The world’s sexiest firefighter is about to get a second chance with the virgin next door… virgin gamer geek suddenly in charge of running my sister’s sex toy factory. Too bad both are written in my stars.
Yeah, I’m the world’s oldest virgin code-writing nerd.
And he’s the world’s hottest firefighter.
And even though he intimidates the heck out of me, I can’t seem to control my libido when he’s around.
Where is my dignity? My self-respect? My panties?
Seriously…. Have you seen them? Anyone?
Maybe they’re hiding in his bedroom. With my heart.
Yeah, I know. I’m hosed.
So hosed.
Hosed is a steamy, fun romantic comedy between a firefighter and the virgin nerd next door, complete with a pet raccoon, scandalous gossip, and dildo football. (No, really.) This romance has no cheating or cliffhangers, and ends with a banging hot happily ever after.

When I found out two of my favorite authors were teaming up to write a book I was super stoked! This book is laugh out loud funny which I was so looking forward to because Grant and Valente rock at romantic comedies. I laughed from beginning to end. This book also packs the heat and heart. It also had a little suspense they kept me on the edge of my seat. The story had me hooked as well. I have to say though George Cooney stole the show. I loved him so much. Plus the scenes with him and Ryan melted my heart. I really hope there is much more collaboration between Grant and Valente in the future.
What happens when you put two fantastic authors like Pippa Grant and Lili Valente together to write a book? You get a hilariously quirky and sexy rom-com called Hosed. I loved that the writing was seamless throughout. You couldn’t tell which author wrote which part and that’s the best part of this novel!
I love Cassie and Ryan’s story. George Cooney is quite possibly my favorite pet in a book, EVER. The things this guy finds in his neighbors trash can is highly amusing. So… a hot firefighter and a virgin code writer walk into a sex toy shop… there are so many funny bits in this book it’s honestly really hard to tell you which one was my favorite. I love that every time these authors write a book it’s unique and unlike any other story you’re read.
Hosed is laugh out loud funny and sweet to the core. Grab a blanket, bundle on the couch, and sit back for a quirky, fun read. Definitely a must read for 2019!
Ryan and Cassie are amazing. Ryan is a super hot firefighter with a heart of gold. Cassie is a shy virgin gamer who has a lot to discover about herself. Ryan and Cassie have known each other since high school, but Ryan inadvertently broke Cassie’s heart. He gets his second chance to make things right and their story has all the feels! However when Ryan makes one more dumb decision does he get a second chance at his second chance?
Highly Recommend!!!
Great writing from two excellent authors! Funny, sweet, sexy romance with an adorable pet named George Cooney. Very enjoyable!
Where do I being? A town named Happy Cat? A sex toy factory? A sexy firefighter? Maybe with a pet raccoon? Yup! That’s where we start because who wouldn’t love a pet like George Cooney ?! He is adorable and always provides comedic entertainment. As for the STEAMY romance between a tech nerd girl and a hot firefighter….well let’s just say it was HOT in here!!!
I absolutely adored the way that I was laughing from start to finish in this book. It was adorable and relatable while also being outlandish (I mean…how does that even happen?!) 100% recommend this book!
I received this book as an ARC but provided my honest opinion.

Hosed by Pippa Grant/Lili Valente is romcom at its best! There was so many laugh out loud moments. The computer geek gets the high school heartthrob!
Cassie is a typical gamer, computer programmer and, on top of that, a virgin. From her personality and character to her shirts, this book is perfect. Cassie gets thrown into running her sisters sex toy business and the giggling starts. She is awkward enough having to work around dildos, butt plugs, lube, and anal beads, now she must defend the business from someone trying to sabotage it.
Pretty sure my favorite part is the “civic duty” portion (when you read it, you will bust out laughing), that is beside George, the pet raccoon or “trash panda” running through the town with anal beads around his neck. I think I would have been rolling on the ground laughing my booty off seeing all of that.
Oh, George, OK, you sold me here. I am a HUGE fan of Guardians of the Galaxy “trash panda” and that just popped this book up another star. George’s antics and Cassie’s shirts give this book the perfect comic relief. George’s owner, Ryan, on the other hand, is one of the local sexy as heck firemen in Happy Cat. He sees Cassie is back in town and makes it his mission to win her over. She may have slipped through his hands in high school but not this time.
Can we just talk about a town called “Happy Cat” that has a sex toy factory in it? HAHA! I had to say something. I am left wondering about Cassie’s sister and her ordeal. It made me a little pissy towards her sister when she up and left Cassie with her business not to mention her flippancy. But besides that, the other characters in this book bring out so much of the craziness and small town feel.
This is a definitely a book to add to your TBR list. It is a sexy romance with a lighter side to it. It will leave you giggling.
So hot and hilarious!! Loved Cassie and Ryan’s story. Cassie, the game programmer returns home to help out her notorious famously sister whose had an breakdown of epic portions. Meanwhile hot firefighter Ryan whom Cassie had a crush on years ago never let town and is her new next door neighbor.
Cassie’s job to keep Sunshine adult toy factory in business even if she’s afraid to handle the products. Tasked with managing a bunch of kooky characters while sabotage seems to be happening under watch. The town of Happy Cat is definitely split between watching Cassie succeed and running the adult toy factory right out of the center of town. Called to put of a lube fire, Ryan runs into Cassie after numerous years since the high school play took place and Cassie heart was crushed by teenage Ryan. I couldn’t put down the story as I wanted to see if Ryan and Cassie’s feelings stand a chance against the fire and naysayers in town.
And of course there’s a ridiculous amazing pet raccoon of Ryan’s George Cooney who totally steals the story!!! The whole town of Happy Cat is such a wonderful zany third character to this hot story of reliving and surviving one’s youth and hometown shenanigans.
I received an ARC for a voluntary and honest review.
Two of my favorite rom-com authors had a book baby!! And just as I expected it’s laugh out loud, smile til my cheeks hurt, five star gold! I loved the dynamics between Ryan and Cassie. I loved the small town setting. Even the supporting characters deserve a mention because they are sooo quirky I think I need to meet them. Did I mention how fun this book is?
What a fun read. Pippa Grant books are always a guaranteed laugh out loud book. The trash can panda……the lollypops…..the lube…..the laughs!!!
Ugh! I knew I was going to enjoy Hosed (seeing as individually Pippa Grant and Lili Valente can do no wrong for me), but I wasn’t prepared to love it as much as I did. It had the perfect balance of humor and sweetness, with a touch of heat and even some suspense – it is just the perfect bit of happy! The characters are fun and well fleshed out and I’m seriously hoping that all the foreshadowing we got about Jace and Olivia is going to lead to a book about them and also a book about the other O’Dell brother Blake AND Cassie’s sister Savannah! Give me all the books from Happy Cat, GA 🙂 And George Cooney was the best pet character ever; every time he was on the page I was tickled to pieces and reminded of the raccoons from The Great Outdoors (I’m aging myself a bit there) and The Incredibles 2. What’s a girls gotta to do to get an amazingly intelligent, domesticated trash panda (and his hot as balls, firefighter owner) of her own? 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
Hosed was everything I expected from a Pippa Grant novel. Yet it felt different in the best way due to joint writing with Lili Valent. I’ve never read Valent, but I’m for sure going to check out her other books. I would fully support more Grant and Valent books in the future. Near future for sure. I think they left the door open for several of the supporting cast to get their own, which I love. I loved Cassie and Ryan and their story was just so fun.
What’s not to love: a small town setting, friends-to-lovers trope, a sexy fireman, a 20-something virgin, and a grand romantic gesture. Plus several signature touches like incendiary lube, a semi-domesticated trash panda keen on coitus interruptus, and a diverse and hilarious supporting cast.
Terrific team-up by Grant and Valente. Hope they write a whole series of funny, sexy stories set in Happy Cat, Georgia. Seems like there’s lots of stories to tell there. I especially enjoyed the way the exchanges from the town’s gossip website were used to expand characterizations and move the story forward. Plus they were always hilarious.
And don’t miss out on the bonus story told from the perspective of the raccoon.
Cassie is back in town to look after her sister’s sex toy business. Her sister just happens to live across the street from Ryan, Cassie’s secret crush in high school. Cassie is also a virgin but can’t keep her libido under control around Ryan. Ryan is a firefighter with a pet raccoon. He also discovers he is into Cassie. This was a hilarious, cute, sexy story that I recommend.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review.
As always, Pippa’s book was a 5 star read for me. Add in the added comedy and quirkiness of having a co-author and it was phenomenal.
Cassie was weird yet not, shy yet not, and freaking smart. Ryan is a hot firefighter… who doesn’t want one of those? Their friendship and love story formed in the perfect way. And the sub-characters were awesome! Especially George Cooney…
I would definitely recommend this book!! And keeping my fingers crossed for more co-written books about the other characters! 🙂
You do not only get one awesome, hilarious author but we get two!! This book was great and it put a smile on my face, or laugh lines since I did a lot of that. We meet Cassie who is a gaming queen but who is in her old home-small town trying to save her sister sex-toy business. She ends up running into her old hottie crush Ryan O’dell who had broken her heart years ago in a humiliating fashion. Ryan could not believe his eyes when he sees Cassie she is all grown up and for some reason hates him and he has know idea why, but he intends to find out. As they spend time together it comes out that it was a misunderstanding and they fall in love while getting to know each other and having to deal with the towns crazy antics and someone sabotaging the factory. We get to meet George and now I want a racoon, but I am pretty sure he wont be the same. We go thru some ups and downs but eventually we get out HEA..Can’t wait for Jace’s and Olivia’s story, because we don’t like Ginger.
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
This was an amazing read if you like romantic comedy. I starting laughing from the name of the town to George Clooney to the bicycle. If you are looking for a quick read about 2nd chances and firemen then this is your book
I snort laughed thru the parts that were not smoldering. This book was so sweet, so laugh out loud funny and sexy! Wow! I really Loved it! Run to order this book, you will not regret reading this! I mean how can you, there is a Sexy fireman, and Racoon named George Clooney… and a sex toy factory… if you have read anything by these authors you know that funny unexpected chaos is going to ensue… I cannot wait for the (“crossing fingers”) next books in this series…. I am ready to devour them.
Received an arc in exchange for an honest review. Cassie returns to her hometown, in order to run her sister’s business while she is out taking some time off in Europe. While she is there she runs into a hot fireman from her high school days. They have an instant chemistry and get along so well. I loved them from the start and the dual perspective allows you to see that the attraction is definitely not one sided. I loved the character development that Cassie goes through. The side characters are all wonderful and I hope that we get to see more of Happy Cat. This books is funny, sweet, and just the right amount of heat.
What a great read to kick off the new year! Hosed is an uproariously entertaining read that not only focuses on a memorable and extremely likeable hero and heroine but also introduces a full cast of zany characters whose stories will undoubtedly provide many more hours of snort-worthy fun. The book opens with the sarcastic wit I’ve come to expect (and adore) from Ms. Grant, and the laugh-so-loud-your-husband-has-to-leave-the-room moments are plentiful throughout. A pet racoon, a violated sheep, a toilet mishap, dildo handlebars and football–what’s not to love. At least, if you have an appropriate sense of humor. If these words alone make you cringe, then you should probably skip this one (although it might do you some good to remove the stick from your butt and read it anyway). True to form with Ms. Grant’s other books, the actual conflict was not exactly what I was expecting, and the resolution to it was so satisfying. No doormat heroines here! This is my first read by Ms. Valente, but I sure hope these two gals keep this series going because they’ve created rom-com gold.
A sincere thank you to the authors for providing an ARC for review. This one sets a really, really high bar for all the other books I will read/review in 2019.
I loved this!! So, so funny! Cassie and Ryan captured my heart and I was so happy to see them get their HEA!
Neighbors-to-lovers with a pet racoon? Yes, please!
I loved everything about this book! It was funny, sweet, and sexy. I can’t wait to read more from this duo!!
