One of the queens of romantic suspense has proven herself a queen of romance with Hot SEAL, Roman Nights. This novel is Teresa J. Reasor’s contribution to the A SEAL in Paradise multi-author series. Ms. Reasor once again creates characters who reach out to readers and linger in our minds. Second-chance novels are not an automatic read for me, but any book by Ms. Reasor is. This one is a another winner.
The depth of the love that remains with Tony and Darcy demands a second-chance, but tension, anger, time, and distance create barriers that cannot always be breached. The pain and tough times Tony and Darcy have endured since their last parting have surely won them the opportunity to see whether they have the strength to start again. Apparently, fate agrees with me because she throws them together in one of those what-are-the-odds situations that really do happen all the time. Fate has given them the opportunity; it is up to them to decide if they can get past those obstacles.
Hot Seal, Roman Nights:WOW! Perfect love story! Loved the surprises and the heat. Great characters and hot reconnection of love and understanding. Loved the romantic setting of Italy. It was great writing.
Fate is an interesting word but definitely describes Tony Gallo and Darcy Moreau who see each other again on a plane both headed to Rome, Darcy for a wedding and Tony for a family trip. These two haven’t seen each other in years and both have feelings good and bad and questions that need to be resolved. I really loved watching these two get a second chance and re-connect and resolve hurt feelings from the past and in Darcy’s case, help her finally say goodbye to her brother with Tony’s help. The other part I really liked about this book was the families, from Tony’s family to her friend’s fiance’s family, really loved spending time with all of them especially Nonna. This author really set the scene with Rome as the setting and it felt like you were right there with everyone visiting the sights. Can’t wait for the next book.
I’m a big fan of this authors books and was excited to hear she was writing within this series. Tony and Darcy had a tumultuous past and a chance encounter when they were both visiting Rome was fortuitous. Circumstances and a tragedy made them separate when they were younger, but 10 yrs has passed and it’s time to write the wrongs that life dealt them. Not only did We fall in love with these characters but we got to experience all the beauty Rome has to offer as they tour the ancient city. This was a beautiful love story with a backdrop of culture and family. Great book.
Tony is on his way to Rome to celebrate his parents 35th anniversary with his whole family. On the plane he helps out a young mother with a hellacious little boy and spies someone he hasn’t seen since she walked away nine years ago.
Darcy is heading to Rome to be her best friend’s maid of honor. A wedding she helped plan. The last person she expected to see was Tony, but she really wasn’t upset to see him only regretful for the way things played out.
What ensues is a fun-filled adventure through Italy. With lots of characters from both the bride’s family and Tony’s.
I loved Nona, she is the best grandmother ever. Even she knew Darcy and Tony belong together. All they have to do is get passed the reasons she walked away.
I laughed, cried, envisioned the scenery and Tony and Darcy totally steam up the pages.
I can’t wait to read more in this multi-author series.
