Kellie Greyson is at the Blackjack table in the Dominion Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. She wants to get the attention of casino owner and mob boss Tony Pallazi. She has a plan; seduce the slimy piece of garbage to get information out of him about what he knows about the disappearance of her sister Anna who was last seen leaving the Dominion after her work shift. Kellie is asked to leave the Blackjack table by one of the “security” guys and is escorted to the office of the mob boss. Ha! Her plan is working! She has the attention of the crooked guy. Too bad it is the wrong kind of attention. Palazzi suspects Kellie is there for the wrong reasons. She ends up being forced to agree to marry Palazzi in order to protect her stepfather. What to do? What to do? Shortly before the wedding is scheduled to begin Kellie, all prettied-up and dressed in a beautiful wedding gown makes a break for it and despite the rain storm outside runs out of the casino like her life depends on it. Oh right! Her life does depend on it! After losing Palazzi’s men who are chasing her Kellie ends up in the dive bar, Wally’s Tavern where our hero, Matt “Macgyver” Iverson is waiting to meet someone who has information about the missing person he has been hired to find. Kellie ends up getting drunk with some nasty biker guys who force her to do shots of tequila and is rescued by Macgyver. But that’s just the beginning of this adventure.
Honor Among SEALs is the second book in author Dixie Lee Brown’s Hearts of Valor Series. She is a new author to me but this series has now made me a fan. This book is jam-packed with action. Dixie Lee Brown will keep your heart racing as Kellie and Macgyver run from one dustup with Pallazi’s men to another. She will have you cheering on the good guys and booing the bad guys. If you like lots of action, suspense, great love scenes, realistic characters and a fascinating plot you will want to read Honor Among SEALs.
Outstanding
I won a copy of this book from Goodreads Giveaways. I was not required to give a favorable review. This story had a lot of suspense, intrigue, gun fighting and a whole lot of love. And the protection of family.
This book is the BEST book I have EVER read in my 50 years!!!! That is saying a lot considering I have read literally thousands of books, over a hundred so far this year (and it is only the beginning of October).
I couldn’t put this book down!!! It is action-packed from beginning to end.
I don’t want to say too much about the book because I don’t want to accidental give anything away.
Former Marine, Kellie becomes a runaway bride because her groom is a mob boss, Tony Palazzi (whom is the last man that was seen in the presence of her missing sister).
Matt “MacGyver” Iverson and his security company (all former Navy Seals) step in to help save her although that wasn’t the job that they were getting paid to do.
So much action, drama, and romance all in one place that it will make your head spin. Ms. Brown weaves such a fascinating story that you feel right in the middle of it. This book REALLY needs to be made into a movie. Men and women would LOVE it! My husband was a former member of US Army Special Forces and it REALLY touched my heart the way Ms. Brown tells a story of what it is like coming back from war with emotional as well as physical scars and what it is like for both the soldier and the families that love them!
I was pulled into the story immediately, and swept into the action. The military hero is a heartthrob and the heroine is strong. The story was fast-moving and hard to put down.
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) I liked that this was a slow burn instead of a insta love, as they spent time together they fell a little more. Kellie loves her sister to the point of doing what she can to assist. Kellie ends up getting into some problems that are dangerous and ends getting the help of Matt and his security service to help. We have a lot of actions, twists and laughter…Enjoy!
This is one very exciting reading material packed with lot of action, hot scenes and suspense.
This book is so full of twists, turns, love, hate and laughter that it was truly hard for me to put down
I had to read it as fast I can because I wanted to see how it will finish.
I like to read books that have men in uniform even if they are ex army/police and this one didn’t disappointed at all. I have to mention that the female character Kellie, a former Marine, is also strong and independent and she is perfect for former Navy SEAL Matt/MacGyver Iverson.
The plot, characters and authors storytelling is great.
Dixie Lee Brown is a new author for me and this is her first book that I am reading but it won’t be my last, I am sure of it.

This is book 2 of the author’s series , Hearts of Valor. Though I am partial to book one , this one is a very good story.
The story centers around former Navy SEAL Matt/MacGyver Iverson and former Marine, Kellie Greyson.
Both are in Vegas searching for a missing person. Kellie’s sister has disappeared for over a year and just recently Kellie found out she was last seen with mobster Tony Palazzi. She makes a point of meeting him . A turn of events has Tony forcing Kellie to marry him but minutes before her wedding she escapes. Guided to a biker bar, she meets MacGyver. who is waiting for information for a different missing person and instead, ends up saving her from a group of bikers. Little did the two of them know that is was going to be the beginning of a cat and mouse race. Will they be able to trust each other long enough to succeed in their mission?
The story is filled with suspense, mobsters, guns, missing people, action , adventure, a few good laughs and of course, romance.
It bears mentioning that Travis , one of the secondary characters, is a great addition to the story.
Aside from the plot , the author reminds us of the horrors of war and their effect of the brave men and women who sacrifice themselves in the name of freedom and our country. She brings to light the fact that war can cause some of the troops to turn to drinking and drugs thinking it’s the only way they can handle the stress. We as a nation, need to support all the brave men and women upon their return and assist them in their integration back to civil life. For that , kudos to Ms Brown.
Looking forward to what else the author has in store for us in the next book of the series,
I was entrusted this copy by Netgalley and Lyrical Liaison. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
**I received a copy of Honor Among SEALs from Net Galley and Kensington Books in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**

SEALs Against The Mob Action Adventure Romance
This is the second book in a series, but they can be read individually. This is an action-adventure and a romance. The story starts out with a bang and ends very well. The action is non-stop with many twists. The romance is hot but can be skipped over without any loss to the storyline. This story features Marines and SEALs for some serious action. Now, off to read book three.
It’s an ok read. Maybe only 2.75 stars.
“Strong” marine h pairing up with former seal. A little attraction, some danger, chasing across the country, avoiding a relationships to let’s give it a try.
