This was one crazy cruise! Also, so much for a relaxing honeymoon. Murders, attempted murder, kidnapping, blackmail, affairs, wedding crashers, the list goes on! I love this series!

This was the much awaited seventh book in the ‘Rachel Prince Mystery Book’ series by Dawn Brookes and it was also the much anticipated wedding of our heroine Rachel and fiancé Carlos. Having read and thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in this series I was not disappointed by this latest instalment. Although this book can be read as a standalone story, readers will have a better understanding of Rachel and the other main characters backstory if the series is read in order. As usual I was hooked from page one as newlyweds Rachel and Carlos head off on a honeymoon Mediterranean cruise. However their honeymoon soon takes a darker turn when best friend and cruise nurse Sarah’s cousin is found dead. Then to make matters more complicated Carlos receives a rather mysterious phone call from an old flame of his. Whilst Sarah struggles with the death of her cousin and having to deal with a new junior doctor on the cruise medical team who is trying to make her mark but also upsetting everyone, Rachel is busy trying to find the killer. As the blurb says, “Murder and mayhem are never far away when Rachel takes a cruise”.
This was a five star read for me, with an exciting storyline that flows nicely and a plot that has plenty going on in it to keep you happily turning the pages. The twists in the story kept me guessing until the end and I felt immersed in the cruise adventures. As usual with the novels in this series it’s the characters that really make the story come alive, especially Rachel herself, and I felt as though I was back with an old friend. Definitely recommended.
Our heroine is on her honeymoon at long last, but murder still finds her. This might make it hard to spend time with her new spouse.
This is book seven in the series, but each book is written as a standalone, so no prior reading is required.
This is a murder mystery book set on a cruise ship. The story is well written and easy to read and populated with an interesting cast of characters. Relatives, what more needs be said. The mystery is intriguing, with lots of twists and turns which keep you guessing and engaged. I enjoy this series using cruise ships as the setting. I have taken several cruises and I can usually visualize where our heroine is as she moves about the ship. Overall, a very enjoyable book and I look forward to reading others in the series.
Highly recommended.

Really good mystery. The mysteries were very good with lots of red herrings. Love the characters and their interactions. Rachel is a little unconventional when it comes to her honeymoon but at least she and Carlos both survived. LOL! Really enjoyed reading more about cruising and how things work behind the scenes.

This book shows ALL the possible things that can go wrong on a honeymoon cruise. The characters are fantastic, but I do want to strangle a few…. just saying. The locale and the action with all the bad guys and spys keeps the suspense in high gear. A family death is just a prelude to danger afloat. The backstories add dimension and you know that lies always will come out. Could not put this book down until finished. Now off to read more from this author.

Rule number one for a honeymooning groom: do not spend time at your wedding reception or on your honeymoon with s spy and lie to your new wife about it.
Creepy connections between a slimy admirer from her childhood and a mysterious figure new hubby has spent too much time with and lied about. If you can’t keep your story straight on your wedding day you shouldn’t be marrying
A sexy spy with dubious motivation, smarmy politicians and dangerous mafiosi make up a whole lot of elements better excluded entirely from a meaningful honeymoon- yet it all makes for a sometimes scary, mostly hilarious read – except for moments I really want to shake sense into oblivious characters – dude it’s your honeymoon. Focus or leave married life behind
Amusing chick lit
