My sista from another mista has a new Kinney Brothers book out!
So… surprise! Double surprise actually and I’ll just say it’s a surprise without saying why because I am not allowed to do say… but I am allowed to say why it’s double: cause I had no idea I would love this book and Malachy soooo much, but I did, so hard and I wasn’t expecting it.
Typically I am not much of a fan of books with characters in their 40s (unless it’s an age-gap romance) but Malachy oh wow, he completely won me over from the very first instance. And I loved all his sides… broody, scared, emotional, sweet. i melted over this guy. And his emotions had ME emotional; a 40 year old man that acted like a little kid with sometimes when it came to his emotions, how does that not affect you?! His loneliness spoke to me too and I must confess that he brought me to tears in his own moments of emotion and contemplation.
I also really liked Emma and I loved her journey and how her life interconnected with Malachy, it was pretty perfect. And so were they as a couple, from their meet cute (yes I considered it one) to everything else. But I think what I liked most of all was how his new-found family accepted him and how they all clicked from the moment they met. This family is wonderful and they gave me great joy; I loved the teasing and support among them, it was like they hadn’t just met but had known each other for years. It was remarkable and touching. And it was just amazing to get to see these characters again in all their glory.
I was also very happy when I realized who Devin and Kylie were because it might have took me a minute but then had me smiling like an idiot… I had missed them. Basically this book was a complete joy for me; the romance was super sweet, the family plot was very touching and sometimes right down emotional and you almost get to see every single one of Kelsey’s characters ( at least the one’s I’ve met).

YES! We’re back with the Kinney clan in Connecticut.
Whose story is this, you might ask? Haven’t all brothers found their happily ever afters?
They did. BUT … there might be a surprise brother from Ireland coming along.
And he might meet a divorced mom of two on the plane!
It was such an adorable and heartbreaking story.
Poor Malachy – he’s been so alone these last years in Dublin. He has no one. Only his adorable dog.
And now he has a new insta family. Too cute. He’s just not sure if he can trust all this perfectness in the form of his new brothers and ‘parents’. Poor guy. But the Kinneys are so amazing with him – especially Helen – who could be mad about the whole situation – but she’s perfect!
Of course we also have to get that happily ever after for Mal and Emma. Might not be easy!
But we enjoy every moment of Malachy’s adventure!
Another amazingly beautiful book in this series.
Adorable, funny, sparky, moving, sweet. I loved it!
The only thing that’s always bothering me a bit is the overuse of EHMs … by all characters. I would be ok with only one person using it … but they all do. It could be an UHM once or a HM, no idea, but EHM sounds weird. BUT I STILL LOVED THE STORY! Can’t wait to see what’s next from KK!
Also – I LOVED the cameos by our darlings Devin & Kylie!
Wow I can’t get enough of the Kinney’s boys and Malachy was definitely a surprise I didn’t see him coming at all. This just touch my heart with how sweet and heartwarming it was. Malachy has made me love him so much that he made me cheat on Patrick my first love. I’m so glad I got this chance to read Malachy story and so happy that he found the family and love that he so much needed.
Well, that makes four Kinney books in a row that wrung a few tears out of me. Of course, they’re always happy and/or sentimental, my-heart-is-full-to-overflowing tears and I can’t get enough.
Don’t want to give away anything about the story, but let me say Malachy’s story was quite unexpected and yet, when I came to the end of it, it seemed so obvious, so natural.
Absolutely recommend this book, this series, this author.
Malachy and Emma met on a plane from Ireland to the United States and he told her he was meeting his family that he just found out about. While getting to know his family the Kinneys he keeps running into Emma and there definitely a spark. But he has to go back to Ireland or does he ? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book
Great great series
When I read that there was a surprise Kinney Brother- you know I jumped up and down to read it! I was so excited for this surprise and this book was everything I thought it would be!
I love reading about this family- their quirks, their love, their wives and their town. It will literally suck you in (so if you haven’t read the first three and you start with this one, you will definitely go back and binge!) Even though this was a surprise brother, his fitting in with everyone else was no surprise- it was like he had been there all along.
This book gave me all the familiar feels I love to read about in romance- small town and big hearts. Kelsey’s writing was also phenomenal and I think I fall in love with each more book she writes a little more. Mal and Emma were perfect for each other, their character developments were genuine and make my heart soar. I was reading this on the plane and crying and the end but I usually cry in a book, so don’t be scared by that!
If you love a FEEL GOOD book- one that will leave you with a smile when you finish, then you MUST read this! I truly enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what’s next!
While reading the books in the Kinney Brothers series, there are certain things you get used to. Sweet Irish men with an accent, stubborn characters, amazing romance, a family you want to be your own and a smile on your face. Hope to Fall definitely checked off all the things on that list.
In Hope to Fall we get Malachy, who hasn’t had the easiest life, but really just wants love, but doesn’t know how to accept it. He’s been on his own for awhile, so when his life gets turned upside down, it’s not what he’s expecting and he doesn’t even dare to hope.
Emma was a fun character as well. Keeping Malachy calm on the plane was so cute, who knew they would end up running into eachother?
Hope to Fall is filled with love, humor, learning to accept yourself and those who want to love you and family. Sometimes you find it in places you least expect. On top of that we get a cameo from another one of Kelsey’s books and more Kinneys. I have come to love all these characters and can’t get enough!
I don’t have to hope to fall, because I definitely did for this book!
Family, love, and hope
Another winner by Kelsey Kingsley! “Hope to Fall” is an all-around feel-good story, told with humor and heart. I loved it! The world needs more people like the Kinney family – so open and accepting, and kind. I am so glad that this series will continue and look forward to the next book!
Love and family!
This was a story about 2 people who did not feel they deserved a love story. Once again, I felt drawn into this family like I knew them personally! The Kinney brothers are all fun, loving, loyal and caring men! And I’m sure I’m not the only reader who read the dialogue with an Irish lilt! I’m sure I didn’t do it justice, but you can her it all in your head as you read!
A sweet, sexy book about love and family! Another great addition to this series!
I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.
You may have thought the Kinney series was finished once all the boys found their happy endings, but SURPRISE! If you are a fan of the Kinney series, this is a book you do not want to miss! It will tug at your heart and leave you happy.
Ms. Kingsley is known for bringing the drama right along with swoony guys and girls you want to hang out with. This book is no different. It has its fair share of drama, but is written with a lightness that will keep you reading and warm your heart. It may be an unexpected addition to the Kinney family, but it is a welcome one for sure!
Let me preface this by saying that I really hate it when books make me cry in public.
If you feel the same way, I caution you: read this in a secluded place and don’t answer the doorbell til you’re done. And please, please don’t wear mascara that isn’t waterproof.
Kelsey Kingsley absolutely floored me with this masterpiece. The emotion that pours from the pages: humour, romance, tenderness, failure, acceptance… The whole gamut. The Kinney boys are incredible; we already knew that. Their women are sensational; we knew that too. What we didn’t know was the extent to which we were really, really going to want to be part of their clan. This book is undeniable. You will want to be their friend, sibling, child… I’d even settle for being the family dog. I could ramble on and on about all my favourite things about this book, this series, this author… But I won’t waste any more of your time. Just get the book, and read it. You can thank Ms Kingsley later.
Trust me, everyone who reads this will hope to fall for their own Malachy! Sweet, emotional, steamy, and memorable….at the rate this amazing writer is going, review platforms are gonna need to change the rating system to allow for more stars! I laughed, cried, swooned, and sighed!
The more I read the more I fall in love with the Kinney family. Malachy is pretty much a loner, with no family to speak of, but I love that he has his dog by his side. He falls into the Kinney trap of love and togetherness, while also getting a little friendly ribbing from the Kinney men. He and Emma are a good fit, finding each other while being a little lonely. Loved it!
Wow! Wow! Wow! I absolutely loved everything about this book. What an amazing story of Malachy and Emma! From their meeting and all the way until The End, it had me engaged and addicted. I could not get enough, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
This is the fourth installment of the Kinney series, and it’s definitely in the running for my favorite. It’s so hard to pick. I love this family, and can’t get enough. This is a wonderful story about healing and love. I definitely recommend reading it.
I was so surprised and so excited to get another Kinney Brothers book. I was sad when I read the “last” one because I really thought it was the end of that world. But Ms. Kingsley gave us a nice surprise with this gem. I don’t want to say too much just that as always Ms. Kingsley writes to your soul. She gives all the feels and has you clutching your kindle just completely in love with the story. Absolutely a must read!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
I am struggling with this review because I don’t want to give to much away… but I have a whole lot to say! This book is like coming home. Kelsey Kingsley took us back to a place that is warm and loving and gives you all the feels. Malachy and Emma’s relationship is a beautifully written as we are introduced to new Kinney favorites and reacquainted with our
When I read that there would be another book where the Kinney’s were involved I was ecstatic. This story will touch into the deepest part of your soul and make you weep, smile, laugh, and root for Malachy and Emma.
This is Malachy Shevlin’s story. He’s a bartender from Dublin with a fabulous dog. I don’t want to give anything away so it’s a little difficult to write. What you will get from this book is many tender and gut wrenching moments, a lot of laughs, some uncomfortable situations, the Irish wit and life changing decisions that have to be made.
The story is filled with lots of love. What I admire about this authors writing is that she takes very real believable situations and weaves them in a beautiful story. She paints images with her words that you feel like you can smell the sod, hear the brogue and feel the love. Seriously, the whole time I read this book it was with an Irish accent. I had more trouble going back to read the American parts without converting to the brogue.
Malachy is referred to as grumpy and a ginger. I don’t see him that way. Of course I see him as a ginger, it’s the grumpy part I’m referring to. Not everyone wears their heart on their sleeve and some people are just more introverted. Life situations and the way you are raised can have a definite effect on how your personality develops. That being said people do change when the opportunity arises? While reading this story you get to see that change take place. You get to see the somewhat metamorphosis take place. You will cry in the beginning of this story as well as towards the end. You may tear up in the middle. Don’t worry there are also a lot of smiles and laughs. It is the Irish wit remember. The Irish have a twinkle in their eye and the devil in their smile.
Enter Emma Bryan, the food blogger, who is described as a bit neurotic. As I stated previously, life can mold us into ways we never visualized. Think back, are you the exact same person you were ten, twenty however many years ago? I’m not. Life doesn’t always work out the way we planned. There’s two sayings that always seem accurate to me, “Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans” and “Life can change on a dime”. In this case that’s what happened for these two individuals.
Watching them evolve though is so beautiful. They’re both scared and rightfully so. Too, they get the sense that even though they say they’re not going to get attached they don’t believe it. Yeah, we all lie to ourselves.
Happily we get to meet up again with the whole Kinney clan as well as get to touch base with the Devin and Daisies group. This is family you want to hang out with. One of the most touching parts of this part was how we really get to see Collin and Helen in ways we weren’t privy to before. There are two pivotal moments in their part of the story that had me an emotional wreck. You can feel Malachy’s emotions as though it were your own. The author is a master at drawing you in and making you feel what is happening at that moment. She also creates moments in her stories where you want to become friends with all her characters.
Believe me I want to discuss this story in detail but I have a firm no spoiler policy. It’s no fair to the author. So I’ll just be sayin’ to ya, read this book. ‘Tis a grand story to be sure. You won’t be regrettin’ it. You may even be thinkin’ that a little bit of the pot o’gold dropped right into yer hands. Once you start to read with the brogue it’ll be hard to stop! But it’ll all be worth it. It’s a fast read because you won’t want to stop. So do yourself a favor and read this story. You deserve it!
