Billionaire Bachelors: Book 2
Even though this is the second book in the series, it can totally be read as a stand alone.
Hot Daddy is the story of Jules and Cal, which we meet briefly in book one in this series.
I really enjoy Lila’s books! They are fantastic examples of true romantic comedies, which is my favorite genre. I love to laugh and swoon and sigh and you get all of that and more with this story!
Jules is what every gal wants to be! Successful, smart and takes no crap from anyone! Even if it gets her into a bit of trouble. I love her feistiness!
Cal is the ultimate former playboy and such a swoony hero! The love he has for his god children is beautiful!
Cal and Jules’ chemistry is off the charts! From the time they have met in the past to present day. It makes the story more fun to see that even time can’t slow them down!
I liked seeing past characters, but not in an overbearing way that takes away from the main story, it was like catching up with old friends!
I am so enjoying this series and cannot wait to see Olivia’s story next!
Thank you for your stories Lila!
4.5 Star Review of Hot Daddy (Billionaire Bachelors # 2) by Lila Monroe
After being sexually harassed at work, Jules Robinson needs to find a job and in a hurry. That’s where a mutual friend Olivia comes in; she has a job offer that may well be to good to pass up.
All Jules has to do is pretend to be the fake fiance of Caleb McAdams, a man determined to become the permanent guardian of his god-children. Shouldn’t be too difficult or complicated. Right? Not at all.
When Jules arrives at the court house, she is shocked when she recognises Cal as the one night stand she had in Vegas three years ago and even more astonishing is that he remembers her well.
Despite both Cal and Jules being determined to keep the relationship purely professionally it soon become obvious that the sizzling chemistry they had in Vegas still burns bright between them and in fact has intensified over the year.
Hot Daddy is a great read full of love, sadness, hope and humour. The banter between Cal and Jules and Cal as well as with the children had me in stitches. Cal is most assuredly a swoon worthy, hot alpha male determined to get what he wants and do right by the children he has been entrusted with.
This was a great read full of great moments that really brought a smile to my face and one that I really didn’t want to put down.
What will happen when the children’s biological aunt decides to fight dirty for custody? Will she succeed, or will the children have the opportunity to voice their opinions? Will Cal and Jules be able to fight their attraction, or will it all be in vain? One click now and find out.
Hot Daddy by Lila Monroe is the second book in her Billionaire Bachelors series of standalone romantic comedies. I really enjoyed the premise of this book. The story flows nicely, and it is perfectly paced. It is told from the dual perspective of the main characters, Jules and Cal.
From their first meeting, their chemistry is off the charts. The easy banter is fantastically fun. The dialogue felt genuine, and I bought every word. Fast forward three years and their paths cross again. The memories of their sizzling one-night stand bubble to the surface and create a bit of awkwardness in their current work arrangement. The secondary characters are great additions to the story; Cal’s young charges are delicious, and their manipulative aunt provides some interesting plot twists.
While I loved these two characters and their chemistry, the swearing and numerous sex scenes put me off a bit given the context of Jules and Cal’s work arrangement. In general, I really enjoy Ms. Monroe’s writing style. I adored her portrayal of the playboy who easily morphs into a loving, attentive “uncle”. All in all, a fun, light rom-com with adorable kids, a great couple, and an interesting story line.
Hot Daddy is the second book in her brand new, smoking hot Billionaire Bachelors series. The story of Cal & Jules is a little bit second chance romance and a whole lot of fake relationship. The story is told in dual POV, is well-paced and well-written. Filled with humor, sexiness, angst, and emotion this book was engaging and amazing.
Cal McAdams needs a fiancée STAT! He has to look like he is capable of taking care of his God Children, He was given custody of them in their parents will but their aunt who previously was never in the picture is ready to battle out the custody arrangements. Never mind that the children are happiest and taken better care of with Cal. Cue the fake Fiancée.
Jules Robinson took protecting her feminine virtue too far apparently when she knocked the bosses son unconscious after he whipped his member out in front of her in the office. Now she is a talented lawyer with NO job and no prospects based on the lack of return calls on her applications. When the call come sin to meet with Olivia, she thinks she is going in to offer legal advise to Olivia, NOT become one of her employees. With the money too good to turn down, she really doesn’t expect her new fake fiancé to be the memorable one night stand from Vegas! Cue the swoon!
Loved it! Enjoy!
Cal is a billionaire who needs a fake fiancé to secure custody of his godchildren Ezra and Lottie. Jules is an out of work lawyer that needs to pay the bills. Jules is hired to play Cal’s doting fiancé. When she shows up to the court hearing, she realizes that he was her hot one night stand three years ago in Las Vegas. Of course, this is supposed to be a business relationship only, but they cannot fight their attraction. What I liked, Cal, Jules and the kids. What I didn’t like/annoyed me; the swearing in front of or around the kids (I don’t mind swearing in general), and the antagonist was a little too much of a caricature (ala Cruella DeVille). Overall a cute fun read.
Jules needs a job to pay for this thing called life. After getting let go from her job, she is presented with a job she just can’t refuse. A pretend finance for a man trying to gain custody of his godchildren. Little does Jules know that she already knows this man, intimately.
Cal is in desperate need of a fake fiance to show that he’s cleaned up his act and is capable of becoming a family with the custody of his two godchildren who lost their parents tragically. In walks Jules, the unforgettable one night stand from a few years back to play pretend with him. However, their chemistry is still undeniable and destiny has plans for their future.
This is my first Lila Monroe book and I am definitely a fan! I was completely engrossed in the story from the first page. I loved Cal and Jules banter, chemistry, the kids, hell, I loved everything about this book!! Hot Daddy is the perfect blend of sexy, funny and swoon worthy moments that left me wanting more!
Hot Daddy is a flirty, fun, and emotional quick read!
I’m really loving this new series by Lila Monroe. Like the previous book, Hot Daddy brings you the story of two people thrust into an unconventional fake relationship due to unique circumstances. But what sets this book apart is the characters surprising history together.
The author’s memorable and creative writing is once again on superior display. The character development and charisma are provocative and highly entertaining. Sparks fly from the pages, and the quick glimpse into the characters’ past as to HOW they truly know each other showcases the arousing and fiery chemistry that smolders just beneath the surface of the storyline. But it’s the tenderness and affection written into each character’s persona that captivates the story with beautiful moments of happiness and devotion.
Passionate, heartwarming, and full of laughs, Hot Daddy is a definite must read!
What a week Jules is having. She lost her job with no prospects in sight, is in need of a roommate and finds herself standing face to face with the one man she never thought to see again. Pretending to be his devoted fiance. She’s in over her head and it could end up costing her, her heart. Lila Monroe keeps it sexy while making it cute. Hot Daddy has enough naughtiness to keep me tempted and hits on the right emotions to have me craving more.
Fake relationship stories are always intriguing reads because even if the connection is supposed to be an act, real feelings can’t help but come into play and complicate the heck out of the arrangement, and with the hero and heroine of Lila Monroe’s newest release, Hot Daddy, a plutonic business transaction gets further complicated because a few years ago, they hooked up for one wild night in Vegas and that sexual attraction still sizzles between them.
Cal McAdams would definitely be considered a DILF, but it’s his playboy bachelor behavior that leads him to ‘hire’ a fiancee, so he’ll have a better chance of being granted custody of his two godchildren, Lottie and Ezra. What Cal never anticipated, though, was that he would intimately know the woman the agency hire to play his fiancee, making a complex situation even more so, not only for Cal and Jules, but also for the two kids who have already lost their parents and now might lose the person who unconditionally loves them and wants to take care of them always.
Hot Daddy focuses on the ten days that Cal has in order to prove to the judge, to the kids, to Jules, and to himself that he can provide a stable and loving home for his godchildren, putting them first and concentrating on their wants and needs over his own. And, in that timeframe not only does Cal have to prove himself but he and Jules need to figure out if it would be wise to act on their desire for each other and what that would mean not only to Cal’s case but also to Jules’ heart.
Cal and Jules’ story is a quick and steamy read that provides readers with insight into Cal and Jules’ Vegas night as well as the ever growing attraction and chemistry that won’t be denied in the present. But there’s so much at stake for Cal and the kids, not only because of the Lottie and Ezra’s aunt vying for full custody, but also because Cal’s lifestyle change is abrupt, which means he’s still adjusting with juggling his demanding career and ensuring his godchildren are happy and taken care of, and while it’s clear Cal loves Lottie and Ezra, what’s a bit unclear is if becoming a full-time dad, basically overnight, is something he can achieve with out without Jules in his life.
4 Poison Apples
She needs to find a job fast, or she’s gonna lose her apartment.
He needs a fake fiancee fast or he’s gonna lose his godchildren.
Weeks after being fired due to an infraction at her workplace, New York attorney, Jules Robinson is in desperate need of a new job. She’d had no offers, and is losing hope of keeping her apartment, until a friend of a friend calls and tells her of an opening. It’s not quite what Jules was expecting, but beggars can’t be choosers, so she throws caution to the wind and agrees. Within hours, she’s in a courthouse in Boston ready to meet the man who will be her pretend lover for the next ten days. She has no idea what he looks like or how she’ll feel about him once they set eyes on each other.
But, Jules is in for a surprise.
Caleb McAdams is a former Formula 1 race car driver. He is the quintessential poster boy for the position, or at least he was. But, now he runs a business and times have changed.
Cal was devastated when he heard of the sudden death of his two best friends, Mel and Rob, four months ago. He was out of the country at the time and was even more crushed, when he lost temporary custody of their two children, Lottie, ten and Ezra, seven. He’d sworn to protect these kids and raise them as his own, if anything should happen. Never expecting that it would. But, then Mel’s older sister Vivian steps in and takes over. Now he’s got a fight on his hands and his reputation as a womanizer isn’t going to make the judge feel compelled to hand the kids over.
He needs help.
Fast.
When he meets his new bride to be in the hallway of the courthouse, he’s not prepared for who it turns out to be.
A one night stand from three years ago is about to be tested to its limits.
Jules was madly attracted to Cal from the second she set eyes on him during a spur of a moment vacation in Vegas. He’d saved her ass then, and now it was her turn to reciprocate, even if it meant burying her lustful desires. This was business nothing more, nothing less.
Cal hadn’t forgotten the blonde beauty who’d rocked his world, three years earlier and is dumbstruck with his luck at being given another chance with Jules. It might have started off as a business arrangement, but as the days pass, he’s getting closer and closer to the real deal.
Cal was fun, sexy, and just a little bit wild. He was a great replacement father and it was clear he adore Lottie and Ez. He and Jules had amazing chemistry too, it burned off the pages, their banter was witty and sexy, it made me laugh and made me hot.
Jules was sassy and straightforward, she didn’t let anyone tell her what to do. I loved her as much as I did Cal. If you’re looking for a hot, sexy, DILF romance, then this is the one for you. I couldn’t put it down and hated reaching the end.
