We’re back in the Hot SEALs world! And this time we get to hear more from Rick and Sierra! You might want to read book #5 before reading this one – PROTECTED BY A SEAL – it’s the book where Sierra and Rick meet and fall for each other! IT’S ON SALE RIGHT NOW!!!
Ok, back to this book. Sierra and Rick could be living their happily ever after lives right now. And they kind of are. BUT – it’s not really all that easy. Sierra is still a famous Hollywood actress who is on set all day and Rick is her bodyguard and boyfriend. A slightly jealous boyfriend, who has to watch her roll around naked on a bed with a hot young actor all day long! Not easy for our darling SEAL!
There might be some misunderstandings and interesting developments and we might need the help of a couple of more SEALs until we can finally ride off into our happily ever after sunset with Rick and Sierra!
Will there be a HEA for our two darlings???
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!
LOL!… that was adorable! And funny and sexy and SEALy.
I just love those SEAL stories!
Rick is so uncomfortable on that set – watching Sierra and Jamey pretend to have sex. Adorable!
I looooved Jamey, once we got to know him – he’s sooo sweet – such an adorable SEAL fanboy! And the best thing?? He’ll get his own book – Hero for Hire – soon! YES!
HOT SEAL IN HOLLYWOOD was the perfect addition to this already amazing SEAL series! Funny, exciting, adorable, a little bit sad here and there. I loved it!
A former SEAL is now bodyguard to his girlfriend who is an actress in Hollywood. That is not easy for the Hero because she has a lot of scenes that annoys him with other male actors. His possessive part comes up and he hits the guy she is filming with. Can he make it good again?
A story that is hot and steamy, but quite simple. It has not got a lot going on apart from the Hollywood thing. Enjoyable to read.
Rick’s jealousy of Sierra may cost her the delay of the movie. Punching the leading man was something he shouldn’t have done. Can he salvage the delay of the movie with the help from his Navy Seal brothers? Did he lose Sierra because of his anger and jealous behavior?
John Posvistak narration is very good. I enjoyed listening to this story

When Sierra formerly know as Casy goes to Hollywood with her ex seal boyfriend/ bodyguard thinks get complicated! He doesn’t like watching his woman do love scenes with other men even if he knows it as fake as Hollywood itself. It’s just part of her being an actress and her job. I enjoyed this book. It had conflict, romance and action. I recommend this book

This is a beautiful love story. Where there is love, comes jealousy, self-doubt, and passion. The colorful characters bring life to the story and the surge of various emotions make you invested and wanting more. Great love story.

Sierra/Carey and Rick’s story is a well-written story that I enjoyed reading from the first page. The story has jealousy, misunderstandings, and romance, a good augmentation to the other stories in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Rick isn’t loving watching his actress girlfriend film love scenes with her new leading man. Of course he’s not, because what man would enjoy watching his woman with another man, even if it’s not real? One misunderstood conversation later and Rick is punching Sierra’s costar, and the possibility of killing the entire movie is significant. So Rick does what a retired SEAL would do, and ropes his team into helping him execute his plan of saving the filming. Will Sierra ever forgive Rick for possibly ruining her career? Will Rick ever be able to curb his jealousy and be supportive of her career?
I have to admit this story didn’t do much for me. I didn’t feel any kind of connection with either character or with the story. While I vaguely liked Rick, he wasn’t exactly the kind of SEAL I normally enjoy reading about, and I absolutely couldn’t stand Sierra. She was ridiculous and honestly I thought Rick could have done a lot better than to take her back. Or if he did insist on taking her back, he should have made her grovel A LOT! So, although not terrible or anything, I’m afraid I can’t rate this one more than 3 stars.
Another hot SEAL to the rescue.
This was a great love story with some comedy thrown in. Cat Johnson does not disappoint.
The book is well written with all the romance and drama that comes with falling in love with a SEAL.

Hot SEAL in Hollywood is Hot, Romantic and Yum!
Cat Johnson delivers a drool worthy book about Rick and Sierra/Carey. Rick gave up his life on the East Coast to be with the woman he loves – the catch she’s an actress and he isn’t copping well with the love scenes. When things go off the boards Rick swallows his pride and helps get the film on track but as Sierra see Rick with all thing SEALs she thinks it’s time to let him go and be him.
Will love prevail?
Easy read great book and Series!
Rick was a Navy SEAL and the assignments he’s been on during his career as a SEAL paled in comparison to his current job of being a bodyguard to his actress girlfriend, Sierra. It should be a piece of cake, right? However, when he has to watch his girlfriend do love scenes naked with a “pretty boy” actor, it takes everything he’s got not to pummel the guy.
He has been pushed to him limit and can’t take anymore, so he punches Jamey. Oh boy, the trouble that’s gonna cause with production since “pretty boy” now has a nice bruise!
This was a great love story! I’d say it was kinda reality? If you’re looking for a hot book this one is, but if you looking for a story with alot action, this one did not. I was so in love with Rick, even though he was acting like a cave man for a while!! The chemistry between him and Sierra was off the chart. Can he fix the giant screw up he did by hitting Jamey?
I totally enjoyed this story. Rick is a retired SEAL working as a bodyguard for his girlfriend actress Sierra Cox. Rick has a hard time handling the love scenes between Sierra and her co-star Jamey. Rick misunderstands an overheard phone call and punches Jamey in the face in a jealous rage. He then gets his SEAL buddies to help him make retribution to the director and Jamey. Sierra thinks Rick is unhappy in Hollywood and breaks up with him. After some good intentioned meddling by Jamey, Rick and Sierra get back together for their HEA.

After two years together Rick still has a hard time seeing his girlfriend in scenes with another man, she is his and only his. But doubts creep in and a misunderstanding paves the way for doubts on Sierra’s side as well. Not a huge action story but it does provide a bit more for Rick and Sierra from an earlier book. Its not a totally sweet love story, has a bit of action, arguing with great make up scenes. I voluntarily read a copy through Booksprout and still enjoyed the book. I did read right through my attention didn’t waiver.
The ultimate alpha male, Rick cannot stand it when the love of his life is curled up in bed with her leading man on the set of a movie studio. Giving in to his baser instincts, Rick almost derails the filming process and if it weren’t for the forgiving nature of the actor Jamey, Rick would never have come up with a highly successful plan with the help of his SEAL teammates. Despite his best efforts however, Sierra finds herself having to reconsider the wisdom of an ongoing relationship with Rick. This is a delightful book and Cat Johnson does not disappoint. The book is well written with all the romance and drama that comes with falling in love with a SEAL. I received a copy of this book through Booksprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Rick & Sierra are back in Hollywood for her most recent movie, a romance with a SEAL. This book was filled with action, steam, excitement and adult angst! Rick has a jealous streak when it comes to Sierra’s costar. Which lands him in hot water when he does something out of character. Now he is trying to save the film that he has stalled, bringing in Jon & Zane to help & calling in some favors with the Navy. What unfolds here is a beautiful story of love & letting someone go, because you think it’s a good idea, even if it tears both of you up inside. I loved the extension to Rick & Sierra’s story! Check this book out today!
I’ve read a lot of books about Navy Seals but this one didn’t measure up to the type of these books I read. Actress and Seal. Slow and didn’t keep my interest but finished and reviewed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
One of the things I’ve liked about this series is that the original stories end with an HFN, which I find more realistic. I really like that we were able to revisit Rick and Sierra/Carrie’s relationship and to hear about the HEA’s for the other couples that have developed over the series. I think it would be even cooler to have the earlier characters feature more prominently in the later books than they did in the first five so that it develops more of the story for all of them over time. I’ve listened to the first five Hot SEALs books, including Rick and Sierra getting together in #5, and then I jumped ahead to this one (#15), so it’s possible the characters overlapped more in books 6-14. Hot SEAL in Hollywood could be read as a stand alone, but I think I enjoyed it more after having listened to the first five in the series.
Although I do love revisiting existing characters, I don’t love when assumptions break characters up. I was a little disappointed in the communication between Rick and Sierra, and then the ending wrapped up relatively suddenly. There were also some references to BUD/S training in this book that I only understood because I’ve read Suzanne Brockmann’s Troubleshooter series. If I hadn’t read that series, I would have appreciated more details on the training Rick alludes to (sugar cookies for example, or even when he just describes BUD/S as wet, cold and sandy).
I listened to the Audible version. This was my first time listening to Sean Posvistak and he did a fabulous job bringing energy and emotion to his performance. I didn’t always love the voices and he sounded a little young for the characters at times, however the excellent delivery overshadowed anything remotely negative and left me with a really positive impression for the narration. I wouldn’t hesitate to listen to him again.
