This is book 7 in the Bradens & Montgomery: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls series. Trixie Jericho is the only girl in a family full of male cowboy ranchers and she is tired of being teased about her “cute” dream of having a miniature horse therapy business. Nick Braden trains stunt horses and is a confirmed bachelor who safely guards his aloneness. Nick and Trixie have been best friends for years. At Nick’s invitation, Trixie moves in with him for a month to get a head start on her business. Of course, Trixie has always wanted more with Nick so when they start living together and working on her business 24/7, sparks fly and their friendship deepens and expands. All of Melissa Foster’s books have a central theme of family – those we are born into and those we create – and beautiful heart squeezing love. This book is no exception, it is the embodiment of family and love. Expect to feel all the feelings. Expect to laugh, cry, and sigh. Throughout this beautifully paced story of Nick and Trixie’s HEA, there is growth and adjustment for both of them. Nick has to deal with his solitary life and why he avoids romantic relationships. Trixie has to decide whether being with Nick is more important than living on her family’s ranch. With Hot for Love, Melissa Foster once again proves she’s a fantastic storyteller and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I love the Bradens and the Montgomery families and now I want a miniature horse.
Audio Review
Nick and Trixie’s story is about being the best of friends for a long while and finally opening your eyes one day and realizing there is more than just friendship there. That happened for Nick Braden when he helped his friend to achieve her dreams. This story is so good, there is the brudy cowboy and the cowgirl and them both loving the same things but there is also the inter workings of both of their families and friends so you get the whole feeling of a community of love. We still have the magic of the Inn working it’s love surprise on these two when they least expect it and we get to watch Nick’s heart heal from old wounds that he has carried for far too long. We watch Trixie grow up a little where she is going for her dream and doing it without her family’s help. These two are a great couple and I really loved their story.
Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow were great as Trixie and Nick. Savannah brought what was needed for Trixie’s spunky characters and Aiden was a perfect Nick, all smoldering hot cowboy. Great job.
This is a stand alone book that is part of an ongoing series where the characters all know one another and each book we get to revisit old friends and see how their lives are going as well. I love series like that, where you can read just one or all of the books and still know what is going on. I recommend this book.
I love friends to lovers romance but Ms. Foster has a way of making it so much more. Hot for Love is the 7th book in this series and I think it might just be the best yet. It gives all the warm fuzzy feelings but with the steam you can count on from a Foster book. I love that we got to see not only the development of the relationship between Nick and Trixie but also how their friendship evolved. I love that when you read a Foster book you don’t just read you feel like you are right there in the story with them. I love that not only is Nick a strong male character but Trixie is a strong female character. He supports and lifts her up to allow her to be her best self. I think that may be my favorite part of Foster books, the men support the women and know it takes nothing away from them. As always, I can’t wait for more!
Nick Braeden, is the trick riding cowboy. the buckle bunnies swoon over him.
Trixie Jericho is a spitfire, all cowgirl . She grew up knowing Nick and had a crush on him, but always wanting for more.
She loves her family, but being the only girl in a family of all guys makes it difficult to date and have a relationship.
She has an ambition to start her own business, The only person that believes in her idea, is non other than Nick.
She was excited when he invites her to stay at his ranch for a month, to buy the ponies and train them. Melissa Foster has written another fantastic story with angst, compassion, love, and family,
Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow are excellent narrators portraying all the emotions, love, angst and of each character . I really enjoyed listening to this story.

Hilarious and a Happily ever after!
4.5 stars
I really adored this story. It’s just so sweet, while also being sexy and thoughtful. Trixie and Nick are definitely made for each other. Their chemistry is amazing and I love how clueless they both are in the beginning. Both trying so hard to be the “friend” they think the other wants and needs. Doing everything in their power to not cross any boundaries.
To be frank, the last book in this series didn’t do it for me. It wasn’t bad, but I’m just so used to loving this author’s stories that it threw me for a loop. I’m elated that this story had me thoroughly engaged and I didn’t want to put it down.
This is one of those stories where you keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, but the couple finds a way to talk a lot of their issues through instead of dropping a bomb and exploding their budding relationship. Not that there’s not any strife or angst, this is a romance after all. But it’s all handled so well. In some ways, Nick and Trixie are in their own little world staying out on Nick’s ranch. They go out and see other people, but most of the day is spent with just the two of them. A great way to deepen their intimacy.
There are layers to Nick that aren’t obvious to even some of his closest friends and family. He took a lot on his shoulders in the past and never asked for recognition or anything in return. Which also means he kept a lot inside. Never wanting to add to anyone’s problems, he never reached out with his own issues. Not even for a friendly ear.
Although Trixie hasn’t taken the weight of her whole family’s problems on her shoulders, she is still a people pleaser. She loves and respects her family so much and they don’t always realize when they’re not extending the same courtesy to her since she doesn’t always speak up. But when she does, to her family’s credit, they finally listen.
Trixie and Nick see these things about each other. They understand and admire each other in such a beautiful way.
First, you might look at Hot for Love and think…. wait, this is book 75 in a series? Or book #31 in another series. However, I haven’t listened or read the other 100 books to get me here. You can listen to this book easily as a standalone. Yes, you’ll meet what I assume are characters from the earlier books. But that’s ok and does not take away from the current story. Speaking of the current story, Trixie was fabulous! I loved her go-get-em attitude. Poor Nick didn’t stand a chance when faced with Trixie. I loved the slow development from friends to lovers and just how fun the story was.
Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow were the best narrators for this audiobook. Peachwood has this soft and sassy voice that was spot on for Trixie. Snow was just as good. He was able to portray multipe charractes and give them all a solitary voice while still bwing overwhelmingly Nick. Both narrator brought their A-game and was able to add emotion and heart to the story. Fab job!

This is the seventh book in The Bradens and Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls Series. Trixie and Nick’s best friends to lovers story is sweet, beautiful, heartwarming, and romantic. Nick is handsome. Trixie is lovely and determined. They share an undeniable chemistry. The supporting characters are great. Savannah Peachwood, and Aiden Snow did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. #AudiobookObsession
Hot For Love: Nick Braden by Melissa Foster is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow.
This is the seventh book in The Braden’s and Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone.
I absolutely love Melissa’s books! They always leave you with a smile. You can’t help but fall in love with Trixie and Nick. I really enjoyed that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
Savannah and Aiden did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I can’t wait to listen to more of their work in the future.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves contemporary romances.

A friends to lovers book that will have you swoon. I loved these two and how they supported each other in all things and grew as both a couple and as a person in their own too. This book is fantastic and the narration was done equally as well.
Melissa is the queen of a great friends to lovers story! Trixie Jericho and Nick Braden are a fire storm waiting to happen and when they finally realise that they are ready to break down their barriers and move on from the friend zone they wonder why on earth they spent so long pining for each other!
I loved the chemistry they had together, and with every book that Melissa writes I swear the couples chemistry just gets hotter and hotter. Trixie’s business sounds so amazing and I loved the way that Nick helps her to make that dream come true – my eyes watered at the price of the miniature ponies!
Hot for Love: Nick Braden
The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls, Book 7
By: Melissa Foster
Narrated by: Savannah Peachwood, Aiden Snow
There are times we have a couple that just click. Trixie and Nick are that couple. These two have known each other for years, have similar passions and seem perfect together. But Nick doesn’t do commitment and Trixie has a dream she is following. When she needs some help from an objective person, Nick comes to her aid. Now in close quarters, the sparks may just be too hard to ignore. But can it lead to a happily ever after? I absolutely love these two! I love that they are friends first and the basis of their relationship is strong. I love how Nick helps her find her horses and I love how she thrives as she begins to put together her company. I love the brothers and cousins coming to rile Nick up a bit in good fun and if you can’t tell, I totally fell for this couple. They are easy to get to know, low angst and a heartwarming love story we can’t help but get caught up in. It’s another amazing listen by Melissa Foster and I can’t wait for more!
Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood bring this touching story to life. The seasoned narrators are cast perfectly and use their voices to draw us in and capture our hearts. It’s a team I love to listen to and will look forward to their next collaboration.

Hot for Love was the seventh book in the Braden’s & Montgomery’s: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls series by Melissa Foster. It was also one of the many in the Love in Bloom series.
Trixie Jericho was the lone female of the Jericho siblings; therefore, she was protected by her alpha brothers and not always taken seriously. Her career aspirations aligned with her family legacy; however, she needed to branch out from under her family’s cover to see it grow to its fullest capabilities. Enter Nick.
Nick Braden was a sexy, gruff rancher and horse trainer and had been friends with the Jericho siblings for years. Trixie had always been off limits so they had developed a strong friendship and when she outlined her new business plan, Nick offered her to live and train at his ranch in Pleasant Hill while she prepped for her new adventure.
Hot for Love was a slow burn. They had been friends for a long time so there was a ton of push and pull without any relationship development beyond the friendship. For added depth, Foster included details of daily activities, particularly those related to horses, ranching, and horse training.
I enjoyed the book but it was an easy one to put down and pick up later. It was a good book to read slowly and to fit in between busy life activities. And it will be a bonus to those who love or are interested in ranching and horse training.
All in all, it was an enjoyable read. As expected it was steamy, but it had many sweet and heartfelt moments as well. I enjoyed both characters and Foster demonstrated the strong connection and bond well. It was a total “good feels” book and I can’t wait for more! Amber Montgomery is up next in Sweet, Sexy Heart.
Audio Review:
Hot for Love: Nick Braden (The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls, Book 7) smashes contemporary romance and women’s fiction together in this friends to lovers romance. I love animals and when authors include them in their story it makes them even better. The writing style is organic, romantic and vivid. The story is low angst, engagingly sweet and spicy. Character’s are well developed and wittyly playful. The story felt natural and flowed through smoothly to the end.
Savannah Peachwood, Aiden Snow dual naration was exuberantly performed, smooth and easy listening. Savannah Peachwood’s natural talent gives Trixie her own voice as well as the other characters. Her southern drawl is intoxicating to listen to and enhance the listening experience. Aiden Snow gave Nick Braden and the other characters their own voice. Together they blended together creating a mellow listen.

I have been eagerly awaiting Nick, and Trixie’s story, and Foster did not disappoint. This is the seventh book in the Bradens and Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill- Oak Fall series. Like all the other books in the series, readers can read it as a standalone. All of her books are inter-connected as we see characters from this series and others playing a role in this book.
Hot for Love was a sweet and passionate friend to lover’s romance. Trixie and Nick have known each for sometime now and she has been crushing on him ever since their first meeting. Nick, however, is clueless as to Trixie’s feelings towards him. This made for some serious moments of jealousy on his part. Also, he feared damaging their friendship and so he suffered in silence.
Trixie Jericho had dreams of operating a miniature horse business. However, her family failed to take her seriously and so she turned to the one person who had always believed in her abilities, Nick Braden. In his desire to help her achieve her dreams, he offers her the use of his ranch, which of course would require her to stay with him for a month. Can Nick survive the month or will he throw caution to wind and take their relationship beyond friendship?
Nick and Trixie worked well together, both as friends and as a couple. I had a great time watching Trixie break down Nick’s walls, brick by brick. She challenged him and pushed him to a better version of himself.
Nick struggles with his feelings for Trixie jumped off the pages. He had given upon the idea of love believing it brought only destruction. However, with Trixie he learns that not only does love not destroy it had the power to heal.
I enjoyed watching Nick and Trixie’s relationship developed from friends to lovers. Every aspect of their relationship felt authentic, which made it easy to buy into their romance.
Foster provided some interesting information regarding miniature horses and their use as a therapy tool. I found these details quite fascinating.
The bonds of family and friendships featured heavily in the story, which is a signature feature of Foster’s stories. The banter and the moments shared were delightful and riddled with emotions.
I had a wonderful time with this latest offering from Foster and would definitely recommend it and the previous books to fans of contemporary romance. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
One thing know when I’m reading (or in this case, listening to) a Melissa Foster book is that I’ll be swooning a lot and loving the low angst, wonderfully romantic story. And this was no different. Trixie wants to start a mini horse business to help rehabilitate children. Nick has been her friend for years and is always supporting and offers to help her with her business. During this time, they start a relationship and it evolves so beautifully. I loved how the progression was natural and fun. This is a low angst story that was perfectly performed by Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow. These two narrators were so perfect for the roles and were able to play the multiple characters that were a part of this story. I also adored how Melissa Foster integrates so many of her characters from her other series into each book- as an avid fan of her stories, I love being immersed in her worlds.

HOT FOR LOVE by Melissa Foster. Well, Ms. Foster has once again captured my heart and would not let go! Trixie and Nick are scrumptious together! Friends to lovers to more is my favorite trope and Ms. Foster writes it better than anyone. Of course, the story was uber sexy too. Trixie and Nick have more than sparks – their fireworks blew me away! Of course, no road is ever that easy and they have to work to reach their HEA, but Ms. Foster writes in such a way that it is believable and true to life. If you crave a tale that will warm your heart, make you feel all the feels and more, then don’t miss this one! (received ARC for honest review)
This is Trixie Jericho and Nick Braden’s book. As per the usual stories we get from this author it was very hard to put down!! It was full of all the things that you want in a friends to lover’s romance – humour, flying sparks, sexy fun times with plenty of emotions and at the heart of it all is a true love story!! If there’s one thing guaranteed it’s that no matter what mood your in a Melissa Foster book will 100% give you all the feels……
