Ben, the most romantic of the smoking hot Knight brothers, knew from the moment he met his high school sweetheart, Julie deGaia, that she was the one for him. Marriage, kids…he wanted forever with Julie—until the moment she skipped town without a word. Then Ben’s father was murdered, and his life was irrevocably changed. Now, after twelve years, Julie’s back. Ben’s over her, of course. They’re … completely different people now.
Right. If they’re so different, why do his feelings for her seem so damn familiar?
And how, after all this time, can she still make Ben so hot and bothered?
Julie was never supposed to return to Jupiter Point. It’s only by staying away that she’s ensured her safety. But she owes a huge debt to the wealthy and demanding Reinhard family, who took her in as a child. What the Reinhards want, they get, so here she is, dodging a handsomer-than-ever Ben Knight. Her former sweetheart has turned into a hunky pilot who aims that sexy smile at everyone except her—until he learns the truth about why she left in the first place.
If the past can’t keep Ben and Julie apart, a deadly threat in the present might. As for that idyllic future they always dreamed about? It might take some Jupiter Point magic to put this star-crossed couple on the road to happy ever after.

She’s devoted her life to helping her best friend raise her child. She’s brought him back to Jupiter Point up visit his grandparents & manages to get mixed up in the Knight brothers search for their father’s killer. Now she’s realized she never left her feelings for Ben behind. She just ignored them. Can she find a way to integrate a relationship with Ben into her life without everything falling apart?
This was a great second chance love story! As the reader gets involved in the story, Ms. Bernard’s writing style has you feeling the same emotions that the characters were feeling. Every time the Reinhards emphasized that Julie wasn’t a true part of the family, you feel her hurt & pain. When Julie & Ben were near each other, their chemistry burned hot, heavy & intense. The interactions between Julie, Savannah & Felix showcased the love & affection they felt for each other. The plot was intriguing & the continued thread of trying to discover who killed the Knight’s father added unexpected twists & suspense. Great story!!
Another great book in the Jupiter Point series. This time we get Ben Knight, pilot for Knight and Day sightseeing and his high school sweetheart, Julie. Julie shows back up after being gone for 12 yrs. When she first shows back up she tries to avoid Ben after the way things ended between them and Ben is trying to avoid her also. Julie comes back with her friend Savannah’s son Felix so he can visit his grandparents and also to talk to the police about what happened a few nights before Ben’s father was murdered.
I loved Ben and was happy he was able to be happy again with Julie. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Julie because she seemed to put everyone else’s happiness before her’s and Ben’s. It was also nice to get some more clues into the murder of Ben’s father.
This is the second chance romance about Ben and Julie. I love all these books and this book sucked me in more. We’re getting closer to learning who the killer of Robert Knight is. I love all the suspense in the books too. If you’re looking for a series about small town living and all its perks, then this is the perfect series for you.
Hot and Bothered: Another wonderful love story for Knight Family. Each story keeps getting better and better. Jennifer Bernard did it again. I loved all the characters and all the challenges that Ben and Julie went through but the love stay strong throughout the book. Fantastic job of writing and telling their story.
Back in the day, nothing got Ben Knight more hot and bothered than Julie deGaia. And vice versa – everyone in Jupiter Point knew this two teenage love birds were destined for forever….until they weren’t.
The big mystery swirling throughout the Knight Brothers series spin-off from Jupiter Point (right after who murdered the Knight Brothers’ father) was what happened between Julie and Ben that sent Ben into the Air Force and Julie away from Jupiter Point for 12 years. Now that Julie has waltzed back into Jupiter Point, it becomes clear that not even Ben is quite sure what happened. Misunderstandings and missed opportunities seem to have plagued these two in the past, but danger is swirling in the present. Just what is going on?
This is another emotional read from Ms. Bernard that will give you all the feels – the romance, the warmth, the suspense, the heartache – not to mention some anger towards those that did Ben and Julie wrong years ago. I enjoyed every up, every down, every “bump in the road” this couple experienced on their way to HEA. This author can always be counted on for a well-written plot with interesting characters you will love or hate, maybe even at the same time! (No spoilers, but the Reinhards? Hmmmmm) Bottom line is that this book left me happy, satisfied, and intrigued for the next one! A+
WOW! WOW! WOW! I LOVE and Adore this series, Jupiter Point, so very much. And with HOT AND BOTHERED we get the story of Ben and his high school girlfriend Julie. I love reunited romances and this one is truly engaging. The story follows along as Ben and Julie reunite but it’s not all “happy and fun”, Ben is still mad over how things ended and Julie isn’t sure why Ben is mad when she’s the one who was left. It takes time for the truth of what really happened to their high school romance to come to light and then they have to decide can their “new” love really last when their lives are so different? I loved watching these two find out the truth and come to terms with their different views of the past. When the present interferes with their romance once more they have to figure out if they can trust in the love they share or let each other go. The romance is strong, well written and engaging. The characters are realistic and believable. HOT AND BOTHERED is part of the Jupiter Point series but can be read a lone. Yes there are recurring characters and a sub story that continues to grow as the series goes on but you will not be lost if you start with HOT AND BOTHERED you will however want to read the previous titles. Highly Highly Recommended!
There is something special about a high school sweetheart story; the shared history, surviving one of the worst times of your life together, finding a way to make it despite all that. Ben and Julie in Jennifer Bernard’s latest Hot and Bothered, are such a couple. A terrible misunderstanding pulled them apart, now that both are back in Jupiter Point they have the opportunity to straighten it out. While Ben and Julie are fun, Felix, Julie’s godson, steals the show. He adds another dimension to the story which makes it all the more fun. There is more suspense in this novel than Bernard’s other works, but she works it in subtly so even non-fans won’t even notice. Bernard does leave a major thread dangling at the end of this installment. I hope it doesn’t take her long to pick it back up. It is time to solve the Knight murder. If for that reason alone, I can’t wait for the next installment.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.
Again WOW!! I don’t know how she does it, but every book, including Hot and Bothered, Jennifer Bernard writes in her Jupiter Point series is better than the last. This is an amazing story about two people who get a second chance at the love they were denied as teens. Ben and Julie are perfect for each other, then and now. Neither could forget the other, their first love and nor could they find someone who could fill the hole left in their hearts. Julie gives all of herself to others, especially to her best friend and godson, but takes nothing for herself. Ben is all about family; his brothers and missing mom and sister. After twelve years away, Julie returns to Jupiter Point with some clues to the murder of the Knight Brothers’ father. Now it’s time for Julie to think and act for herself and her love for Ben.
I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. This amazing story is a sexier and steamier story than Ms. Bernard usually writes. However, this story really drew me in and did not let me go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers and can’t wait to read her next book. This is not only the seventh book in the Jupiter Point series but also the third book in her Knight Brothers series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I think I say this every time, and if I don’t I feel it, that each new book in the Jupiter Point series is my new favorite. Well, Hot and Bothered definitely takes the cake. This is absolutely my favorite of the series! This book has everything I look for in a second chance romance and then some.
I adore Ben, pretty sure he is my favorite Knight brother, hands down. Julie is amazing with Felix. Her love, devotion, and loyalty to him and Savannah shone brightly in everything she did. Felix was like my nephew and I saw his face in my mind’s eye every time he was in a scene. I thought Jennifer Bernard did an excellent job with his character.
As Ben and Julie seemed to be making their way back to each other, we are thrown for a loop with one heck of a twist and turn of events! I loved the action and drama, it added a whole other element to the book. I don’t want to give too much away by saying too much, but it was perfect!
I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I’m so wrapped up in the town, the people, their lives, and most of all I want the Knight brothers to get to the bottom of their father’s murder!
Phenomenal job, Jennifer Bernard!
I am still seriously swooning over Ben Knight! Yes ladies another of the very sexy, charming and incredibly awesome Knight brothers, finally comes face to face with his fate or in Ben’s case finally does again. We definitely see who got a big helping of sweetness, vulnerability and the ability to fly circles around the heart of the woman he wants.
I am such a sucker for a really good second chance love story, and this certainly is that!! I love how both Ben and Julie are totally unprepared for the onslaught of feelings that come to the surface again after 12 years. They were just teenagers before and hadn’t ever taken their relationship to that final level of intimacy. Oh but how they most definitely get there now!
Ben & Tobias have something special to be proud of in their flight tour business and stepping in to help the Hot Shots when needed. Ben is very happy in Jupiter Point.
Julie has a successful cleaning business in LA and is very devoted to her friend Savannah’s son Felix as she has stepped in to be his caregiver while Savannah is on location shooting since she is an actress.
Julie brings Felix with her back to Jupiter Point because she really wants to make everything right for Ben and his brothers after leaving the way she did 12 years ago and to finally give them the information she has been afraid to talk about for so many years. It takes so much courage and strength on her part. That whole part of the story line is so just good and intense.
I love that Ben & Julie have both basically been unable to love anyone because they have loved each other for so long and are finally getting the chance to be together and be everything to each other. They have some intensely hot chemistry and some very sexy, steamy moments. But what happens when Julie has to leave to go back to LA? Can they make it work?
Hot & Bothered does not disappoint and definitely lives up to it’s title. Jennifer Bernard can’t go wrong with this series in my eyes!
Can I give this more than 5 stars??? I have loved the Knight Brothers books/series since the very beginning. With Hot and Bothered, I can honestly say it gets better and better and better! There’s so much I want to say about specific things I enjoyed about this story however I do not want to deliver any spoilers. It is about Ben and Julie this time, but of course all the brothers stop by…and they, too, just keep getting more and more endearing.
Not only is the story of Ben and Julie wonderful and warm and heart-hurting (all at the same time), it brings us closer to the story about the Knight family both in the past and today. We are introduced to Savannah and Felix Reinhard – I won’t try to connect the dots; read the story, you won’t be sorry – and Felix’s character is just amazing. How Julie, and even Ben, deal with him? I’d want to know both of them and even have them as part of MY family.
I wish I felt I could say more but each time Ms. Bernard writes about a Knight brother, I fall hard. This time is no exception. Julie will endear herself to you as well, as she has had just as “bad” a childhood as the Knights, in a much different way. Just when I thought things were looking up for these two, well, the story takes another turn that kept me reading until I had finished. Loved the book, loved Ben, Julie, Felix and Sarah… Don’t know how to recommend Hot and Bothered/Jupiter Point – The Knight Brothers series more. Great reads, all. And special hugs to Ben.
