The Gallagher Brothers series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan concludes with the final brother who thought he had everything to look forward to, and the one woman who can handle him.Life isn’t worth living if you don’t fight to live. That’s what Murphy Gallagher learned at a young age when cancer ravaged his body not once, but twice. Over the course of his survival, he lost his … his parents and his childhood, but he’s been healthy for years and has become a man he hopes his family is proud of. But when his world tilts on its axis yet again, he’ll have to learn what it means to fight not only the unknown but also his attraction to his best friend.
Tessa Stone works hard and plays harder. She’s spent her life trying to figure out who she is in the present rather than looking back. Yet when she’s forced into close proximity with Murphy, she’ll have to not only be his rock but learn how to relax enough to maybe let him be hers, as well. But seduction doesn’t stop when the world seems to, and close encounters of the naked kind might just be the first step in something much more complicated than either of them bargained for. Life, though, is for living, after all.

Murphy and Tessa have been flirting around each other since they first met, but decided to go with the friendship route, and that totally worked for them. Until, of course, it didn’t anymore. These two were fun, flirty, sarcastic, emotional, deep, loving, and a complete joy to read about!
Murphy has overcome cancer once and lives life with a sense of thankfulness and older brothers who have seen him go through it all. They all lost their parents shortly after his cancer treatments ended. He now has a girl he wants for his own, but can she overcome her own issues to be the lady in his life? Bittersweet romance.
This was a wonderful book! I have not read the others and this has peaked my interest into the rest of this family. Murphy is a great endearing character. His situation touched me. Tessa is wild and strong and sassy. I love reading characters like her. I’m not gonna lie…I was surprised these two were able to “get” together. I figured he would be to weak and tired to get into the mischief he does with Tessa. I did listen to this on audio. Gregory Salinas did a great job and has a lovely voice to listen to.
Hope Restored by Carrie Ann Ryan is the 3rd book in the Gallagher Brothers series and was Murphy and Tessa’s story. This friends to lovers novel was sweet, steamy and a bit emotional and it will evoke a range of emotions from you. I loved seeing the progression of Murphy and Tessa’s relationship from friends to so much more. The story shows us the strength of the characters as well as their vulnerability and made this tale so much more relatable. I enjoyed this novel and would highly recommend it to all lovers of friends to lovers romance.
The audible version was narrated by Gregory Salinas who was a new to me narrator. He did an excellent job with the story and brought the characters to life. He had good pace and timing and I enjoyed listening to him narrate this novel.
This is the third and final book in the Gallagher brothers trilogy, and Wow! I’ve always loved a friends to lovers romance, but Murphy and Tessa really are such an amazing couple. This entire series has been full of feelings for me, but Hope Restored had me in tears from the beginning. I think I went through every emotion imaginable with this book. Sadness, fear, joy, terror. That, to me, is the mark of a great book. When you experience real emotions, along with a true feeling of getting to know the characters. And I couldn’t help but feel like the characters were real in this book. Ms. Ryan always has amazingly strong characters in her books, but Murphy has been battling cancer his entire life, and still has an awesome outlook and a happy disposition. Even when he is afraid or upset or exhausted, he still has that personality that makes you want to be around him. And Tessa! A true friend, loyal and loving to everyone. For her to jump into the relationship with Murphy. It’s just pure beauty! Another amazing story from Carrie Ann Ryan!
Loved it.
I love anything she writes!!
Nice conclusion to an enjoyable series. Sad to see the end of the series but like the promise that we will see sore in her new series coming out next year
I love these type of books
It’s so hard to believe that this is the last book in the Gallagher Brothers series. But never fear we know our author, she will for sure let us peek into their lives in one of her other books some time in the future. The Montgomery Clan reaches far and wide (even if their last name is something else). Carrie Ann Ryan has created this family that each one of us can feel a part of. I know I do.
This last book in the Gallagher Brothers series has to be my favorite for so many reasons. Oh please do not let the other ones know, sort of like saying one of your children are your favorites. I love all of her books but this book just shines a little bit brighter. This book is about love, friendship and life. True love and true friendship…the kind that lasts thru cancer and the real kind. This is Murphy and Tessa’s story but is also Gallagher Family’s story and all their friend’s as well.
As a reader, this book reach down and grabbed me from the very beginning. It had me in tears in parts but laughing in others. Don’t get me wrong this is not a sad, woo is me book ..OH NO… this book is inspiring and a beautiful romance. All I can say is I recommend it and that is all you are getting out of me because I don’t give storylines away. LOL
If you want to really enjoy this book I highly recommend the other books in this series…Or go all out and read all the Montgomery books.
