“Sweet and sexy with a delicious side of hot and dirty. Kendall Ryan pens another swoon worthy hockey hero who will undoubtedly melt your heart. – Helena Hunting New York Times bestselling author ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recovering from a pulled groin muscle isn’t exactly how I planned to spend my much-needed summer vacation. But being nursed back to health by my gorgeous friend Bailey, who’s just graduated from … Bailey, who’s just graduated from medical school, doesn’t exactly sound like a hardship.
We spend a week together at my family’s beach house, a week of swimming and barbecues, a week of entertaining my little cousins and sleeping right across the hall from each other. A week of watching Bailey grow closer with my mom and sisters, and my wacky but lovable grandma. A week of enjoying Bailey tending to me—which is saying something, because it involves a lot of shoving ice packs into my underwear and taping up sore muscles.
She’s funny and kind, and after just being myself for the first time in a long time, I find my walls come tumbling down. But when Bailey says she’s not looking for a relationship, I’m bound and determined to be more than just the fun hookup who sprained his groin a second time—this time with her.
Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all-new standalone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!
(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)

This series started off with a bang and each book makes me fall more in love with these characters. This story centers around Asher the “hot jock” who ended up with a pulled groin muscle, as well as a concussion and Bailey the sexy, smart soon-to-be doctor who volunteers to “nurse” him back to health. The relationship that builds between these two friends is nothing short of sweet perfection. Asher is the bad boy on the ice and the sweet affectionate man off, especially when spending that time surrounded by his family especially his grandmother. Bailey is adamant she’s not looking for a serious relationship, has no time for it until she realizes she may want so much more with Asher. What happens when two friends have one steamy hookup? What happens when they realize they want more from each other but not sure how to ask one another for that chance? Guess you’ll have to one-click this amazing read!
I am loving Kendall Ryan’s Hot Jocks series so much! Each book has been fresh, fun, original and sexy, and I can’t get enough of these hockey players and their feisty women! The friends-to-lovers trope is a favorite of mine, and Ryan has been combining that theme in these hockey romances with tremendous success.
Asher is sidelined with a few injuries while the rest of the team heads into the playoffs. He wants to head home for a family reunion, but the team requires that a nurse travel with him to oversee his care. In steps recent medical school graduate and his friend, Bailey, who after four years of medical school and on the cusp of starting her residency, could really use a vacation. Heading to southern California to hole up at Asher’s family’s beach house sounds good to her.
I loved Asher and Bailey – their chemistry, their banter – but it was the way that their flirty friendship caught fire that kept me tapping my Kindle. Asher and Bailey’s romance was sweet, swoony and seriously steamy, and I devoured it in a single sitting. Five smooches from me for Crossing the Lines by Kendall Ryan!

Oh I am so loving this series by Kendall Ryan!! If you are looking for a fun, swoony and steamy sports romance, look no further!
This is the quick-paced story of Asher and Bailey.
Asher is the tough center of the Ice Hawks hockey team. He plays hard and goes strong until he gets what he wants.
Bailey is the friend, she is going places and has big, bright future ahead of her.
When Asher and Bailey spend a week together, sparks fly!
I love how underneath the tough exterior Asher is a big softie, he embraces his feelings and doesn’t apologize for showing them. I also admire how he understands that Bailey doesn’t need him to complete her. He wants to be her dessert!
The world that Ms. Ryan has created is fresh, funny and full of heart and heat!! I cannot wait for the next story in this series!! Landon & Aubree are gonna be epic!
it was amazing
They are friends, there is no time for a relationship Wash, rinse repeat.
This is what Asher and Bailey keep repeating because neither one want’s a relationship die to their busy careers.
But then a family reunion is Southern California seems to have changed things for this couple.
This story was so cute and hilarious. Asher and Bailey were perfect for one another. And other than minor miscommunication about what they want long term. No crazy angst. Loved the fact that they both wanted more but until they spent more time together didn’t know what they were missing out on. Landon interrupting was hilarious. Loved ashes family. So funny and cute.
sweet romance. the ending was a bit flat, but overall, a happy, cute story
Brilliant.
Asher has picked up an injury and needs to recuperate,so decides to go and see his family but needs someone to chaperone him so they can tend to his injury while he is away.
Bailey is just the woman. He has been crushing on her for a long time she is part of the circle of friends they are both a part of.After just grauating from medical school she is the perfect choice to take with him while he goes home to his family.
Bailey jumps at the chance for a trip to California and to nurse her friend Asher back to health, but as they are away and she gets to meet his crazy family and take care of his injury, they both seem to start looking at one another in an entirely different light.
This is another sexy, steamy compulsive story,it was hard to put down and it was a delight to read.
It is an Amazing book and I couldn’t get enough.
5 wonderful Stars.
Hot Jocks Book #4 Yhis time up is Asher and Bailey. Asher (Hawks Hockey) and Bailey (soon to be Dr.) Asher is on the injured list with a groin pull and Bailey is about to start her Residency. Asher wants to go home and celebrate his grandma Lolli’s birthday but per team orders he needs a traveling nurse. Enter Bailey with two weeks before she starts her Residency. She volunteered for the job. We the lines blur when they spend time together?
I have read all the Hot Jock Books, anxiously awaiting last book in series, already preordered, it’s due out in June. If you love sports romance this series is a MUST!!! Kendall Ryan is one of my top 10 favorite authors.
Bailey has just finished medical school and is about to begin her residency but she has taken two weeks off to relax. When Asher mentions that the team doctor won’t let him go home for a family reunion in San Diego without a nurse, Bailey volunteers. What better way to spend her break than in sunny San Diego and how hard can it be to play nurse to her super hot and sexy friend Asher? Nursing his concussion and groin injury shouldn’t be hard at all . . . .
I enjoyed their story. It was fun and sweet and was really easy to read. I loved how well they got along and how easily Bailey fit into Asher’s family and how quickly they accepted her as part of the family. Even before Bailey and Asher were willing to admit that she was. This was a light and fun read that I enjoyed. It didn’t sing to me but I liked it and would recommend it to others.
Asher a pro hockey player is injured and needs a nurse to go with him to California for a family
reunion. Bailey, getting ready to start her residency as a Internist Doctor agrees to go with
Asher to see his family. Bailey hits it off with Lolly Asher’s 85 year old grandmother. The rest of
the family takes to Bailey also, but the one who falls the most is Asher. They return to Seattle and
get back to their regular lives. Asher persues Bailey but she doesn’t take the bait the first time. The story is a slow burn with no cheating no angst with a HEA. An enjoyable listen with the sexy voice
of Joe Arden as Asher.
I like Bailey!
Hockey player Asher Reed wanted to spend time with his family at a family reunion in California but he needed someone to keep a medical eye on him since he was suffering from a concussion and a groin pull so he asked his friend Bailey Erickson to do it. Bailey had a couple of weeks off since she had graduated from medical school and was getting ready to start her residency.
Asher always liked Bailey because she was friends with the people he hung around with but when they went camping made him realize that there was so much more to Bailey that just becoming a doctor and being gorgeous didn’t hurt. Asher realized he wanted he finally wanted a relationship with Bailey after seeing how she dealt with his family.
Crossing the Line is the fourth book in the Hot Jocks Series but each of them can be read out of order but they are all worth reading.
Ryan never disappoints with this series .
This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased, honest opinion.
Can I just say how much I’m loving this hockey series??? It’s so fun learning about each of the couples but also getting to see all the others and how they’re doing. I recently started watching hockey myself so it’s nice to get all the references.
In this story our main characters are Asher Reed and Bailey Erickson. Asher is a starting center for the Ice Hawks while Bailey has just finished medical school and is about to start working as an internist.
Asher was very swoon worthy. He gave off these chill, laid back vibes while also coming across as this nurturing, sensitive guy. Asher was not afraid to show emotions or talk about his feelings. Talk about the total package!! I loved his confidence!! He also comes from this big, beautiful family with millions of members to it that made me want to leap into the story and join them. Seeing Asher with his nieces and relatives was just utter perfection.
When it comes to Bailey….I had a few issues. Bailey works hard. No doubt about that. She has a lot on her plate and has goals set that she wants to achieve. She doesn’t need a man to complete her. She already is living her best life. So at times, she came off a little standoffish. She didn’t mind hooking up with Asher but when it was over, she was out. Bailey wasn’t looking for anything deep or long term. While I can understand that completely, it was just a bit hard to relate to her at times. On that note, it was fun seeing the man wanting something deeper and pushing for more than a hook up for a change. That doesn’t happen in most of the books I’ve read.
Overall, this was a cute story filled with lots of family time since the majority of it takes place at Asher’s family reunion/grandma’s birthday party. You’ll fall very quickly for the Reed family, trust me!! But never fear, there are plenty of steamy scenes to keep you satisfied as well!
No turning back, once they cross that line
Asher is sporting a wonderful injury from his ice hockey and isn’t able to visit his family unless he’s accompanied by a medical professional. Luckily for him, Bailey’s able to help him out as she only starts her residency in a few weeks. However, the moment they arrive, it appears the summer is hot….but they’re hotter
Love the entire Reed family and I also love how Ashe was willing to woo Bailey Can’t wait to read the next book in this series as the blurb sounds freaking awesome
I just love to read books by Kendall Ryan and I am totally hooked on this Hot Jocks series. Crossing the Line is a fun, sweet and sexy read. You can’t go wrong with this book.
In looking back at my reviews for the previous books in the Hot Jocks series by author Kendall Ryan, I have to smile. It seems that each successive book about these sexy and talented hockey players is my favorite one of the series, and CROSSING THE LINE is no exception. Asher’s and Bailey’s story is a sweet and sexy friends-to-lovers read that gave me exactly what I wanted, and left me smiling.
All of the guys in these books have that sweet side hidden behind their sexy, sweaty, hockey-playing exteriors, but Asher’s goes even a bit deeper. His love of family and pretty quickly evolving realization that he’s more than ready to put away his fast-living playboy ways to focus on a relationship with Bailey make him one of my favorite Ice Hawks of them all.
That Bailey is written as a successful and self-aware woman is a definite plus for me. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it, although she’s a little bit more of a hard sell in the relationship department than I was expecting. Between the hecka chemistry and the real friendship that she and Asher share, there’s just no way that love won’t win.
CROSSING THE LINE is a sweet and sizzling read that warmed my romance-loving heart. And, although teammates and friends from earlier books make their appearances, it can be read as a standalone, and will delight, no matter what. If this series isn’t already on your TBR, it should be…
FIVE STARS for Bailey and Asher !!!
This is the one more absolutely great book from the “Hot Jocks” series and Kendall showed the one more time that she knows how to write a good rom-com.
“Crossing the Line” is a romantic comedy with friends to lovers trope that will make you laugh a lot.
Bailey and Asher’s relationship is adorable and sweet, but also with a lot of fire between them and each other attraction.
If you’re looking for a perfect romance book to take a break from daily obligations, this is the book for you!!!
Highly recommended!!!
Another great addition to the Hot Jocks series. Each book can be read as a standalone and you get the visit with the other couples from the previous books. Asher and Bailey were so good together. The chemistry and attraction that they had for each other was so intense. This book will have you smiling and leaving you with a warm and fuzzy feeling inside and wishing that you had your own Asher.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Bailey and Asher were the unexpected couple that made me really love them. Bailey is serious and focused and tends to be a bit more on the quiet side when around their group of friends.
Asher is the playboy, the loud, funny, always out to have a good time because when you work hard, you play hard. Asher gets hurt and must sit out the post season, he is supposed to take that time to relax and recover and what better way than a week in San Diego with his family? Unfortunately, the team won’t let him travel without an approved doctor, in walks Bailey.
Bailey has two weeks from when classes stop to when he first rotation starts. How about spending it relaxing with her good friend at his Grandma’s house and all she must do is watch his concussion symptoms and ice his groin, no issues there.
I loved how Bailey came out of her shell with Asher’s family and it was like she had always known them. She became this spunky little thing that just won everyone over. She could finally relax and just be herself. NO test to worry about, no patients to deal with yet. Just fun in the dun and the bedroom.
Another great couple in this series. I love each couple more and more and love getting to see glimpses of the others in the books.
