The background theme is a romance. The world is fantasy like Patricia Briggs. The real fun is the word play. Shades of Tanya Huff.
I liked this book so much I read it twice!
This is a world where supernatural creatures live among us, facing their own issue, like discrimination. It’s easy to buy into the reality and forget there aren’t really werewolf cops.
But what really makes this a fun to read book is all the smart-ass characters and their unexpectedly warm relationships with each other. They are the kind of people/creatures I’d love to hang out with. Sure, Shane tends to shoot the head vampire in the knee whenever they are together, but that’s just being friendly.
i don’t mind sharing my literary friends, so go ahead. Read this book.
I started out enjoying this book. But was relieved when I was done. It got too bogged down in details. Everything was explained to excruciating length. It was as if the author wanted to include every ghoul they had ever heard of…even if it didn’t truly relate to the story. It just went on and on. I hate giving bad reviews but I couldn’t recommend this book and don’t believe I’d read another by this author.
GREAT READ.. I laughed out loud multiple times and cringed over multiple of the bad puns that leapt from the page into my mind.. Oh to unsee some of the puns.. Witty, funny, a quick read . A “romantic” comedy with dead bodies, mayhem, and marriement. If your in the mood for a fun, sarcastic, read ( with a few dead bodies / violence/ and murder thrown in for fun) then this is a good book for you. I just got book to and finishing it is my labor day project.
Hoofin’ It, was a truly enjoyable book. I found myself staying up later, each night, to read more of this action packed story. Wonderful and unique storyline, it has a little bit of everything, including humor. The characters are delightful, and the story comes together, after various twists and turns. I’m hoping there’s a second book, what happens next…great job!
I laughed through the whole book, she has a wicked sense of humor!
Great book funny and romantic
It was a fun read. Light not heavy. Very entertaining. Lots of twists to the plot.
It got off to a fine start, and I loved the references to spinning and knitting, which, unfortunately, abruptly stopped. But the story was still entertaining enough to keep me going. The interaction of all the characters was fun to watch develop and follow.
Loved it!!! Hope to see sequels
This was a fun book.
This was such a crazy book. The author did a great job setting up this particular world full of werewolves, vampires, and other beings. I loved the main characters, and they moved from one interesting situation to another. The story ran on a little long, but it was a fun read.
I absolutely loved “Hoffin’ it”, but be aware that it’s very specifical book. You have to be able to survive puns, crazy werewolves, cute alpaca and the main character who likes to roll his fake eye across the floor because he no longer can roll his eyes… But don’t worry! Although it’s quite a weird journey it’s absolutely worth your time (and your suffering over puns 😉 )!
Made me laugh, good to read
Really enjoyed this book. Lots of funny moments. Would love to read more like from this author.
Great read!! Hilarious characters. Chuckled the whole time.
I had a blast reading this book. I liked it so much that I went and bought 4 copies to send to friends and family. The interactions between the characters was highly entertaining/funny – I laughed out in several places.
This book made me laugh out loud! I loved every word and couldn’t put it down. If you love romantic paranormal romantic comedies then read this book! I loved it so much that I have started reading every novel in the series. These are all stand alone books and worth reading!
An hilarious read with a truly original storyline.
Absolutely hilarious and twisted fun! Can’t wait to read more!
