Sarah Garland is now happily married to Conrad. Her life is peaceful and all of her nightmares are far behind her. At least that’s the way it seems. When Sarah’s best friend Amanda arrives and announces that she’s going to buy a hot springs resort—well, a couple of hot springs and a few log cabins—Sarah is thrust into an unknown nightmare filled with deadly monsters. But at first, she simply … agrees to go with her friend to buy the resort, not knowing what darkness awaits.
When Sarah and Amanda arrive at the hot spring resort they immediately encounter trouble. First, they meet a hungry grizzly bear and then they find a dead body. Matters turn worse when a strange woman appears and begins spinning a frightening tale that involves Sarah and Amanda being infected with an invisible virus. Terrified and desperate to leave, Sarah and Amanda find themselves trapped between life and death. Forced to fight for their lives the two women enter a battlefield filled with broken pieces of sharp glass.
And just when the two friends believe matters couldn’t get any worse, a wounded ex-husband arrives followed by a line of killers. Will Sarah and Amanda survive the virus they are infected with or will they become victim to a horrible plot filled with an unimaginable evil? With time running out they begin running for answers.

Amanda has dreams of buying a hot springs resort and has talked Sarah into taking a trip there to look it over and possibly sign ownership paperwork. Once they arrive however, things are not quiet and gloom sets in.
Coming upon a dead body, the owner of the resort, Sarah and Amanda are left with questions. Who would want this man dead? Where is his wife?
After looking around, it seems there is more to meets the eye in who this owner really was. Can they solve the murder and figure out what is going on?
Of course the premise (once you get there in the story) is a bit far fetched but that’s kind of the fun with some of these. As always, I love the friendship between Sarah and Amanda, and the way they have each other’s back. Another fun-filled cozy read.
Wendy Meadows writes another cozy that is delightfully entertaining. The characters she draws are sharp. The community she describes comes to life on the book’s pages. And everything turns out well. A good book to while away the dark days of winter..

A wonderfully written twisted murder mystery. Its full of lots of intriguing twists and turns and shock me scenarios and mind boggling plots. With believable characters and just people that were crazy. Incredible suspense that lasts thru to the last page is turned. Excellent edge of your seat mystery.

I’ve only read a couple books in this series and I’m sorry I have missed out on them. This was one twisted murder mystery.
Amanda talks Sarah into checking out and being co-owner of a hot springs resort in the mountains. When they are almost there, besides having a run in with a bear, Amanda senses something is wrong. The owner and his lawyer are suppose to meet them but what they find is a body. Then it gets worse when they are being stalked and they’re means of leaving is taken out.
They thought they were past all the bad stuff that has happened to them but sadly they were wrong.
This was an edge of your seat mystery. These two ladies together are stronger and totally have each other’s back.
I loved every page of reading this book. I rooted for them every step of the way.
I voluntarily agreed to review this book. My review is my own honest opinion.
This was another fabulous mystery in this series. Sarah and Amanda have a knack for walking right into the middle of trouble. They thought they were going to have an reat day and ended up in the middle of the deadly mess. Quick thinking and strong resolve from both Sarah and Amanda proved to foil the plot of the troubled individual who set them up. Highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery.

Hot Springs Murder by Wendy Meadows is a wonderul story to read. I loved reading this story cause I love reading about mysteries and this is one of the good ones to read. This is book number eight in the series and I am so glad I really read this story.

So without telling the story as too many reviewers do (the author actually tells it better), I will say this story was completely different than what I expected and it was very engaging once the background to the main characters was given. There were a few references to previous interactions (previous books I believe) that only made me wish I had read them first (because that’s how I am) but not necessary. This story was engaging and I kept thinking how scary the thought was of these events in the story actually happening.

This is a wonderful series. The previous books about Sarah and Conrad were totally enchanting. This story follows the same characters as the previous book. This book has a well-crafted plot and kept me reading late into the night to find out what was going to happen next. Amanda and Sarah have quite an adventure while trying to find the perfect cabin hideaway. Amanda dreams of turning the cabins into a lovely resort but she did not know murder would put a wrench in her plans. This is a very addictive series. Sarah has settled down in Alaska and enjoyed some peaceful times but evil lurks even in the most beautiful areas. Cannot wait for the next book.
Terrorists in Alaska
This is a cozy mystery set in the wilds of Alaska. The plot is well thought out tale of international terrorism, weapons of mass destruction and crazy people. The characters are believable. This is the eighth book in a series and the first that I have read. It stands alone quite well. I received this book for free and this is my honest review.
Hot Springs Murder is a cosy mystery that will keep you entertained. It is a bit crazy and far fetched with lots of twists and turns. Sarah and Amanda get much more than expected when they consider buying the Hot Springs resort. A hungry bear, crazy doctor or unidentified virus anyone? Although this is book eight in this great series Hot Springs Murder is also a good stand alone book that will appeal to all cosy mystery fans.

All that Amanda wanted was a little piece of heaven and thought that purchasing the Hot Springs resort would give her the peace and tranquility she is looking for. She ropes her best friend Sarah into seeing the resort (with hopes that she will help run it) and the ladies find themselves stranded with a deadly virus and a psycho doctor. Can they find a cure for the virus and get away from the evil that is lurking?
This book is filled with madcap adventure, suspense, danger, lots of twists and turns, and even a big hungry bear. The characters are fully developed and the storyline is rich with details. This is the eighth book in the series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone without difficulty. However, you will enjoy it so much, that you will want to pick up to read books 1-7.

This Alaska cozy was such a pleasure to read. I love cozies because they are always a change for me from reading my regencies and western romance. Love the bear on the cover! Sarah and Amanda are in the thick of things again. This book has a murder and mystery virus and it is a great who done it too. Conrad is great and you will love that the suspense lasts till the end of the book. I love being kept in the dark till the end!! Wendy Meadows mysteries are always such works of art you just keep coming back for more. If you like cozies this is one you will not go wrong with. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
a retired cop turned author supports her bestie by going along to view a property bestie thinks should be a joint project for them.
instead of pastoral quaint and remote, they get weaponized virus, questions about counter viruses and treatments, and a whole lot of fear and crazy.
thinking like problem solving friends, they can make it back to their loved ones, together, but first they have to survive the crazy.
fast paced adventure and family saga
