The epic conclusion to Ann Aguirre’s USA Today bestselling trilogy. The horde is coming. Salvation is surrounded, monsters at the gates, and this time, they’re not going away. When Deuce, Fade, Stalker and Tegan set out, the odds are against them. But the odds have been stacked against Deuce from the moment she was born. She might not be a Huntress anymore, but she doesn’t run. With her knives in … doesn’t run. With her knives in hand and her companions at her side, she will not falter, whether fighting for her life or Fade’s love.
Ahead, the battle of a lifetime awaits. Freaks are everywhere, attacking settlements, setting up scouts, perimeters, and patrols. There hasn’t been a war like this in centuries, and humans have forgotten how to stand and fight. Unless Deuce can lead them.
This time, however, more than the fate of a single enclave or outpost hangs in the balance. This time, Deuce carries the banner for the survival of all humanity.

Excellent series
The Razorland Series is, without a shred of doubt, one of the absolute best post-apocalyptic series that I have ever read. This series truly moved me. Most other dystopian books in this grain pale in comparison. First off, the story is original. There is nothing more refreshing than reading something that has a unique aspect on the genre that you love so much. Secondly, the characters are interesting and well developed. There is sufficient background information and personality in each character to make you feel like these are real people. That you know these people from the inside out. Thirdly, the world in which Aguirre has created is so vividly described that you feel as though you are living it right along with the characters that you love so much. Lastly, twist in the story, that makes it what it is, isn’t obvious from the get-go. It is something that gradually surfaces and that makes it so much more intriguing. I have wanted to read this series for a while. I picked up all three books from my local library and just could not put them down. I will definitely be purchasing these books now and showing support for an author that is now among one of my favorites. I highly recommend that you pick up this series. You will not be disappointed.
In Horde, Aguirre fills in the missing pieces, gives us hope, breaks our hearts, and wraps everything up with an ending that dwells in our hearts. The story continues in Horde with Deuce fighting for her life and for those that she loves against the Freaks that have been trying to dominate all that is left of humanity. Deuce forms a small band of men and women that have pledged to defend against the horde of Freaks. Deuce and her team travel from settlement to settlement to try and recruit people to their cause. They are met with mostly rejection. Little by little their numbers grow. Dubbed Company D by the men and women that joined, they take up to securing the trade lines that connect the settlements. Victory after victory brings the Freaks in larger numbers. A settlement of Freaks is discovered and their numbers are beyond reckoning. A final battle ensues along with the help of some unlikely allies. The battle was theirs, though they lost many friends along the way. I loved the ending of Horde. It is the kind of ending that settle in your heart and you feel it for days and weeks after you are finished reading. My hat is off to you, Deuce. And to you, Ann Aguirre!
As with any end to a dystopian trilogy, there is loss in this book. Loss in abundance. People we’ve grown to know and care about or at least tolerate for their role in the dynamic are lost to us and I felt those losses as deeply as Deuce did. At one particular loss, it took me a bit to get back into the story, I felt the loss that greatly. We also make new friends, find new places and discover new talents in our motley crew of characters. I enjoyed watching Deuce grow into the woman she’s become, but also watching Fade recover and rediscover his own strength and watching Stalker see the error of his youth and try to make amends. I thought the ending was believable and I love any book that fast forwards a bit past the end, so that you can see more than just imagine the lives after the drama that was the story. Aguirre did a great job with this series and I really enjoyed it.
