“Sweet and sexy with a delicious side of hot and dirty. Kendall Ryan pens another swoon worthy hockey hero who will undoubtedly melt your heart. – Helena Hunting New York Times bestselling author ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recovering from a pulled groin muscle isn’t exactly how I planned to spend my much-needed summer vacation. But being nursed back to health by my gorgeous friend Bailey, who’s just graduated from … Bailey, who’s just graduated from medical school, doesn’t exactly sound like a hardship.
We spend a week together at my family’s beach house, a week of swimming and barbecues, a week of entertaining my little cousins and sleeping right across the hall from each other. A week of watching Bailey grow closer with my mom and sisters, and my wacky but lovable grandma. A week of enjoying Bailey tending to me—which is saying something, because it involves a lot of shoving ice packs into my underwear and taping up sore muscles.
She’s funny and kind, and after just being myself for the first time in a long time, I find my walls come tumbling down. But when Bailey says she’s not looking for a relationship, I’m bound and determined to be more than just the fun hookup who sprained his groin a second time—this time with her.
Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all-new standalone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!
(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)

Talk about funny friend to lovers story. Asher always had a thing for Bailey and unbeknownst to him so did she. She volunteered to be his “nurse” even though she was a doctor when he went to his family reunion. He’s a professional hockey player and was recovering from an injury. Boy did I enjoy this one especially with Asher’s grandmother. This was beautiful and it was total opposites at times with what they wanted but they were meant to be together. Throw in Asher’s family, his teammates and Bailey’s friends it’s never a dull moment.
Cute friends to lovers book! I so enjoyed Asher & Bailey’s story. His family was the sweetest! Loving these characters & this series.
I love Kendall Ryan books! Crossing the line had me falling for Asher more and more. If you are new to the Hot Jocks series, that is okay. Each book can be read as a stand alone! But why would you want to miss out on these “Hot Jocks”.
I adored Bailey. She has brass and a heart of gold. When she goes with Asher to a family event, it was all sparks and no boundaries. I love Grandma Lolli! She was amazing and Asher’s whole family loved to meddle.
I smiled and fell in love with first love. Bailey may be small, but she is mighty. I loved her no nonsense with Ashe and he was puddy in her hands. Crossing the Line is funny, sassy, and action packed behind closed doors if you know what I mean! I hardly put this book down and loved every moment of it!!
Crossing the Line in book 4 in the Hot jocks series. I have read the previous 3 books but they can all be read as standalones. This one is Asher’s story. Asher is sexy hockey player. He is definielty swoon worthy. He’s out with an injury and takes the time to go visit his family. In order to go visit his family he has to take a nurse with him. Bailey has finished college and about to start her residency. She’s forced on her residency and not looking for a relationship. Bailey and Asher have mutual friends. They are friendly with each other and she offers to be his nurse for his trip. I loved Bailey. She fits seamlessly in with Asher and his family. They have great chemistry. I was so rooting for them after they got back from the vacation.
I swear to all that is holy I love everything this woman writes!!! And I have been waiting on Asher’s book it seems like forever but it really hasn’t been. And how I so wasn’t disappointed at all!!! I was a little surprised at some things about him tho but it was all very good things. And I fell even harder for him reading his book. And Bailey was his equal in every way and I’m glad they both finally saw that. I love her too. I love her strength and her compassion. Oh and let me tell you I absolutely loved Lolli and everything about his family!!! And I so want to be a part of it!!! I swear Kendall’s books are so wonderful and I wish I could give them so much more than 5 stars because they are just so much more than words can describe. And the only way to really get the whole feeling of these books is to read them. And I will finish one of her books in one sitting, like I will not put it down until I have completed it. So I highly highly recommend this book and any other book she has written!!! – By Tina
When Asher met Bailey he knew she was special, the kind of girl his playboy self should probably stay away from. She’s the kind of girl you promise forever too, and he is no where near ready for that. When she volunteers to accompany him, as his nurse, on his summer trip home he knows it’s going to be tough to maintain their “just friends” status, but he’s willing to give it a try.
But then his sexy little nurse throws him for a loop when she makes her move, he had no idea that she felt that way about him. She tells him that she knows he’s not into relationships, and she is too busy for them anyhow, so she suggests a week of fun. But when the week comes to an end, Asher finds himself wanting more…
In Crossing the Line readers will meet two endearing characters who are about to take their friendship to a whole new level, one that neither of them saw coming, but once they get a taste of it they can’t seem to let go. Watching Bailey and Asher fight their attraction for one another and fail was thoroughly entertaining. It was evident these two belonged with one another, and boy was it fun to watch them figure that out. I really enjoyed this newest installment in the Hot Jocks series, it was a lighthearted romantic romp that brought many feels and swoons, and kept me captivated from the first page until the last! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Fast paced, steamy and simply adorable! With book four in her Hot Jocks series, Kendall Ryan delights her readers with yet another of her sexy jocks in CROSSING THE LINE.
Asher is a fun-loving joy of a character to read. He’s sweet with just the right amount of cockiness to keep a grin on your face at his antics.
Bailey is a little harder to read. She likes him even before she agrees to be his medical presence on his trip home, but she also knows she needs to buckle down as she becomes a doctor. Good times help make her decision!
I missed the heavier hockey spin since he was out injured in this book, but it was still a fun read and I enjoyed it a lot. Looking forward to more to come in the series!
Ryan walks a fine line between heartwarming and heartstopper. She takes the term “heartbreaker” quite serious and it reveals itself in the captivating, unpredictable heroes that she dreams up. For Bailey and Asher love is a risque business that blurs lines all over the place. Crossing the Line prides itself on being obvious, but succeeds in sneaking up on the heart. From laugh out loud to seductively tempting, Ryan makes hearts swoon with this bad boy in training.
“Sometimes the best things are right under our noses. It just takes some time to find them.” ~ Bailey
Ashur has the reputation of getting and doing what he wants on and off the ice. When Bailey volunteers to travel home with him as his medical resource, she never expected to see a different side of Asher. Add in physical proximity and sparks begin to fly. Asher’s family is endearing form his grandma to his baby niece and Bailey is welcomed into the fold. Both lead busy lives and must decide if there is room for a relationship in the mix.
This is my second book read in the series and I am enjoying every minute of it. I consumed this book. The characters pop off the pages making you want to be their best friend in real life.
Asher and Bailey are hands down my favorite couple when it comes the Hot Jocks series. I LOVED everything about the two of them from their friendship, relationship and the banter between the two of them.
Asher is nursing some injuries and wants to go home to visit his family, only downside is that he needs a doctor with him to travel. Enter Bailey. She has some time before she starts her residency and volunteers for the job. She gets a vacation and to spend time with her friend. Asher is the playboy image, however, there is so much more to him. He loves his family and he loves hockey. Bailey is hardworking. She loves her career and with being in med school didn’t have much time to do anything else.
Asher and Bailey had so much chemistry. It was bursting off the pages. They had so many sweet moments throughout the story but their relationship also doesn’t lack in passion. Their interactions were sweet and funny, too. I just couldn’t get enough of Asher and Bailey.
Asher’s family was a blast. From his parents, to his sisters, to his nieces but his grandmother Lollie stole the show. She is hilarious and everything you love about a grandmother.
Crossing the Line is a MUST READ and if you love friends to lovers sports romances or even just feel good romances this is one that I’d highly recommend. Kendall Ryan knocked it out of the park.
I know whenever I pick up a Kendall Ryan book I am in for a great story and this book did not disappoint. I absolutely loved both Asher and Bailey. They were great by themselves and fantastic as a couple. I loved that they started out as friends who hung out just because of the group of friends that they had in common. Yet when Bailey offers to help Asher out with a medical issue he has this is when they both realize that they have an attraction to each other. And it is an attraction that is hard for them to ignore, even in a house full of loud crazy relatives.
This series has been absolutely wonderful, every time I think I found my book boyfriend I read the next book and I have a new one. Each book is as good as the last and I can’t pick a favorite. So with that I say I can’t wait for the next one!
What a great book this was. It had the perfect amount of sweet and romance. Asher and Bailey’s crossing these line is a friends to lovers romance. They’ve been friends for a little while, both not looking for a relationship, too busy with work and med school. Asher needs a medical assistance to go home for a week after he sprains his groin and gets a bad concussion and Bailey offers to be his “nurse” for the week after just competing med school.
Watching these 2 fall for each other was amazing. I think Asher is my favourite hot jock now, sorry Justin. He’s got an amazing tender side you don’t often see in the hero’s of romance and you can’t help but fall in love with him. Ovaries explode several times reading this book. I’m still swooning over this ridiculously sexy man (the detail of his body is explained in detail in this book)
This is a must read book and a definite 5 plus star read. It’s light and easy to read and you’ll do lots of swooning.
Here we are another hot jocks books and boy they just keep getting better.
Asher is swoony, charming, sexy as hell and cheeky as sin.
Bailey is sweet, tough and strong willed.
They are the cutest couple and so much chemistry.
I loved reading their story.
It was fun, sweet, hot and so much fun banter between Asher and Bailey.
I love these hockey players. Asher injured and Dr. Bailey going with him to take care of him??? Sigh I love that these players turn into swoon worthy leading men with their ladies. This one also had his family falling for her, and Bailey needed them too. I loved that Asher didn’t second guess himself. This series is definitely one of my favorite.
A slow burn! An injury, family visits with a side of humor made for a fun and sweet read!! Really heartwarming!!
“Crossing the Line” Book 4 of Kendall Ryan’s Hot Jocks Series is all kinds of hockey romance goodness. I absolutely loved reading Asher and Bailey’s love story. How can you not love a sexy hockey playing hunk who falls hard for the girl he’s been crushing on, going after her full throttle? Asher wants her so bad that not even a groin injury sidelines his plans to bed her and keep her. Bailey is sweet, sexy, sassy and smart and just about to start her residency. She’s not looking for a relationship because of her hectic schedule but she can’t resist the sexiness that is Asher. Their chemistry is hotter than hot and you just want them to give in to it over and over and over again. And.they.do.and.it’s.fantastic. TBR this great book and if you haven’t read the other books in the series then you should definitely add those to your list too. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
I’m loving this series, and book 4, Crossing the Line, covers one of my favourite tropes, friends to lovers, so yes, this story was a win win for me. When newly qualified doctor, Bailey agrees to go to her best friend Asher’s family home for a bit of R&R, whilst ensuring he’s nursed back to health following a concussion and groin injury, they have trouble trying to not, cross that line. They are definitely more hot and sweaty, rather than calm and relaxed, and they possibly do more harm than good to Asher’s groin, if you know what I mean. A wonderful story, Asher and Bailey are perfect for each other, no lies, no pretending with each other, no denying their lusts and wants. Asher’s family are adorable, funny, and sweet, I just adore his grandma. A light easy read to get completely lost in. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
Crossing the Line is the fourth book in Kendall Ryan’s Hot Jocks series and while this is part of a series, all of the books can be read as stand alone’s. With that said, you should consider reading them all because this is one fun group of “hot jocks”!
Asher is recovering from both a concussion and a groin strain that he got in one of the teams latest games. Bailey is just about to enter her residency to finish up her studies to become a doctor. Asher and Bailey are part of the same friend group and have spent plenty of time together, but not a whole lot of one-on-one time, however that is about to change.
Asher has a family reunion that he’d like to attend, but the team says he has to take a nurse and he is not about to take a stranger to his grandma’s house. When Bailey offers to go, she figures she can help take care of her friend and also get a free trip to sunny California.
What ends up unfolding in California is super entertaining. Not only are Asher and Bailey fighting the feelings they are beginning to have for one another, but Asher’s grandma, mom and sisters are also getting in on trying to get the two together. Asher is absolutely awesome. He’s sweet, attentive, and not to mention swoonworthy as all get out. Bailey gets to see a different side of him as he spends time with his little nieces. Bailey is not only smart, determined and intelligent, but she’s also falling in love with Asher’s family!
The question is, once the week is over and they go back to “real life” will they be a couple or was this just a quick vacation hook-up?
I loved this book and how it all played out. It was a so fun to have all of Asher’s family be such a part of the story and his grandma and her special juice made me smile. Do yourself a favor and pick up this really entertaining tale!
Sweet, smart, and sexy!
Crossing the Line is a lighthearted, comical tale that takes us into the lives of the kindhearted, intelligent Bailey and the charming, determined Asher as they both discover just how powerful temptation, attraction, and chemistry can truly be.
The writing is smooth and witty. The characters are friendly, flirty, and amusing. And the plot is an alluring, spicy tale filled with familial drama, playful banter, sizzling tension, awkward moments, hilarious hijinks, sporty references, and blossoming romance.
Overall, Crossing the Line is a highly entertaining, delectable indulgence by Ryan that is another wonderful addition to what is ultimately turning out to be an absolutely fantastic Hot Jocks series.

So what happens when you are secretly attracted to your friend, but don’t know if you should cross that line?? Well Crossing the Line by Kendall Ryan is the story that answers that question!!!
I never fail to say this in my reviews, but when it’s true, I just have to repeat it. I LOVE Kendall Ryan books. Her stories always make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. She gives us the prefect mix of romance, steam, drama, feelings and even humor. I truly LOVED Crossing the Line. I really loved the storyline and the chemistry between Asher and Bailey was, yes off the charts, but also what every person wants in a friendship.
Crossing the line is the fourth book in Kendall’s Hot Jocks Series. This is a series of interconnected standalone novels. Based around a Seattle hockey team. Each book is a standalone and I don’t think this series has to be read in order. I have fallen in love with Kendall’s hockey studs. This series is a great series for the sports romance reader. I think it is perfectly balanced between romance and hockey. This book is told in Dual POV. I thought the flow and pace of the story was great.
In this book we follow the story of Asher and Bailey. Asher is a hockey player on the Seattle hockey team. He has been known to be a player on and off the ice. But as of recently, he has been sidelined because of injury. Having nothing to do with himself, he wants to go to his family reunion, but the only way he can do that is to bring a medical professional with him. He is against this idea…..that is until his friend Bailey offers to go with him. Bailey and Asher have been friends for a couple of years. Bailey is just out of Medical school and has some time off before starting her residency. So she offers to go as the medical professional when Asher mentions it. What could happen between two friends, when you mix a week alone at the beach, a crazy family, and some fun in the sun?? What happens when these two cross that line?? Will they get their HEA?? or will it ruin their friendship?? Read this fun and entertaining story to find out.
This is a quick read, but it lacks for nothing. We get the laughs, the feels and emotion we have come to expect from Kendall Ryan. I loved that we got to see all the players and the previous couples in this book. I also loved meeting and getting to know Asher’s family….they were amazing!!! I look forward to the other books in this series and seeing where all these players end up.
If you are a fan of Kendall Ryan books, you NEED to read this story. If you haven’t started on this journey of Kendall’s books yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, this would be the perfect place to start. Trust me, once you pick up your first Kendall Ryan book you will be hooked. This book/series is also perfect for the fans of sports romances. Kendall really knows how to write a great sports romance novel!!!
