I really enjoyed this book. Author Nathan Pike comes to town to do research for his book. But when a body turns up exactly like the murder scene in his draft, a whole new research begins to who did it.
I really loved seeing Jill’s character growing and developing. She’s going to school to learn more about business and she has decisions to make in her personal life. The mystery was excellent and kept me guessing. I look forward to the next in this series.
I really like A Tourist Trap series, but the last two books dragged a little for me. In this one, I think Lynn Cahoon hit a perfect stride between the mystery and Jill’s life. The repetition was gone. I was happy to see Jill and Greg finally take the next step and move in together. I really liked the new kid she hired for her shop. He came off as smart but unique. It was a pleasure to read everything come together in a happy mix.
Well this didn’t end up how I planned! I went into this book with how I wanted things to go and not 1 thing went right! I even figured out who the killer was before Jill! Still a really good book though
Y’all. This series has gotten ahold of me. I really enjoyed the progress in Jill and Greg’s relationship. The mystery in this one was super interesting. I can’t wait to read the next book!
All sorts of turmoil hits the town when a celebrated mystery author returns to write his newest book in the area and someone mimics a murder from his latest manuscript. Excellent plotting with multiple storylines as the murder needs solved, a young boy is missing, Jill’s love life is at a crossroads as is the storylines of several other recurring characters. While there is lots of situations ongoing and needing resolved, they are woven together to make a fun and enjoyable entertaining read that makes this series one to put on your must read or in my case, must listen list!
I love her cozy mysteries.
They’re light, fun and interesting
I’ve been enjoying this series, but this book, particularly the heroine’s angst about whether to move in with the guy she adores and who is pretty much perfect as only guys in books can be, felt very forced. It’s an okay read, and I especially liked Esmeralda’s part in this, things work out. Fine for an afternoon under a shady tree.
I really like this series. I was glad she is moving Jill and her love along!

The owner of a local Bed and Breakfast is
found murder. He was murdered exactly as
a character in the author’s draft for his next
book.
Jill is kept busy studying for her exams,
interviewing people for the shop, keeping
an eye on her psychic neighbor, deciding
whether she and Greg should live together
plus investigating the murder to prove the
author’s innocence.
Her psychic neighbor believe a missing
boy is alive and is trying to locate him after
everyone else gave up on finding him.
Emma, Jill’s dog plays an active part in

The story is fast paced with interesting,
colorful and well written characters. It has
plenty of suspense, humor and a touch of
romance.
This is book # 8 in the Tourist Trap Mystery
series. It can be read as a stand alone.
