Logan “Storm” Chambers is no stranger to pain. Suffering through loss after loss has left him a shell of the man he used to be. He’s unable to move on but he’s learned to survive. As the VP of the Bayou Devils MC, he finds solace in the work they do to rescue people from dire situations and it’s enough to keep the lurking darkness at bay. Just barely. After being cheated on by her ex, Alison … Alison James isn’t interested in dating. It’s more hassle than it’s worth as far as she’s concerned and she’d much rather focus on getting ahead in her career anyway. There’s less of a chance of getting hurt that way. But when her mysterious neighbor barges into her life, Alison finds it hard to stay away.
Alison brings a spark of light to Logan’s life and he will do whatever it takes to hang on to her, but there are some things that are just out of his hands. His past rears its ugly head, putting Alison in danger and thrusting Logan into a hell he thought he had escaped years ago.
Can Logan force himself to let Alison go if it will save her life? Or will she become just another loss he has to endure?

A great read about pain. Alison James has had enough of men after her boss sends her on terrible dates for a promotion. When a neighbour’s dog crashes into her, her life is turned around with Logan Storm Chambers who is struggling with his past. Will Logan be able to look forward from the trauma of his past for a new future with Alison?
A great readm well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Logans harsh exterior but kind and protective nature underneath or Alison struggling with her feelings whilst also standing up for herself. Great supporting cast of fun friends like Carly and Izzy. I loved the sense of the bikers being one large family that looks out for one another.
I also loved the visual detail throughout the novel like the colourful office of purples and whites full of life and people. The love of writing was a lovely touch and beautifully written. Or the detail of the restaurants as full of life and people but also uncomfortable which was perfectly written.
The switch of perspectives in the narrative was great for both sides of events but was sometimes hard to follow. The use of texts and letters in the narrative was a brillaint creative addition and added to story. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.
Wowzas!! To say this book delivers all possible emotions might just be an understatement. The author does a fantastic job weaving suspense and romance. The plot is believable and wonderfully layered. I found myself smiling and yelling at the main characters and cringing and crying… I just absolutely love this book from AM Myers and cannot wait to read more in this series. I’m hooked!
Hopelessly Devoted, Bayou Devils MC, Book One by A.M. Myers. This book was right up my alley. I am definitely a MC fan. I have read other books by this author and loved them and I knew that this book would be great.
I absolutely fell in love with Storm aka Logan…. he was dark and edgy but when he loved he was extremely fierce. Ali has been burned in the past so it takes a while for her to open up her head and heart to Logan. When things start happening around and to Alison, Logan thinks he brought his past back to the future. Will Logan be able to protect her or is he going to lose his heart again?
This was my first book by this author and it pulled me in from page one. This book was fast paced, dramatic with touches of suspense. Storm meets Ali after his dog Bear attacks her he helps her in her house and cleans her up. His back and forth on weather he likes her or not and she thinks he’s flakey. Ali is a sweetheart and im glad that she sticks with him even when he lets her down. Cant wait too see whats next.
Hopelessly Devoted to you by A.M. Myers is book one of the Bayou Devils MC series. I had previously read other books in this series before reading this book but I liked them so much I had to start at the beginning. This book has it all!
I am so glad I decided to read this book. It took me on a roller coaster of emotions. I swooned. I was mad. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest. There was definitely a lot of suspense mixed into the storyline and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and wow I did not see that coming!
Alison is tired of being complacent. She’s tired of dealing with a job she used to love. She finally decides it’s time to make a stand. She knew it was going to cost her the job but she wasn’t too concerned about that. However, that day changed her life in more than one way.
Storm has dealt with more pain than he’d ever want to deal with. After meeting Alison, he’s not sure he is willing to make himself susceptible to that kind of pain again. He’s not sure he can walk away even if he knows that’s what’s best.
I absolutely loved this book. I loved Storm and Ali’s connection. I loved how they interacted. Ali is so strong and independent but realizes when she can’t take it all on by herself. While trust isn’t easy for her, when it comes it Storm she didn’t totally disregard him or the situation. She allowed herself to be open to possibilities. I want to be Ali when I grow up. I love this book and I highly recommend it!
Hopelessly Devoted (Bayou Devils MC #1)
By A.M. Myers
Rated 5 stars
This is a great book if you like alpha men and strong women. The story was enthralling. I could hardly put this book down. I was happy and sad and even had a few tears. The characters had some depth to them. Issues problems from their pasts that seem to interfere with their current life.
Logan and Alison together are so great but it takes an act of God to get them there. Logan/Storm is….exactly what she needs. OMG How Storm/Logan acted at the photo shoot! Can someone act more alpha than that?? WOWZER! That was hot! Possessive much? Yet i can’t imagine him any different. I love that when Logan is touching Alison he always is pulling her into him like he can’t get close enough to her.
Alison thinks she is doing everything right but yet things seem to go wrong for her. She has many days where everything seems to be going wrong. Then she meet Logan on one of her worst days. Sparks fly and they are both dazed by the attraction. It seems once they move forward together Logan keeps taking steps back.
I love love loved most of the prologue!! I really “felt” the love that had for each other! I was super shocked at the end of that chapter. And horrified for Logan.
This is not my first book in this series. I have read the second and third in this series. I’m
Not sure what took me so long to read this. It was nice to read the beginning and see some of the characters before they had their “other” half. We also got to see Nic and Emma from this authors Hidden Scars book. That was great! I love crossovers like that!
Hopefully we will be seeing more of this crew.
Hopelessly Devoted (Bayou Devils MC Book 1)

Hopelessly hooked! With the first book in this new MC series for A.M. Myers, she’s pulled me in again. With riveting characters, lots of action, a bit of suspense and tons of emotions Hopelessly Devoted is an all-around great book.
Logan “Storm” Chambers is the VP of the Bayou Devils MC. Although his life has been riddled with the pain of loss, he finds a purpose in the work that the MC does. He’s only a shell of the man that he used to be but with the MC he’s able to keep the darkness at bay.
Ali Jameson is over the whole “dating” thing. After the last debacle of her ex, she’s content to just concentrate on moving up the work ladder. Until a run in with the sexy-as-sin neighbor has her reconsidering those life goals.
Be prepared for a wild ride that will have you laughing at Ali’s antics and crying over ‘Storms’ pain. Action that will keep you guessing and a cast of characters that will have you longing for more time with them. This book is extremely well written and will keep you entertained from the first page to the last. I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series!
Hopelessly Devoted written by A.M. Meyers is Bayou Devil’s MC book 1. Alison and Izzy are probably one of my favorite book best friends with their hilarious back and forth bickering and joking. All the stuff they have been through together makes things friendship more special. And then there’s Logan who’s been through a lot and I just wanna cry for him and everything he’s been through. Then there’s the moment they meet and I catch myself thinking maybe everything will be okay. This story takes you on a ride and your emotions go up and down but in a way that you just think wow.
“Alison James, you should know by now that I’ll give you absolutely anything you want. You only have to ask.”
If you regularly follow my reviews, you’ll know that I LOVE MC stories! There’s just something about watching these powerful, loyal, brutally honest men show their soft spot for the people they care about. Also, action and intrigue almost always follow close on the heels of love.
From the moment I met Storm (Logan), I wanted, no I needed him to find love. No person deserves a heartache like that without a chance for his heart to heal. “The quiet was the loudest thing I’ve ever heard…” He has faced so much and if that didn’t break my heart, his whole story did.
When Alison falls into his life, I was so excited! She’s fiercely independent, which I knew would clash, but in all the best ways. When Alison finds herself in a spot of trouble, the story took a turn for the worse and I was worried things wouldn’t end the way I needed them to! And when Logan finally told her his story, my heart was breaking for him, and for her. I wasn’t sure if she would be able to truly accept him. But, wowza, “I think under the right circumstances, anyone can temporarily become a monster but you have a good heart. I think the fact that you still feel this guilt over what you did means that you aren’t the monster you seem to think you are”
I wasn’t expecting a whole lot from this book when I first downloaded it. I hadn’t heard much about it, but the blurb sounded interesting and I gave it a go! Now I’m headed into the rest of the series, because if Carly & Izzy don’t get their story I might cry!
This is a MC book about Storm. Ali comes in later. She’s a talented writer and leaves next door. One day Storms dog busts over and knocks Ali down. As soon as he sees her he knows she’s his. But he has a troubled past and has lost someone before. Can he get over himself and show Ali what a true man should be. Twists and turns… sex and stalkers couldn’t have asked for anything more. While MC is not my favorite genre, I love a good story and this was a good story.
Hopelessly devoted by A.M. Myers a devoted five-star read. It’s the first story in the Bayou Devils MC series, and what a first story. It really does kick off with a bang. A.M. Myers writes a great story its compelling and well written, the characters are developed and you can relate to them so much that you can’t help but love them all, even the big bad biker boys.
This tells the story of Logan James Chambers or by his road name in the Bayou Devils MC as he is more commonly known Storm, and Alison Marie James or Ali as she is known. It tells the story of how they meet and fall in love, but like any love story it’s not always a pretty story, or as straight forward as it should be. We have met the Bayou Devils previously in the Hidden Scars series, they used to be an MC club that had a terrible reputation, but a few years previously some stuff went down and Blaze the President got shot, and he decided to change them, into a new and improved MC club. They now help people especially women who need to get away from people that have hurt them. Storm takes this job very seriously and after his own hellish past he tries to help where ever he can, as he thinks this is the only way he can get a light into his life as he feels he will never find happiness again.
That is until his dog Bear decides to meet the neighbour, and in doing so knocks her down. Leading Storm to have to pick her up and look after her. One simple act that may change his life forever. His neighbour is Ali, and the worst day of her life starts to turn into the best as she meets Storm and he patches her up, and she becomes a light in his life that he never imagined he would see again.
I devoured this book in the quickest time possible, I have also done something I never do, I re-read immediately, after finishing, I didn’t want to leave the Bayou Devils behind.
I entered into this one because I am into MC’s lately but this one kept me in with much more than that. The characters Logan and Alison do a number on you with thanks to his dog it goes from there. What she does is interesting but it also brings drama to the table. He is hooked in being there but more than that he grows with you keeping your face in and not being able to let go at all until you devoured it all.
A.M. Meyers is a new author to me and now I cannot wait to read more. The storyline flowed beautifully, the character development was spot on, and there was plenty of humor, mystery, and suspense.
I loved Ali and Storm. Their connection was instant and mind blowing! Such a great book!
Alison “Ali” James has sworn off dating men since her cheating ex-boyfriend shredded her heart. When her boss decides she has to compete for a promotion that should be hers in the form of online dating of three “prospects” and writing an article on it, she dives right in. After having a horrible day she “meets” her hot neighbor in the form of his dog Bear tackling her and slamming her into the ground. When Alison and Logan “Storm” Chambers first meet it is electric. Storm has a past that keeps him pushing Ali away but she has never been a quitter, but unfortunately Storm isn’t the only one interested in Ali as her life takes a nightmarish turn. The only way Storm can prevent his past from coming back to haunt him is to protect the woman he never knew he couldn’t live without. Storm best may not be good enough yet again.
I wish I could give this book a million stars because it is just that good. The chemistry between Ali and Storm is off the charts hot. Their emotional connection is one for the ages. This book had me fanning myself one minute and swooning the next. The danger aspect of the story shocked me and I never would have guessed the ending. The ending left me speechless and my jaw hanging open. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series to learn more about the Bayou Devils MC, these men will warm your heart and melt your kindle. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
First of all, let me just say that if you have not read Hidden Scars, you might get a little lost. Even though this is the first of a series, I kind of feel like it should have been the second book because Hidden Scars contains some information on the characters you might want to know. That being said, for the most part, I really enjoyed this book. It was full of suspense and very steamy. I even really liked the dog, Bear. What I wasn’t too crazy about was that the main female character in the book, Ali, seems really awesome until it becomes apparent just how much danger she is really in. Then she kind of goes off the rails crazy for a short time and pushes Storm away. She just suddenly wants him to go away even though he’s trying his hardest to protect her from this psycho stalker guy. Other than that, it was a great read!
One of my favourite books to read are MC ones, I never get tired of the genre. When I saw that this story was about a MC was immediately excited because I haven’t read one for a while and this story was completely different to other MC reads. Its MC was focused on helping others and the members are good men. Hopelessly Devoted had a compelling storyline that made it impossible for me to put the story down. This was a great MC read with characters that I really liked.
I enjoyed the way the heroine of the story was a strong and determine character. I really liked the character Alison and was one of my favourite heroins.
Storm I absolutely loved, he was a sexy male character that I really felt for emotionally with the way that he was struggling with things in his past.
I really enjoyed this story from start to finish and found. that the couple in the story had an instant connection between them. There was the perfect combination of drama, romance, steamy moments and angst. I cant wait to read more about the MC.
Great book. I loved all the action in it. I never really figured out who the stalker was. Loved the writing and how everything goes
Alison works at the paper and thought she was going to get the promotion that was coming up until her boss decides that both go on three online dates and write an article. With the dates turning out to be a disaster, arriving home Alison gets knocked down by a puppy, when she meets the puppy’s owner she can’t deny the attraction she feels to the owner being Storm/Logan. Although with her trust issues she not sure if she even wants to go there, while Logan fights everything in his past, but Alison seems to bring light to his darkness.
Logan realises his past is coming back to haunt him and putting Alison as risk, he will do anything he can to keep her safe, including having her get mad at him.
Alison and Logan have a lot of issues to work through with Logan worried that he will lose her and does everything without thinking to stop that happening, Alison with her trust issues feeling like Logan is taking over her life while he tries to keep her safe.
When you thought you knew where the book was going in comes a twist that I didn’t see coming before Logan and Alison can get their happily ever after.
