzy, due to her past, was going to need to figure out how to react and deal with the string of events that turn her life upside down.
Lizabeth “Bizzy” Hastings is incredibly easy to love; she’s a sassy girl who knows how to hold her own despite all that she’s had to endure since she was young. She loves with every piece of herself, and she gives all of herself to everyone who becomes a member of her family and friends. But there’s also a softer side to Bizzy; a part of her that can be irreparably damaged if care is not taken, and this part of her is exposed and made vulnerable when she finally gets the man she’s always wanted and then has to share him with circumstances that are out of her control.
Readers are definitely going to have issues with Shaw; he makes decisions and acts without much thought, which leads to monumental obstacles for him and Bizzy. But what readers need to remember is that his choices before Bizzy had nothing to do with her, so in terms of what started all of the chaos that is brought into his and Bizzy’s relationship, there isn’t anything to forgive him for because it was done before he pursued his heart. His actions during the maelstrom that Sasha brings into his life with Bizzy will have readers hesitant to forgive him, but Ahren Sanders does a great job of exploring all of Shaw’s fears and concerns through his internal and external dialogue, which is what helped me see past those times when my frustrations towards Shaw made me want to throttle him.
One of the best aspects of Hotshot is the family dynamics between the Bennett brothers and Bizzy. Bizzy’s bond with Nicky is where it all began, and their friendship has grown into something that is everlasting. But all of the brothers share a special bond with her and they all would fight for her in a heartbeat and that idea is clearly shown time and time again as Bizzy has to deal with her past colliding with her present and the fallout of what that means for all of them.
Hotshot is another great read by Ahren Sanders. It’s a story with a whole lot of heart, steam, and drama that is realistically portrayed in order to show the true meaning of love at its many levels, and I’m hoping Sanders will continue with the Bennett brothers because I would love to read Nick’s story!
