Just when you think Kelsey Kingsley couldn’t possibly write another perfect Kinney brother…Surprise she did! Meet Malachy Shevlin.
After Sean and Lindsey come back from Ireland, Sean wants to know more about his family ancestry but what he found out is shocking – there’s another Kinney brother. Malachy decides to visit River Canyon and meet his father and brothers. What he didn’t know is that he was going to meet a beautiful food/ lifestyle blogger named Emma Bryan that would change his world.
I think Mal and Emma might be my favorite couple next to the other brothers. They have amazing chemistry and complement each other so well. Mal is a combination of all three brothers – he has Patrick’s romantic side, his rough grumpy darkness from Ryan and Sean’s sensitive.
There is so much I want to tell you about this book, but I’m not going to spoil it. Okay, just one hint – you get to see a couple again that was in Kelsey last book. Hope to Fall was a wonderful journey of finding that missing piece that didn’t make you feel so lonely anymore.
If you haven’t started this series you need to; you won’t be disappointed. Plus Kelsey might have teased about another book centered around Patrick, HMMM…..Impatiently waiting.
I was thrilled to be back with the Kinney family in this book. The lovely world that Kelsey Kingsley has created gets bigger with more characters and a little cross over. Malachy and Emma are 2 lost souls that meet on a plane from Dublin to River Canyon. They bump into each other in Kylie’s coffee shop so we also get a glimpse into the Daisies & Devin characters. The relationship between Mal and Emma evolves and many decisions have to made. Read and you will be able to connect the dots and find out how these two get their happily ever after.
This book was a complete surprise and the expansion to the Kinney family is perfectly done! Kingsley has done a magnificent job!!! I adore these brothers and the way they pick on one another. It is impossible to not love them and the way they love each other and their women. I don’t want to give too much away, but there is even more of that delicious accent we all love and adore. This book is a MUST READ!
What’s not to love about this funny, charming, character driven book?? Malachy and Emma are an absolute delight, and Kelsey has succeeded in writing a book which warms your heart, makes you laugh and shed the odd, empathetic tear. Take two people who deserve to be loved so very much, mix them in with a group of familiar and well loved characters, and you cannot fail! I loved every single word, from start to finish.
And just when you thought you knew everything Kelsey Kingsley throws you a curve ball…..A wonderfully written, highly entertaining curve ball!! I recommend reading the previous books first as you get to know the background of some key characters before reading Hope to Fall. Having said that I love the new guy on the block, Malachy a grumpy Irishman with a dog! What’s not to love? And Emma a neurotic food blogger. This is the story we didn’t expect and now cant imagine not reading. Thank you for a wonderful new, emotional, humorous, tearjerker of a romance to add to this fabulous Kinney Brothers series!! Highly recommended.
Another great Kinney Brother Romance. Mal and Emma are such a great pairing that you can see the Sparks fly from the moment they meet on the plane. Two lonely souls find peace and love when they least expect it and it is a beautiful union. Kinney family just keeps on growing. Love the fact that My and Devin appear in the book too.
Feckin Fantastic! Me thinks this is me favorite book of the series. Malachy will make you laugh, make your heart hurt, make you sad, make you smile and make you cry. Such great characters. The Kinney’s are such a great family and boy what I wouldn’t give to hang out with them for a day! Kelsey Kingsley is such a fantastic story teller….seriously her books are MUST READS and this one is no exception!
4.5 Stars!
I the Kinney Brothers and Malachy is the PERFECT addition to the family! The Kinney family was so welcoming to Malachy, made him truly at Home ~ along with Emma, Hailey & Sarah. I enjoyed seeing Devin and Kylie, this is what I love about Small town romances. Honorable mention for Pad, I normally don’t pay much attention to animals in a book, but I liked the way he was written in the story – makes me want a dog!
GREAT story, GREAT family, GREAT town…definitely worth the read!
A surprise Kinney book? Yes please!
In the spirit of keeping the secret, I’m going to tell you nothing, zilch, absolutely nada about this story.
What I will tell you, is that if you’re a Kinney fan, you are not going to want to miss this one!
All our favourite characters make an appearance and, if it were possible, we fall in love with them a little bit more.
Hope to Fall is written with all of Kelsey’s usual humour and wit and might just be my favourite instalment from River Canyon yet!
The Kinney Brothers are one of my favorite families to read. K. Kingsley knows how to perfect the Irish accent and these brothers are not only swoon-worthy, but they are hilarious, loyal and compassionate. They rib on each other, laugh, and joke around like 10 year old boys, but they also will drop anything for any one in their family. This story was no different.
This book was a surprise, and without giving too much away – the Kinney family expands, and once again, this family and these brothers open their arms and hearts like no one else can. I found myself smiling and giggling like a school girl as these brothers speak, joke around, love on their women, and accept new family without batting an eye. The love and devotion that they all have is so heart-warming that you just can’t help love them all, including the Dad and Matriarch of the family, Collin.
This was a quick, sweet and sexy easy read. I loved having all of the Kinney brothers AND Devin & Kylie from Daisies and Devin make an appearance in this novel. You can’t help but smile and swoon over these men, and want to befriend their significant others. The new additions to their family will melt your heart, and I just wanted MORE of them. I know the Kinney’s have more stories to come, so I will wait patiently. Well done once again K. Kingsley!
Oh……My!!!!!!! When I finished Last Chance to Fall (Kinney #3, Sean) , I wanted more from these men…..when Hope to Fall showed up on my nook, I dived right in because….hello……more of the KINNEY men!!!!!
I will start with this……Ms. Kingsley is now my unicorn author….she has helped me add so many BBF’s to my harem that I am one happy reader
Hope to Fall is just that…..Malachy and Emma’s story of hope. The depth of the story drew me in from page 1. The interaction/attraction between Mal and Emma will reach into your chest and make your heart smile.
I had the roller coaster of emotions: humor, anger (I wanted to reach through the pages and rattle some heads), tears (there was a point in the book that I just had to stop, lay the nook down and just cry) and love. Plus, we get the Kinney family!!!!!
This entire series is a MUST read for anyone who is looking for a story with true emotions written by an author who understands what her readers want.
A surprise I didn’t see coming! A good surprise! A story about family, filled with heart! It’s always a joy to read about the Kinney’s! The Kinney family is absolutely wonderful! I love this Irish family and their playfulness, honesty, and they are always there for each other. Kelsey writes the Kinney brothers so well, you can’t help but fall hard.
The character of Malachy is honest and there is hesitation on his part to let the Kinney’s or Emma in. Emma is a sweet, and a great mom, but isn’t living her truth. What she presents to the world as a blogger isn’t real, and she feels she has to be perfect. These two are definitely opposites, but together have a real connection and so much chemistry. The fell so quickly and were up front from the start.
I love how this family just continue’s to grow. As Kelsey said, there are still so many stories to tell regarding the Kinney family, and I look forward to them all.
Just when I thought the Kinneys’ story was done, Kelsey surprised us with another glimpse into their lives. You think it couldn’t get any better… wrong. It gets better and better with each book! The Kinneys are the epitome of family first and no one gets left behind. Genetics have nothing to do with the meaning of family in River Canyon. This story was raw and real. I laughed out loud. I smiled real big. I was near tears. I can’t wait for more!
4.5 Family is Everything Stars
The Kinneys are the greatest because they know the true meaning of the word family. Hope to Fall is another great addition to the Kinney family series. Love and not just the romantic kind, acceptance, togetherness, and support all shine in this easy and charming yet sexy read. Self-worth and deserving are running themes throughout the story and Kelsey Kingsley’s words have a fluidity that proves they are deserving of everything that is good and so much more.
Since this is a surprise addition to the Kinney family series, I won’t reveal who the love story revolves around but I will mention they are both easily lovable characters. And that’s part of the charm of discovering them. This family loves strong with open arms and these new characters are no different.
It can’t go without mentioning the matriarch of the Kinney Family, Helen, is the mother everyone needs. She makes you feel safe and loved. She’s a kind, wonderful woman whose love knows no bounds.
I can easily get lost in this family and series and hope to do it over and over again. Falling in love with them is a trip worth taking.
Just when you think that the Kinney family stories are over comes a big surprise! His name is Malachy Shevlin. He’s a 40 year old bar owner from Dublin and he is coming to America to meet our beloved Kinney’s. If you have not read the Kinney brother series yet, I recommend starting at the beginning with One Night to Fall. Each story stands alone but is told in running order. You will get to know all the Kinney brothers and they will be a big part of Malachy’s story. This is Malachy’s first flight and to say that he’s not enjoying it is an understatement. His seat mate is Emma Bryan, American, food/lifestyle blogger and not very happy to be sitting next to an grumpy though attractive Irishman. She fears that he may toss his cookies all over her lap! Well they arrive at their Connecticut destination safely much to Malachy’s surprise. Now this is the moment where these two part expecting to never see each other again but destiny has a plan for them! This story is Malachy’s journey to get answers, find out his hidden desires and maybe even take a chance to grab the brass ring! So he along with his dog Padraig will be spending time getting to know River Canyon and it’s residents while Emma is on her own journey that will lead to an intersection with his. As you’ve probably realized my review is rather vague. It has to be. This story is a huge surprise to Kinney fans and they are going to be thrilled! It’s told from dual POV and you are going to experience every emotion imaginable and love every second of it. Hope to Fall is a triumph and if you love great small town romance you should be reading Kelsey Kingsley’s books!
Hope to Fall (Kinney Brothers Book 4) by Kelsey Kingsley is sweet, contemporary romance told in dual point of view. Although each book in the Kinney Brothers series can stand alone they follow a consecutive timeline so it’s highly recommended to start at the beginning and read them in the following order: One Night to Fall, To Fall for Winter, Last Chance to Fall, Hope to Fall. They are all fantastic! I promise you will not be disappointed.
In order to avoid spoilers, I’m keeping my review very vague. In Hope to Fall, the Kinney family is expanding and we get to know some wonderful new characters, Malachy Shevlin and Emma Bryan. Both Malachy and Emma are very likeable characters who pulled on my heart-strings as I got to know them and learn about hurts they had experienced. We get to spend time catching up with all of our beloved Kinney men and their significant others, and Devin and Kylie from Daisies & Devin also make a fun appearance.
I absolutely loved this story! It’s an engaging, genuine, heart-warming tale about family, identity, belonging, and unconditional love. A great addition to the series!
