He believes in fate… why I blurt out to my meddlesome, matchmaking grandmother that Alejandra is my date for her fast approaching and highly choreographed eightieth birthday party.
She’s been on pause…
Some decisions are harder than others, but agreeing to a date with Drew isn’t one of them. He’s a charming and gorgeous curveball I didn’t see coming, but the more time we spend together, the harder it is to remember to play it safe. I’ve made a promise, and even though I’m now torn: I have to honor it in order to move on from the past. Drew feels like my future, but I’m about to put everything I want in jeopardy.

Cute story.
This is my first read from this series, but it’s a good one. Only thing is I felt there was a little distraction that wasn’t necessary and didn’t really add to the story. I was expecting it to lead somewhere and it didn’t.
But overall I liked Drew and Alejandra’s story. It’s easy to understand her devotion to first love, Matthew, but boy it almost cost her TLOHL!!
There was steam, flirty banter, and the love of family. This was an entertaining and quick read. The Senior Center characters were a hoot along with Grandmother Rosemary.
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
What a fun story.
This time we have Drew and Alejandra, they had an almost-something months ago, and by fate they meet again in the lobby of his hotel. Because his matchmaking grandma is also there, he pretends he and Alejandra are together so grandma stops meddling, lol.
I really loved Alejandra, she was such a sweetheart, but had some strong fierceness when it came to fight for what was right. I loved her work with senior citizens and how much of her heart she gave them.
Drew was a cool dude, he just knew things would work out; but he was also hardworking when he needed to be. I loved the side he showed for his grandma, and later in the book, for his family. He was awesome.
I really liked this book, although it sucks it’s the last in the series. 🙁 I guess I’ll just have to wait for more from Ms. Bielman. 😉
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
Loved this book and series. Drew and Alejandra were worth the wait. A perfect couple with plenty of fun and sexy times. Adding in the angst and banter will have you laughing out loud. But it was Rosemary, Drew’s grandma who stole the show. I wish we all had a grandma like that. I just hope I’m still having fun at that time. It proves family is so important. I highly recommend this story along with the rest of the series.
I totally fell in love with Drew and Alejandra’s story. There were so many twists and turns that I never saw coming – that always makes me respect the author. I’m usually pretty good at predicting the way romance stories are going to play out; but not this time. Each page kept me guessing. This couple were put through so much before they finally got their happy ending. I think that’s what made me appreciate their story and, in my mind, what made their happy ending all the more sweeter. I am so glad I had the chance to read this story.
Third book in the series. Drew and Alejandra’s story was entertaining. It’s spicy hot and funny at times- that Grandma Rosemary is a hoot. Drew decides to swear off women for a while but meets Alejandra. Their characters are wonderful together as friends and more. Really enjoyed! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from Tule Publishing.
I believe that things happen when we least expect them and that’s the case with Drew and Alejandra. This sweet slow-burn second chance at love was enjoyable and sexy all at the same time. Plus you got to love a know-it-all grandmother thrown in the mix.
This might have been only my second read by this author, but I can definitely say that you need to read this series. You will get catch-up in Robin’s writing and never want the book to end.
Steamy, heartwarming and laugh out loud funny all rolled into one highly enjoyable read! With the third book in her delectable American Royalty series Robin Bielman delights her reader with a tempting story. The story line nabbed my attention immediately, the characters are down-to-earth and delightful and the passion is off the charts. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more!
I adored Drew’s relationship with his feisty grandmother! The youngest Auprince has met his match with the one that got away. Drew was drawn to a woman in a bar one night and was hoping for a steamy hook-up, but when she slipped away into the night, he was left wistful for months to come … until he sees her across the lobby of his hotel months later!
Alejandra was emotionally torn throughout the book with her past, her present and her future, and it brought a wistful touch to her. Even though she was falling hard, she held true to herself, her beliefs and her promises. I really enjoyed her story.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a passion filled journey towards that beloved happily ever after with a lot of laughs, heartfelt feelings and temptation along the way.
Alejandra and Drew are what you might say, fated to be together. From their first meeting, down to the very last page of their epilogue, it was obvious they were meant for each other. And I loved every single page of their story. It’s fun, sweet and laugh out loud funny, especially when Drew’s grandma is on the scene! I haven’t read any of the other stories in this series, but you can bet I will be downloading them now.
This fantastic book is third in the American Royalty series and it features Drew and Alejandra. WOW! This book has it all! The highs and lows, great friendships and great loves, family, humor and some fabulous sexy times. Alejandra has just broken up with her longtime boyfriend as he is moving out of the country for one year. They decided they would meet in one year and if they didn’t find anyone else in that year, they’d get back together. It’s during that year that she meets Drew. Drew has been burned, BAD, in the past. Just as he decides to swear off all women for a while, he meets Alejandra. Their friendship is great but their romance is so much better.
The story line is amazing! I love how the characters are a mix of every day, middle class people and the wealthy. I also love seeing characters from previous books. Rosemary is a hoot! This author continues to WOW me with her brilliant writing ability. I’m looking forward to the next book!
This was a lovely story!
“I’ve wanted to kiss you since that night, and if the opportunity presents itself, I’m going to take it.”
One night, Alejandra meets Drew in a bar. She can’t take her eyes off him. Unfortunately, she has to leave before they really get a chance to get to know one another. Nine months later, she meets him again. And, this time, he’s not letting her out of his sight. Unfortunately, she’s not quite ready to get involved with him. She made a promise to someone special that she aims to keep, but Drew ticks all the boxes, which makes it hard to keep him at arm’s length. And, let’s not forget the electric connection between them.
“My blood is on fire. My head is in the clouds. My feelings are magnified. She is everything pure in this world.”
Drew Auprince is part of a famous hotelier family. He’s been stung by love before and is wary of letting anyone in. However, Alejandra caught his eye months earlier and, now that she’s appeared in his life again, he’s planning to keep her there. Unfortunately, she’s not falling at his feet like women normally do, so he’s got his work cut out for him. He play the patience game – as long as they are moving forward.
“He feels like home and an adventure. He gives me wings and a safety net.”
This was a such a lovely story about two lovely people. Alejandra is independent, caring and loyal. I loved her dedication to her job and her determination to make things work. She’s generally a goody-two-shoes but Drew and the feelings he evokes in her pushes her out of her comfort. Drew is downright gorgeous! I loved his respect for Alejandra and how he leaves her room to grow. I loved his desire and passion for her – they were sizzling together. I adored how well they understood one another. This was a great closing chapter to the Auprince family story. It was fab seeing all his family one last time!
Brilliant and witty ending to a wonderful series.
Hot Shot is the third and sadly, the book in the ‘American Royalty’ series by Robin Bielman. I loved the previous two books, Heart Throb and Sweet Talker which featured Drew AuPrince’s older brothers, Finn and Ethan as they met their matches in Chloe and Pascale.
Now, it’s Drew’s turn in the spotlight. He’s quite the charmer, sweet and light-hearted, but from the moment he laid eyes on Alejandra Cruz he was a goner. Unfortunately, their moment was missed.
Allie had a boyfriend and thought he was ‘the one’. Then he dropped a bombshell and asked for them to break up for a year as he was going abroad for work. It wasn’t what she was expecting and she could only accept it.
Nine months later, she is in unknowingly Drew’s hotel and they met again. Drew isn’t going to let her get away again, and with the help of his Grandmother, he gets his wish.
A few other fateful turns of events and he’s hosting Allie as his house guest. It’s like serendipity and he’s not letting this opportunity to get closer to pass him by. Try as she might, Allie can’t deny her feelings or the chemistry that electrifies the room each time he’s with there.
Allie has to decide who and what she wants before it’s too late.
Time is ticking and soon she’ll be all out of it.
I loved this couple and their almost drama-free relationship. It was fun catching up with the other two couples as well, and Grandma Rosemary was a laugh.
Arc review 4
This book, Hot Shot…. And Drew and Alejandra….
God bless, where should I start and what should I even say? Like thats how I feel. I practically feel speechless.
In the blurb Alejandra said: ”But Im about to put everything I want in jeopardy.” Well…. basically this book made me do that at the moment, when I jumped into reading this.
Let’s start with Drew and my my.. I have a new crush, he took my heart with storm and god he’s eye candy, like this unique, strong and brave man found his calm, his puzzle Alejandra.
And Alejandra was stubborn, young and beautiful, she was about to jeopardize everything and that she did because of him, her love for him way big and I see why because how couldn’t it be??
This book was amazing, it was steamy, it was cute, it did me mushy and all happy. I really recommend this book!!

HOT SHOT is the third and final instalment in Robin Bielman’s contemporary, adult AMERICAN ROYALTY erotic, romance series focusing on the Auprince siblings. This is hotelier Drew Auprince , and nursing home entertainment coordinator Alejandra Cruz’ story line. HOT SHOT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Alejandra and Drew) HOT SHOT follows the building relationship between hotelier Drew Auprince, and Alejandra Cruz. With the approach of his grandmother’s eightieth birthday Drew Auprince finds himself in need of a plus one when he comes face to face with his almost one night stand from months earlier, the woman who has starred in all of his fantasies and dreams. Hoping to avoid his grandmother’s matchmaking, Drew introduces Alejandra as his girlfriend in an effort avoid the inevitable awkward date. But all does not go according to plan when Alejandra finds herself in need of a place to stay when a broken water pipe makes her apartment unlovable. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Alejandra and Drew, and the potential fall-out as Alejandra’s past returns hoping for a second chance.
Alejandra’s apartment is undergoing repairs but she never expected to move in with Drew Auprince, the heir to the Auprince Holdings and Hotels. Alejandra wasn’t completely honest about her most recent relationship, a relationship that was temporarily on hold. Drew Auprince had been burned in the past but is hoping Alejandra is the woman that calls to his heart. With his grandmother’s birthday celebration only days away, Drew is blindsided when Alejandra backs out, breaking his heart.
The relationship between Alejandra and Drew is one of immediate attraction; a ‘fake’ girlfriend arrangement to appease Drew’s aging grandmother, a woman who is much more savvy and aware than anyone knew. Drew finds himself falling for the woman that has stolen his heart but Alejandra waivers between the present and the past. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
All of the Auprince siblings play secondary and supporting characters including Drew’s brothers Finn (Chloe), and Ethan ( Pascale), and their grandmother Rosemary, as well as Alejandra’s sister Gabriela, and Drew’s best friend West.
HOT SHOT is a story of family, friendships, secrets and love. The premise is entertaining and engaging; the romance is seductive; the characters are colorful and energetic. HOT SHOT is a captivating final instalment in Robin Bielman’s American Royalty series.
Gah!!! This is my favorite of the American Royalty series. Drew is everything!!!
I loved how him and Alejandra met. And met again. I loved the chemistry between them, and that neither could deny it. And while Alejandra made me a little angry on occasion, I can understand where she was coming from. She’s a good person.
As with any Robin Bielman book, the story is sweet and sexy with minimal drama and filled with amazing characters. I think Grandma Rosemary needs her own book. She’s so awesome!
Another fabulous read from Robin Bielman. And while this can be read as a standalone, I’d highly recommend reading the other two books in this series also, because they are all so good.
I received this arc in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book so much!! I’ve read the whole series now and it’s one of my favorites. Robin’s a wonderful author. This book features the youngest Auprince brother, Drew who owns a new luxury hotel in Santa Monica. We learn that 9 months earlier he met a woman in a bar that caught his attention but she left without exchanging information. Alejandra was out celebrating her birthday with her twin sister and friends and met Drew. She was on a year break with her boyfriend of 8 years. He took a job in New Zealand and broke up with her to meet on 7/12 one year later to see if they still want to be together. She had to leave but was interested in Drew.
Drew and Alejandra meet again in his restaurant and he tells his grandmother that she is his date to her big 80th birthday party. Drew is enchanted with Al and he tries to date her. Alejandra is hesitant because of the looming date with her ex, Matthew. Her family’s home suffers water damage and she moves in to Drew’s suite at the hotel after many protests. The two have separate rooms but spend time together learning about each other. They start dating. We see how Al struggles with guilt over her relationship with Drew, she isn’t sure the right choice. Does she go back to Matthew if he’s still available or does she let him go and stay with Drew. Drew knows about Matthew and worries how to keep Al for himself. We see character growth in both as they grow so close and fall in love with each other. Neither admits their feelings to the other and we don’t know what Alejandra will choose.
There is still interaction between the brothers and Rosemary, Drew’s grandmother. Rosemary likes Alejandra too and keeps in contact with her. I enjoyed each of the brothers stories and am glad Robin included updates on their lives. I also liked how Rosemary played havoc with her grandsons’ love lives and had chats with the ladies. The storyline about Alejandra’s job being in jeopardy because the senior home she worked at risked losing funding was also very interesting.
I’m a member of the Illinois book club with the Marilyn Brant mentioned in this book and I was so excited to find the reference.
I highly recommend this book and the whole series. I give it 5 stars.
This is my first read in this series and by this author but I had no trouble with the book even though it is a family series Ut was a total stand alone
Drew Auprince is the only family to go into the families Hotel business but his plan has always been to open his own hotel and smash the glass ceiling of the family business and he has achieved that with his hotel The Surfeit. He loves life to the full and never hesitates over anything Then he meets Alejandra Cruz in a bar and she really knocks him off his game, but when he excuses himself to take a call she leaves Alejandra is a director for an aged care facility and actually gets in better with the over 70ls than her own age group she has also recently respelled her boyfriend of seven years so he can find himself overseas and see if they are meant to be together for forever she intends to be faithful while he is gone. When a flood in her apartment leads her to his hotel and them reconnecting all bets are off he is determined that she will be is and even tells his grandmother that she will attend her 80th birthday party with him now he just has to convince Alejandra.
I usually enjoy reading about everyday people not billionaires necessarily. Yet I loved this series so much that the American Royalty has sealed Robin Bielman a place in my favorite authors category forever. Hot Shot is book three in the series that has the youngest brother, Drew Auprince with Alejandra Cruz. Each book has made the fictional Auprince family near and dear to my heart.
The great characters are fully developed having unforgettable chemistry. Then the story kept me turning pages fast as I could read them, which is what I usually do with a suspense book not a contemporary romance one. I found that I just couldn’t get enough of these characters.
Now I can’t help but want to be cool Grandmother Rosemary as I grow older! (Should I start practicing my selfie now?) Positively a scene stealer every time she is around but also a grandmother who has great wisdom and love for her family, along with a clever mind. Surely there are some other grandchildren off somewhere who need her matchmaking. More please.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I really wanted to #binge read this series before this book released but I just didn’t have the time, and it doesn’t matter because I love every single moment of this book , binge or no binge LOL
Before I say anything about the writing and story and all that, let’s take a moment an appreciate this cover …. …. …. this guy on this cover, laughing and looking like he is loving life, is exactly how I felt thru this entire book! It is a magical cover people. It literally describes the storyline! Color me impressed.
Okay, abut this book … Well, I can tell you I don’t read enough Robin Bielman books.

Sidenote: I am really looking forward to re-reading this book when I #bingeread the series. I just loved everything about it!!
I loved the Auprince men,so handsome and down to earth personalities I might be a little biased but Me.Bellman is one of my favorite romantic authors.
