Single Mother- ✔ Dead Father- ✔Motherless Childhood- ✔Librarian- ✔Black Rimmed Glasses to Fit the Job Description- ✔The Biggest A-hole in the World for an Ex- ✔✔When you’re born you never know what life will throw at you. You just make the best of it no matter what happens. That’s pretty much been my go-to since infancy. Then the charming, bald headed, blue eyed, Brent came along and I thought … eyed, Brent came along and I thought all the suck in life had been flushed down the drain. Ha! That’s when my true journey began—motherhood.
This is my story, on how I took life by the go-nads when I decided I needed closure from my past—my father’s sudden death in particular. But what happens next wasn’t anything I expected… It’s hopeless… shattering….exciting … scary…joyful…priceless… and I owe it all to one man… Bear, a chapter president of the Sacred Sinners Motorcycle Club.

I wanted to start off by saying that this is one of my top favorite MC authors. Each and every book I have read by her I absolutely loved. For those of you she is not and author to be missed especially if your a MC book lover. After reading about Bink and Big who is their national club president I never would have thought I would have a new favorite couple but, Kat and Brent’s aka Ryker are it.
Once I started reading this story I could not put it down and I was glued to the pages the entire time. Brent aka Ryker and Kat and their tumultuous relationship just broke your heart as to the unfairness of it all. This story brought out so many emotions in me one minute you were laughing and the next you felt like crying for the emotional turmoil Kat was going through while pregnant. My heart went out for her as she was an emotional wreck and had me one too!One betrayal after another for this women had you wondering how she deserved it all when she was just the sweetest kindest person ever.
Omg ! Kat’s arrival to the club house full of bikers partying was just priceless.I laughed through the entire scene of it all and is one of my favorite parts of the story.
I always pick a favorite character in the story I read and mine is going to be Kat.I loved Kat from the onset of the story and found Kat to be love-able,caring,funny,sweet,and had a amazing sense of humor.I found her tough as nails.I loved how she was brave and a survivor also so strong and determined, feisty and very protective of those she loved while being an amazing single mom and a mother to be.
Kat’s story kept you glued to the pages as their was just so much drama going on around her and omg ! as the drama unfolded secret after secret were exposed and also one hell of an explosive encounter with the your long lost love you never ever expected to see again. Here was the man who left her a broken and aching for the only thing she ever wanted bringing up all those old wounds that never healed.8 years is not nearly enough to heal one’s broken heart…I have so say I love the kick names she had for Ryker she made me laugh every time she used one.To funny when you know she is a librarian and just can’t picture the things that come out of her mouth she really is just priceless.
Kade he was a favorite of mine I loved him.I found Kade to be sweet ,kind,love-able,protective,smart,sexy, a bit of a jokester, funny as hell as well as dangerous and lethal and would stop at nothing to protect those he loves.Kat became his best friend the instant they met . I loved how protective he became of her .I fell in love with him the moment he took Kat under his wing and protection and from that moment on she never felt she was not loved or unwanted in anyway.Love Love Loved him for being so generous and kind.At this point I was secretly hoping she would fall for Kade at some point as he would have been perfect for her.
I really loved all the characters as they were engaging and funny and just so love-able with the exception of Vanessa as I wanted to scratch her eyes out on Kat’s behalf.Bear is their president of the Sacred Sinners and Ghost is their VP . Omg! they were so cute together and funny as hell they just melted my heart. Kade made me fall in love with him.Holy Hotness! Ryker Holy Hotness! Total Stud no matter his faults total swoon worthy but also a character you love to hate.
I loved Thanksgiving dinner it was intense as well as comical.Kat thinking of her past Thanksgiving with Brent aka Ryker was totally hot.The chemistry these too have is explosive. The sexual encounters between this couple was off the charts hot hot and hotter! “Holy smokes!”Loved the dressing down she gave Vanessa it really was priceless and summed her life up in a few brief sentences .
Another favorite scene would be Kat’s talk with Bear and Ghost while they ironed things out about how things came about and why they happened the way the did but, what unfolded after the talk with Bear and Ghost had me laughing and laughing and laughing.Priceless!
Ryker the love of Kat’s life caused me to have so many mixed emotions about him.I loved him and hated him at the same time. I wanted to slap him upside the head for all the pain he caused Kat past and present. Ryker is mystery and has made one bad choice after another when it came to Kat and their kids but, never once did I think that he never loved or cared for Kat as he loved her with his whole heart just made really bad choices where she was concerned. How does one leave their soul-mate and leave without a backwards glance yet, say in your next breath it’s only be you and every been you?Heart wrenching right?Do I understand his reasons for leaving her yes but, he made the wrong choice to walk away from their life and children he created with Kat .
I have to say that this series really started off with a bang. The story brought tears to your eyes as well as laughs and tons of drama as well as excitement.Even though the story was filled with ton of emotion as it was plain that Ryker and Kat’s heart were breaking and were still very much in love there was enough lightheartedness to break things up a bit.For me one of the best parts of the story was the friendship that developed between Kat and Kade.I loved seeing smiles on Kat’s face their bantering back and forth and their constant teasing of one another but, most of all they could tell each other anything and everything and speak their mind and know the other would just get them.Who doesn’t need a Kade in their life?
We loved the story from cover to cover and everything in between.
5 amazing stars from us
I was saving this book for a couple reasons one was that I was told many, many times how emotional and heart breaking the story was and two because I don’t care for kids or pregnant people in my stories; but because the author is the author I knew I wanted to read it anyway. I saved it for when I needed a great story. Anyway, fast forward and I decided to read it this week.
And… frankly I didn’t enjoy the story at all and not for the reasons I thought. I didn’t find this story emotional at all, even knowing what is going to happen in then next two books. I am not a mother so that might me my issues here. I wasn’t surprised as to the other issues the character has to deal with and because of the structure of the story (the way it was written/presented?) I had no connection to the characters and didn’t care about them or their feelings at all. Also the kids were fine and not really that impactful to the story (IMO).
Is the story good? Yes, I see a lot of protentional and I will be reading the rest of this trilogy. It just didn’t live up to the expectations I had for it, the characters or the author. I know you cannot love every book an authors writes so I guess this one is my one. Still glad I read it, and I would still recommend it to others, it just won’t be one I re-read. Middle of the road for me.
Hopelessly Shattered by Bink Cummings is the first book in the Sacred Sinners Motorcycle Club that I listened to on audio narrated by Kylie Stewart and Eric Rolon.
All I can say is Wow! Bink did an amazing job with this storyline. I couldn’t wait to know how the story was going to end. I cannot wait to dive into the second book Hopeful Whispers.
Kylie and Eric did an amazing job on the Duet Narration! I absolutely love these two together. I hope to listen to more of their work in the future.

Kat thought her father was dead until a Facebook message from Bear asks her to meets him in person.
Leaving her daughters with her mother she has no idea
her past is now part of her future.
I enjoyed listening to this audio book, The narrators were fabulous.
I’m eager for the next instalment.
This is a great start to the MC series. Loved all the twist to this one. So looking forward to the next one . So many questions and can not wait to see how Bink will answer them. Mini-cliffhanger but so worth the read.
So many heartbreaks and a mystery that needs answered are brought to the front in this book. Kat is such a strong character to deal with so much loss and be able to raise her daughters basically by herself (with a bit of moms help) and she finally finds some answers to her questions, heartbreaking as they may be. You get a happy for now ending with this book. I will definitely be looking into the next in this series.
4.5 stars
Kat is a single mum. It seems like every man she’s ever loved has left her….leaving her with a load of unanswered questions. So when she gets a phone call promising her answers, she jumps on a plane with no idea what she’s walking into.
I loved Kat. She’s strong, feisty, independent and sassy. She rolls with the punches but she’s far from a walk over.
I found this book a lot more emotional than Binks other books. I really related to Kat, a proud mama that will always put her kids first even when she’s dying inside, and I was praying she was gonna get the ending she so deserved.
A fantastic book with brilliant characters that’s left me impatiently waiting for more.
Wow, this was a never want to put it down book. Loved it. I love the characters. Bink is a great author.
Some authors having a writing style that truly captivates your attention from page one. Or their words make you feel as though you are along for the ride. Bink is one of the authors that does both. This book is about a single mother named Kat who takes you on her journey seeking answers about her father’s death. You see she’s living the life she’s been dealt with but it hasn’t always been easy as we all know life isn’t. She finds sometimes the answers don’t end up the way she thinks and might be more than bargained for. So hop on for an emotional ride you don’t want to miss. You won’t be disappointed. Though the ending did make me want to throw my kindle as I wasn’t ready for it to end. I was left wanting more. An awesome read!!! Received an ARC copy from author for a honest review.
Kat is a feisty single mom with two girls and pregnant chasing down some crazy lead about her supposed to be dead father. What she finds instead is a lot of nuttiness with drama to boot. Kade is a scene stealer! Loved it!

Just WOW!!! Hopelessly Shattered is not your typical MC read. This book has a heart breaking story with a fearless woman named Kat. There is love, cheating, fighting, exceptional characters and all the good stuff to keep you reading. This is the first book of a trilogy that won’t let you down. Way to go Bink!!!!
Hopelessly Shattered is a quick read, I read it in one sitting (well I did have the occasional interruption by my offspring)
For a relatively short story it’s packed full, keeps you fully engaged and leaves you begging for more when it’s over.
I loved Kat, she’s so freaking strong. Mom of two with one on the way walks into a biker clubhouse to find out info on her dad only to come face to face with not one but two people from her past who lied to her. Not just little lies, life altering lies, so you can imagine the strain that an put on a body. But her mouth, Lord I loved it. Shutting up is not in her vocabulary, she’s going to get pissed an tell you like it is even if your a big burly biker.
I can’t say more without giving something away, this book literally has a bit of everything. Heartbreak, inner strength, love, loss, regret, secrets, lies, humor and an extremely healthy dose of Alpha male.
I adored some of the characters, others I made me wanna slap a hoe.
Then there’s the end, that just couldn’t be right, my copy had to be missing another chapter yea? But sadly no, the end truly was the end and it left me ready to beg for the next book.
If you follow my reviews you know I’ve read just about everything this authors written and I always end up loving them. Hopelessly Shattered is no different, though it left me screaming at my kindle I know eventually were gonna get more of these characters, their story is not over.
