The world’s sexiest firefighter is about to get a second chance with the virgin next door… virgin gamer geek suddenly in charge of running my sister’s sex toy factory. Too bad both are written in my stars.
Yeah, I’m the world’s oldest virgin code-writing nerd.
And he’s the world’s hottest firefighter.
And even though he intimidates the heck out of me, I can’t seem to control my libido when he’s around.
Where is my dignity? My self-respect? My panties?
Seriously…. Have you seen them? Anyone?
Maybe they’re hiding in his bedroom. With my heart.
Yeah, I know. I’m hosed.
So hosed.
Hosed is a steamy, fun romantic comedy between a firefighter and the virgin nerd next door, complete with a pet raccoon, scandalous gossip, and dildo football. (No, really.) This romance has no cheating or cliffhangers, and ends with a banging hot happily ever after.

This book brings the heat and the sweet. Wow, what a duo these authors make! I so very much enjoyed the classic hilarity and snark of a great Pippa Grant book along with the sweet and spicy talents of Lili Valente. This book was such a marriage of all my favorite things. All this fun starts out in a quiet southern town that is up in arms about a sex toy factory’s presence in their neighborhood. Cassie is the shy gamer girl that has to return to the town where she grew up to help straighten out her sister’s crazy life. She is completely out of her element when she is asked to step in and run her sister’s factory. To make matter’s worse, she finds that her neighbor is the boy that crushed her heart in high school. Ryan is not a boy anymore, but a hot firefighter now, and is determined to make her his. Complete with a crime fighting raccoon, and an explosion of sex toys, the story will melt your heart and your panties all at the same time. This is the perfect read for a cold winter day.
What a terrific writing duo!
Hosed is the story of Cassie, Ryan and the small town of Happy Cat!
This story is so, so funny! This story also has a lot swooniness and steaminess! The perfect combo!
From George Clooney, to Satan’s sex juice to Google Fu you will get the laughter that you need and a bit of mystery and drama to boot. I loved reading the InstaChat of the town!
Cassie is trying hard to cover for her absentee sister in running the Sunshine Toys. The adult toy company is the talk of the town, for both supporters and people against it. Cassie has always been the wallflower, the computer nerd who hasn’t the first clue on the products she is currently in charge of manufacturing and selling.
Ryan is a firefighter….need I say more? He is also the man who unwittingly broke Cassie’s heart back in high school. A bad case of miscommunication was the only mistake on his part.
The chemistry between Ryan and Cassie is hotter than the flames that erupt during their first meeting.
The flow of this story is phenomenal, I couldn’t differentiate between Pippa and Lili’s writing and that’s a sign of a dynamic writing duo!
I am hoping with the clues left in this story that there may be more to come from the residents of Happy Cat! I will keep my fingers crossed!
Well done ladies, well done!
Hosed by Pippa Grant and Lili Valente is a fun, quirky, contemporary, small town, second chance, romantic comedy told in dual POV. It features the relationship between Cassie Sunderwell, a virgin code-writing nerd, and Ryan O’Dell, the hot firefighter who lives next door.
Cassie moves from San Francisco back home to Happy Cat, Georgia, to run her sister Savannah’s sex toy business while Savannah is abroad recovering from the humiliation and gossip surrounding her divorce. Cassie’s not pleased when she discovers that Ryan, the boy who broke her heart in high school, still lives in town. She’s even more frustrated to find that he’s sexier than ever and lives right next door.
Ryan responds to a fire at the Sunshine Sex Toys factory and butts heads with Cassie. Although he finds something about her familiar and intriguing, he doesn’t recognize her until he hears her name. Ryan has fond memories of Cassie, so he’s shocked to learn that she has hated him since high school, and determines to find out why so that he can fix it.
In the meantime, one disaster after another keeps happening at Sunshine Toys and, for those opposed to having a sex toy factory in town, is only serving as ammunition in their fight to shut down the business. There’s even a rumor that the Sunderwell sisters are causing these accidents for financial gain.
Is someone really trying to sabotage Sunshine Toys? Will the business be forced to shut down? Will the townsfolk run Cassie out of Happy Cat? Will Ryan earn her forgiveness? Will he and Cassie be able to make it through all the crazy drama? Read the book to find out!
I loved Cassie and Ryan’s story! From a lube fire to dildo football to the antics of George Cooney the pet racoon, this book is filled with wacky laugh-out-loud moments. It’s steamy, romantic, and heart-warming enough to bring out all the emotions. I enjoyed all the characters so much! I’m hoping to see more of them, particularly Ryan’s brothers, in upcoming books. Wild, hilarious, endearing, sweet, sexy and fun – I highly recommend it!

Lots of humorous situations in this romance.
4.5
Very good humorous romance with a little suspense, maybe a little predictable, but what characters! They are hilarious because of the situations in which they find themselves. Not to mention the unusual element of the character of Georges Cooney, the domestic (or almost) raccoon of the main character that is the fireman Ryan.
Cassie takes over the sex toy factory of her sister who left to recover from her divorce because her husband was cheating with … .. let’s just say it is better to leave the surprise to other readers.
Anyway, Cassie is left with a factory a little embarrassing in the center of a small city that oscillates between the conversatism and the freedom of women. Added to this, is the fact that she is very embarrassed by the production and everything related to sex, that she is still a virgin at age of 25, with a very geek side that has so far limited her contacts with men, apart from the net. As soon as she begins to replace her sister, the company is the victim of a rather suspicious lubricant explosion 🙂
Her neighbor is her former high school secret crush, Ryan. Very quickly they get closer, but the incidents multiply put into the question the innocence of Cassie and her sister.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Should come with a warning label!
This book tickled my fancy! I loved everything about it! I lost count of the times I genuinely laughed out loud, chuckled, snorted, cackled, grinned, and fell in love. Don’t think this book is all style and no substance, though! For every smile, there is real heat and emotion at work here. Cassie and Ryan’s personal journey was sweet and romantic but filled with many poignant moments that gave me all the feels. This book ticked all the boxes for me!
Crazy good book! I so enjoyed this book about small towns, crazy townsfolk, a sex toy factory & a pet trash panda!
Well all I can say is Lili and Pippa nailed it! These two authors together are what RomCom dreams are made of!! They certainly made a magic story together set in this quirky little town of Happy Cat.
And speaking of magic, Cassie & Ryan, aka nerdy video game coder girl and sexy firefighter, sure put a spell on me from the get-go. I am all about their relationship and everywhere it takes them. Not to mention George, the COOLEST PET EVER, who had me laughing so hard with all his antics. This story is cute, sweet and oh so funny and left me with a smile stuck on my face. There are some outrageous and crazy things going on in this town as well as lots of laughs and some hot sexy times courtesy of Cassie and Ryan who I absolutely love everything about. The way he stands up for her is amazing! Everything required for a fantabulous RomCom!!! I hope we get more from these ladies and from Happy Cat!!!
Another awesome book by Pipps Grant and my first for Lila so now I’ll have to check out her other books. In keeping with Pippa’s other books this one grabs you from the 1st page and is zany enough to keep you up all night reading. Never would I have expected a domesticated raccoon, sex toy company & nerdy computer geek but as usual they pulled it off in top fashion. Who would have thought you could have a raccoon that’s totally domesticated and he has a jealous streak?? The story of Ryan and Cassie is sweet – he takes it easy with her since she’s a virgin but they heat up quick once they get together. It’s a wonderful quirky that can’t decide if they like having a sex toy company in their little town or if they just want to protest and make noise about it. Either way it’s a great town that always has your back.
Great book with lots of laughing, snorting & giggling!
Cassie is a 26 year old gaming geek and a virgin. Her sister Savannah leaves her in charge of her sex toy company after Savannah catches her husband in a compromising situation and leaves the country to find herself. Ryan is Cassie’s new neighbor. He is a hot fireman, and also the boy that broke her heart in high school. This is a great RomCom with a zany cast of characters (including Ryan’s pet raccoon). I hope the authors continue to work together to tell Ryan’s brothers’ stories. I was given an ARC of this book by the author for my honest review.
I need to start this review by saying it’s been a long time since my last over the top book. Yet somehow this story and this town with its crazy people that live in it was just what the doctor prescribed to cure the new-year’s hangover 🙂
Cassie and Ryan were such a interesting couple to get to know. I loved how they navigated their relationship in this small town where everybody know what everybody is doing. This book was a quick, flirtatious, quirky and steamy read for sure.
I loved the banter between the characters. The fact that Cassie is taking care of her sister company while being shy around all the products that the company produces was funny as hell. I loved the crazy side characters and I’m hoping we’ll be read about them more in the future.
This book will have you laughing out loud even though you’ll be thinking now that was too much.

4.5 Cranky Stars
It started with a lube fire at the adult toy factory next came a racoon named George Cooney (genius use of the name BTW) and then there was understanding. Also, sexy times and love sweet love.
Cassie had a life back in San Francisco. She was part of a group of game coders. Her life was gaming and she took pride that she was nerd. When her sister calls with an emergency from Happy Cat, Georgia she runs back home to salvage her sister’s life while she flees to Europe. It’s here that Cassie learns she has to run the town adult toy factory. She’s very shy about sex since in her words she’s the oldest living virgin. When a wayward racoon brings Ryan to her yard she is livid and can’t believe he doesn’t remember what he did to her in high school many years ago. Slowly but surely, they come to an understanding then that’s when the sparks fly unless George Cooney falls from a fan well then that puts a damper on things. Her life isn’t all adult toys and falling in love someone is out to trash Sunshine Toys name and frame her and her sister for it. She needs everyone in her corner to overcome this mess.
Ryan will always be a protector. It’s his instinct so it’s only natural he’s a fireman. His life is good sheltered but good. He has dreams of seeing the world but can’t imagine leaving his family and George behind. When a commotion next door at his neighbor’s house brings him face to face with his greatest regret he realizes this is his chance. Now if only he can remember what he did to make Cassie hate him. He works his way into her heart and explains what happened in the past. They forge a bond especially when half the town is divided about having Sunshine Toys in town and someone is trying to frame Cassie for it.
I laughed out loud for a good portion of this book. I mean come on dildo football In town square? Bikes with dilido handlebars? My inner 14 year old boy was dying laughing. I like that Cassie was a nerd and proud. No hiding behind her glasses or books or in her case her games. Granted she wasn’t miss social butterfly neither and with that I could relate to her. Ryan is the ultimate book boyfriend. My list is growing by leaps and bounds at this point. He was just good and sexy and had a trash panda. George Cooney you stole the show and some questionable items from trash cans. I really enjoyed this book and I wonder if we will see more of the O’Dell brothers in future books. Please??
