Ken Follett and the intrigue of World War II—“a winning formula” (Entertainment Weekly) if ever there was one. With his riveting prose and unerring instinct for suspense, the #1 New York Times bestselling author takes to the skies over Europe during the early days of the war in a most extraordinary novel. . . . It is June 1941, and the war is not going well for England. Somehow, the Germans are … England. Somehow, the Germans are anticipating the RAF’s flight paths and shooting down British bombers with impunity. Meanwhile, across the North Sea, eighteen-year-old Harald Olufsen takes a shortcut on the German-occupied Danish island of Sande and discovers an astonishing sight. He doesn’t know what it is, but he knows he must tell someone. And when he learns the truth, it will fall upon him to deliver word to England—except that he has no way to get there. He has only an old derelict Hornet Moth biplane rusting away in a ruined church—a plane so decrepit that it is unlikely to ever get off the ground . . . even if Harald knew how to fly it.

I have loved all of Ken Follets books. I just wish he would write more of them. They are all excellent
Follett great as usual
Good, but not great. I know it’s fiction but some of the decisions the characters make would have had the off the playing field in a thrice. Whatever a thrice is. Just kidding…. About the thrice.
Excellent!
Took a long time to develop
I’m a great fan of K. Follett. Hornet Flight is a fast-paced WWII thriller – Danish folks getting involved in the Resistance against Nazis,
Rather a slow book but extremely well written. Loved it.
Excellent story of the Nazi occupation of Norway and the way it affected the lives of the book’s characters. Easy to read and very interesting story of early WW 2.
Seems to be one of Follett’s lesser-known novels. A little story of two Danish teens who resists the Nazi occupiers and aid the Allies; it’s good, Follett stuff. A quick and thoroughly-enjoyable read.
An outstanding story of courage during WWII. A unique young man who is very intelligent and creative in his battle against the Nazis. One of Follett’s best stories.
A great read.
great writer
Very interesting history about the Nazi’s take over of Denmark. There was a resistance to the Nazi that helped the Allies.
Not up to usual standard
Not the best Ken Follett book but still a good read about the War Era and the people that tried to make a difference. Very entertaining.
I usually like Ken Follett’s books but didn’t care for this one. It jumped around so much that I had a hard time following it
An enjoyable read about the Danish Resistance in WWII. Informative and fast-paced, it kept me involved and cheering for the young hero. The characters were well drawn and believable. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys learning about the human cost of WWII.
Always a good author
Not a “Pillars of the Earth” But s good read nevertheless.
Interesting with a World war II story talong place in Danmark.
