Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum and Trenton vice cop Joe Morelli join forces to find the madman killer who shot and barbecued the youngest son of international black-market arms dealer Alexander Ramos. Carlos Manoso, street name Ranger, is caught on video just minutes before the crime occurs. He’s at the scene, he’s with the victim, and he’s the number-one suspect. Ranger is former special forces … forces turned soldier of fortune. He has a blue-chip stock portfolio and no known address. He moves in mysterious circles. He’s Stephanie’s mentor–the man who taught her everything she knows about fugitive apprehension. And he’s more than her friend.
Now he’s the hunted and Stephanie’s the hunter, and it’s time for her to test her skills against the master. But if she does catch him…what then? Can she bring herself to turn him in?
Plus there are other things keeping Stephanie awake at night. Her maternal grandmother has set up housekeeping in Stephanie’s apartment, a homicidal maniac has selected Stephanie as his next victim, her love life is in the toilet, she’s adopted a dog with an eating disorder, and she can’t button the top snap on her Levi’s.
Experience the world of Plum–in Janet Evanovich’s new thriller. It’s surreal, it’s frenetic, it’s incendiary. Hot Six. It’s the best yet.

When I want to just take a break for a bit Janet books are where I go.
Had me laughing out loud
Funny and entertaining. Love it!
Couldn’t put this down. Author never disappoints.
I read it many years ago. I read up till book 14. Loved all of the books
A great book to read on vacation. The pages turn themselves.
Super fun great story
All of the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovitch are wonderful reads. They can be scary and then you are suddenly laughing out loud. I read every one of them – some more than once.
Fun
i LOVED IT!
Stephanie Plum along with Grandma Mazur and Lula get into more trouble in the sixth novel of this series. She has more bounty hunting jobs with disastrous results. She refuses to take a job picking up Ranger, who is wanted by the police for questioning in murder. It is impossible to describe the laugh out loud scenes in this book.
Stephanie cracks me up. If anything can happen, it will happen to her. In Hot Six she is bounty hunter extraordinaire. She is determined to get her man – mostly without the gun in her cookie jar. She is responsible for some run of the mill characters who sometimes assist, but mostly get in the way of her purpose in life–AND there’s a toss up …
I’ve read all of Janet’s books and love them.
love these books
Loved it! I have read the whole series.
It was a great story, but full of foul language that wasn’t necessary to the story
3+ out of 5 stars for Hot Six, the sixth book in the “Stephanie Plum” cozy mystery series, written in 2000 by Janet Evanovich. I’ve had some bad days before. I’ve even done some things I am not exactly proud of. But one thing I’ve never done… set someone on fire. Who does that? And what do you do to get revenge on the fire-starter? Maybe Drew …
I am living vicariously through Stephanie and she better NOT marry Joe! He’s a user and I really don’t think he’s marriage material. I really like this series its packed with action, characters of all kinds and let’s face it Stephanie really stinks as a bounty hunter but she’s hilarious to read about
EXCELLENT READING!!!
Finished this book a
long time ago. This is really old. I like all her series but i am up to the 20s in this series. Always a fun read though
