He’s a Navy SEAL. She’s his sister’s annoying best friend . . . and now she’s missing. In Tijuana. And he has to find her. During his leave. F*ck.Navy SEAL Zachary Browne made it back from Yemen to find a squatter living in his house—his sister’s best friend who is now an apparently homeless and very possibly insane, sexy AF interior designer.Gabby claims Amanda hired her to redecorate his place … hired her to redecorate his place as a surprise. His sister should know the two things Zach hates more than surprises is change and people touching his stuff. But Gabrielle Lee Interiors & More has done all that—and more.
Zach survived Houthi rebels, but he might not survive these two women.
When Gabby goes missing—in Tijuana of all places—he has to go find her. But things can get a little wild south of the border—and not just from the chemistry they’ve been trying to ignore for more than a decade.
What happens in Tijuana . . . might just kill you.

The narration was good. The narrator managed to make the book more humorous. The different inflections in his voice did the trick. I am not sure if I would have found any humor by just reading it.
Gabby’s inner dialogue sounded the same to me at 18 as it did at 30. She seemed incredibly naive. I did not feel any chemistry between Zach and Gabby at any point in the book.
I wasn’t sure what the whole Tijuana truck incident was meant to do. Nothing I was expecting to happen did happen. The exception being there was no surprise when Zach checked the back of the truck. There seemed to be so much potential for something interesting to happen, especially considering the beginning of the book. I was expecting a romantic suspense, and I am honestly no sure if I ended up with a romance or romantic comedy.
I would give it 2.5 stars. I feel like the book took an abrupt turn after Tijuana and became a different story.
When Zach visits his sister in college and overheard her roommate talking about the frat party they r going to he’s furious! Who is this girl trying to get his innocent sister into trouble. He hates her immediately. Yes later he comes home from leave to find his house has been robbed and someone is in his shower! He’s stunned to find out it’s Gabby his sisters troublesome roommate! When she explains his sister hired her to redo the house he inherited from his grandma his temper is not soothed. When he discovers from his sister that Gabbie went to Tijuana and hasn’t returned on time he’s furious all over again. This book was a funny romance drama. The action is non stop from the brother who is a Seal, to Amanda the crazy sister to, Gabby , his sisters disaster seeking friend. I really enjoyed this book!

Easy to read and entertaining story. I lived Gabby’s creativity and desire to bring life back to old objects! Amanda has to be one of the best BFF’s ever, with all her behind the scene machinations she helps Gabby’s dream come true.
Wow what a great book it captivated me from the start and held my attention till the last words. Author did such a great job of having well developed characters that had plenty of chemistry and twists to make for a great storyline.

This is the story of Zach and Gabby relationship.
It has a great plot that has you smiling quite a bit but still
has action just a touch of drama. The chemistry between Zach and Gabby
is well developed and very believable.

Zach and Abby have history together she his his sister best friend they met a college and ten years later they are still best friends . The scene where they first meet when he is in the shower and she is talking about the hot navy Seal she has just seen will have you rolling with laughter especially when it is repeated in reverse 10 years later They have never really gotten n he thinks that she is a bad influence and she thinks that he is grumpy and self-riotous When Gabby gets herself into trouble trying to save money buying tiles from Mexico for her interior decorating business it will be up to Zach go to and bring her home with a little help from his team mates Another fun read from the very talented Cat Johnson and I can’t wait to read the rest f the teams stories
From annoying friend of his little sister, Gabby finds a place in Zach’s heat but not in her plans for her life. This is a hort read with lots of action, great world building and background into the characters to really get you invested in the story.. I loved it and plan to read much more.

Gabby’s best friend is Amanda and they have been friends for years. Zach is Amanda’s older brother and Gabby has had a crush on him forever. But Zach has a terible opinion of Gabby from way back when she and Amanda were roomates in college. He thought Gabby was a very bad influence on his sister. Over the years, his opinion didn’t change at all on the few occasions they had met. Zach is a Seal and while overseas on a mission, Amanda decides that his house needs redecorating. He inherited it from his grandmother and had made no changes at all. Gabby is the renovator and really doesn’t think Zach will approve but Amanda will not take no for an answer. Sparks fly. And a romance blooms. What a terrific story and I loved it.
Gabby has been crushing on her best friend Amanda’s brother Zach since their first semester in college. Years later Zach is a Seal and she is a struggling interior decorator. Amanda has a capital idea to help her bestie and update the house Zach inherited from his grandmother. Gabby is in kind of a hot mess when she goes to Tijuana to save some money on a customer’s Reno. He comes to her rescue and to keep her safe from the Mexican mob. Nicely written and a very entertaining and fun read with eureka moments.

Zach and Gabby were meant for each other. It just took Zach a while to figure it out. Cute and sexy story showing Zach as an active Seal and Gabby as a up cycle designer. The characters were portrayed very well as strong and dynamic individuals. Good read!

Nice book, good story. Well worth your time.
I enjoyed Gabby and Zack’s story. We are taken through 10 years of their lives. Well snippets of it anyway but it is enough to give the reader a taste of their personality and mindset. She is a fun loving girl with a flair for interior design and he is a Navy Seal with pecks that makes her knees buckle. Their introduction starts when she walks in on him in the shower at the age of 18 and 10 years later we pick up the story when he does the same at his own house. Gabby’s best friend is Zack’s sister Amanda, who hires Gabby to redecorate Zack’s house. Gabby annoys the living daylights out of him, or so he thinks. The girl has a serious case of trash to treasure syndrome, she is recycling personified. All the characters are well developed and we get a good glimpse into Seal Ops. Those guys are brave. Zack follows Gaby into Tijuana across the border when he believes Gabby to be in danger and their totally unexpected adventure begins. The book is not just about budding love and two people’s realisation what they mean for each other. It is also witty, centering around the importance of family, of honouring someone’s memory, the value of friends and making a real effort to become self sufficient. It is a well written book with only 3 typos in the entire book. Well done with the editing. It is a page-turning romance with leads to a nice HEA in more ways than one.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
O’ Lawd! Man, talk about hard hitting. Cat rocks to her on beat bringing this little gem home beautifully keeping you in a tail spin on a razors edge. A whirlwind of unexpected circumstances and surprising mishaps launch all those swirling emotions blazing to life wonderfully. Cat pulls us into her imagination weaving a world around us thightly until everything ceases to exist. Struggling through a battlefield of trials and tribulations trying to put things back on track and coming up empty. Twists and turns, along with a few bumps and bruises catapult this bad boy to life beautifully. All the drama, angst and suspense bring this baby together smoothly. The characters are authentic, relatable and so realistic you feel like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphically detailed you have no trouble picturing each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Amazing job Cat, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
This book is fantastic and brilliantly written! The storyline is amazing, witty, funny, intriguing, and engaging; the scenes are detailed and descriptive it was very easy to picture myself there watching it unfold. The drama, ups and downs, and the beautiful ending make for a really enjoyable read. Loveable characters – their chemistry is powerful, undeniable, intense, and off the charts hot. A really engaging read that will grip you from beginning to end. Definitely recommended.

Awesome contemporary military romance. The characters are fun and interesting. Ms. Johnson developed both the characters and storyline so that it’s easy to follow and draws the reader in. The blurb gives a tidbit of information about what to expect. Yet there is intrigue, suspense, humor as well as a hot SEAL to add hot romance. I received a complementary copy of this book via Booksprout and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Johnson.
This story has a lot of interesting parts. Funny, tricky patrols and rescue with Zachs seal team. Then the mess in tiajuana. Gabby and Zach was as different as they come. The bad guys are trying to recapture Gabby and Zach’s team is trying to get her out of the country. Lots of action and the unkown.
My First Cat Johnson, But Not My Last!
Best friend’s brother
Grumpy but sexy Navy Seal
Spunk heroine
A hilarious meet cute
A touch of suspense
Hot Seal, Tijuana Nights is my first Cat Johnson and I was not disappointed! An adversaries to lovers story that spans more than a decade but also has great pacing and some really fun moments. I loved the added touch of suspense, both with his mission and her trip to Tijuana, as well as the mentions of characters from her other Seal books, which didn’t feel at all heavy or make me feel like I was missing something.
I will definitely be catching up on the Seals in Paradise series and can’t wait for the next one.
I received a complimentary review copy of this book but all opinions are my own.
This book had all the elements I love to read! First off, it’s written by Cat Johnson and her books never disappoint! Also, the story had a Navy SEAL, and he was hot!! The story grabbed me in from the beginning, and it was hard to put it down when I had to!!
In college, Gabby and Amanda were roommates as well as best friends! That’s Zach’s first encounter with Gabby! Unfortunately, he had to see her through the years and he tried to avoid her at all cost! Fast forward ten years, and he’s returning from a tour of duty and looking forward to his two weeks off. However, when he goes home, something is wrong. Gabby has moved into his house! Oh heck no!
As much as Zach doesn’t want to be around Gabby, when Amanda tells him Gabby went to Tijuana and hadn’t returned and she was afraid, Zach heads there to try and find her! This could be one dangerous mission that could go sour pretty quick if the cartel is involved. Definitely not how he planned on spending his time off.
Great story! Loved Zach and Gabby’s fight to avoid feelings that apparently have been there for a while!
