The world’s sexiest firefighter is about to get a second chance with the virgin next door… virgin gamer geek suddenly in charge of running my sister’s sex toy factory. Too bad both are written in my stars.
Yeah, I’m the world’s oldest virgin code-writing nerd.
And he’s the world’s hottest firefighter.
And even though he intimidates the heck out of me, I can’t seem to control my libido when he’s around.
Where is my dignity? My self-respect? My panties?
Seriously…. Have you seen them? Anyone?
Maybe they’re hiding in his bedroom. With my heart.
Yeah, I know. I’m hosed.
So hosed.
Hosed is a steamy, fun romantic comedy between a firefighter and the virgin nerd next door, complete with a pet raccoon, scandalous gossip, and dildo football. (No, really.) This romance has no cheating or cliffhangers, and ends with a banging hot happily ever after.

So cute and romantic. They are great together. He’s so sweet. Loving her as is. So great. Every girl dream.
I loved every second of this book! This romance had all the elements I want in a love story – heart, passion, emotion, humor and a happily ever after. The relationship and flirty, witty banter between Cassie and Ryan had me smiling and laughing often. Their chemistry was electric and irresistible. The storyline had me swooning and just melted my heart – so romantic!. The small-town feel was captured perfectly – the good, bad and the ugly. A perfect book to escape from reality for a while. This is my first book by either author and I will definitely be reading their other books.
A raccoon ball of fun. This Sweet, quirky, steamy romance is a delight to read. Laugh out loud fun. Happy Cat, is full of characters that make your day. Add this as a light hearted beach read.
Cassie agrees to help her sister, Savannah out after she finds out her husband betrayed her in a way she couldn’t even put in words, well she did with a big banner but Savannah needs to leave to try to find herself again. Cassie doesn’t know the first thing about running a sex toy factory, she tries her best especially since she has never even had sex before. Then she runs into the boy she hates after a highschool incident that mortified her, but firefighter Ryan O’Dell has become a man who she can’t take her eyes off of but she still hates him even if she has to keep doing a note to self in her own mind.
Ryan is not sure what he did to Cassie but he sure wants to change her opinion and fast. There is something about Cassie that has Ryan looking at a possible future with her and his raccoon side kick George. All is going well on fixing the past when someone becomes intent on destroying the sex toy factory and Cassie while they are at it. Can Ryan figure it out while keeping Cassie safe before the town jumps in and tries to run her out of town?
This was a pure delight to read. Hilarious through out and George the raccoon is a great asset to the story. Cassie is a lot of fun and what I liked about this story is the way you can visualize everything from the details about clothes to the town folk and their gossiping ways. So glad someone recommended this, well worth picking this up.
Great to read this book.
Cassie returns to the town of Happy Cat to take care of her sisters sex toy factory while she is out of town. Unfortunately she is extremely uncomfortable with sexy toys, probably because she is still a virgin. She also is living next to her high school crush who is now a very hot firefighter, and has a cute pet raccoon.
I am not usually a rom-com person but I really loved this one. It was hilarious from the beginning and I laughed out loud quite a few times. Cassie and Ryan have great chemistry and both have a quirky sense of humor. I loved that Cassie learns to embrace her sexual side and become comfortable around sex toys. Ryan was a supportive and protective hero, which was sweet but it also got him into some trouble. I really enjoyed watching these two fall in love and be quirky together.
My favorite part of this book had to be George Clooney though. That raccoon was hilarious and crazy. I just couldn’t help but fall in love with him. Also I really want a pet raccoon because I think they are adorable.
This was fun
I liked this, the beginning was slow but it really went well further in to the story.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good and fun dialogues
I like the small town vibe that’s both bad and very good.
Sizzling chemistry between the Cassie and Ryan that builds to something solid.
4 solid stars
A fun mystery within a town of quirky characters where love and gossip rule.
Super funny
Entertaining
Loved this book! The comedy and the story went well together.
Hilarious
I’ve never read the LV half of this duo but PG’s books are some of the funniest I’ve ever read. This book is hilarious but also had quite a burning emotion. I’m hoping that this is set up for a series because this town is definitely one I want to visit again

Small Town | Romantic Comedy | Interconnected Standalones
Romantic Comedies are among my favorite types of books. I love a book that will not only charm me but make me laugh out loud. In my pursuit of finding the next great romcom I stumbled upon this series by Pippa Grant and Lili Valente and all my wishes came true! This is one heck of a funny book. George Cooney stole the show, but I did love the main characters too. This book is a small town, neighbors to lovers, romantic comedy. The hero is a sexy firefighter and the heroine is a gamer girl (yes, they are COMPLETE OPPOSITES). While they may not appear to fit together, they truly are DESTINED to be together. Their chemistry is off the charts and the way they fall in love is swoony! I enjoyed this one immensely and recommend it to all romantic comedy fans!
PS: If you’re wondering who George Cooney is, he’s a trash bandit. A racoon. One who enjoys playing with dildos, eating penis lollipops, and scavenging for clues. He’s smart than your average coon and clearly fits in well with the people of Happy Cat! I hope to see much more of him in the future!
KU. It’s OTT funny, but that’s what I enjoy about Pippa Grant (and now I have a new author to stalk, uh follow, in Lili Valente).
The MCs Ryan & Cassie are adorable. The angst is low and doesn’t drag on forever and childishly which is great. George Cooney is perfectly precocious and literally saves the day.
The Ryan & Cassie’s siblings as well as the rest of the townspeople round out a varied and fun cast of characters. I’m hoping there’s a sequel in the works because we’re definitely left wondering about the sparks flying between Jace & Olivia.
I had gotten stuck in a book rut. I didn’t want to read anything I picked up….Till this book. It broke my rut. It was such a funny, happy, sexy, love story. I wanted it to go on for awhile longer. I find myself reading till the last page. Getting every bit of the story I could. THANK YOU for writing such a great book. I’m looking forward to reading Jace’s story.
