I believed in sex, once upon a time. And passion. But now my life as a single, divorced career girl living alone in New York City was all about work. I hadn’t had a date in years. But then he came along . . . Alexandre Chevalier. The French CEO billionaire of HookedUp, the social media phenomenon that had taken the world by storm. He was the most beautiful man I’d ever seen, and with eyes so … with eyes so green they seared into my soul.
Like a flash of lightning he struck me down . . . his touch was electric, and I knew my life was irrevocably changed. I’d never be the same again.
He awakened every fiber of my being, ignited every cell in my body.
And just when I thought things couldn’t be more perfect . . .
It all came crashing down.
*
I’d had it with all the crazy women in my life: the models, the movie stars, even my power-hungry sister and business partner. If you’d had a past like mine, you’d understand.
I just wanted a normal relationship with a normal woman . . .
And then I met her . . . Pearl Robinson.
She was perfect for me.
Or so I thought.
But I was in for a shocking surprise when I found out the truth . . .
Of who she really was.

To be honest I did not read the blurb on this book so I had no idea what to expect until I read the first chapter. Since I had already read Shades of Pearl (Shades of Pearl book 1) I was not sure what to expect. In Hooked Up I found the same storyline as Shades of Pearl, however,it was really interesting to read Pearl and Alexandre’s extra thoughts with each conversation and scene in the storyline. It also answers some questiond I had from Shades of Pearl.
I liked this book enough to purchase the second in the series. The characters became very developed in the first and they really let loose. Sexually these books are not for the faint of heart. The dynamics between the lead male and female are electrically charged. I looked forward to setting aside time to read or forgetting to sleep so I could finish it.
It hooked me in and I kept reading,
Enjoyed reading it.
Great book to read, looking forward to reading the second book.
Excellent reading, a real page turner. Kept me reading up until bed time.
Cliff hanger alert. Also characters are a little too suspicious, judgemental and faithless. I don’t see how they could get together in second book
This is a 3-part series. All excellent books!
Too repative.
It was good but would have liked to know that it was just a rewrite of the Pearl books.
I currently have 73% read and contrary to the reviews inside the cover it’s not a competition to Christian, however, it’s a decent read. I’d say a great book except that would be a book that’s so good I begin and end it in one day because I can’t put it down.
left me wanting to continue following the main characters
I’m in the middle of the 3rd book. Will share all after I have completed the series.
Excellant
This book is part 1. Don’t read if you’re not ready to buy all in the series.
Hate when a book end without ending must get the next book or 3 to get 1 book
Enjoyable read. Well developed characters. Frustrated though that once again I was sucked in with a free book and it was the first in a series and I was left hanging and must buy the next two to learn what happens.
I gave the book one star only because I didn’t like the way it was written. I didn’t even finish it. The end of a chapter is the way the next chapter would begin but said by the other character.
I don’t remember the name. Sorry I will start writing them down. When I read them I send back
I had to get the series. Couldn’t put it down until I had read them all
This book had me wanting to read the next book!!!
