This was a good book. It’s the second book in the series and it seems different from the other book. I felt like I was missing something and not keeping myself into the book. It was a hard read to stay concentrated on. I felt myself skipping through spots or being completely lost. I still have it 4 stars because it was greatly written and great description and a good plot. I just couldn’t stay focused enough into the book and felt like I was missing pieces. I am excited to see what the other books in this series have to offer!
Honey Gold (Murder in Savannah Book 2) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a thrilling romance novel packed full of suspense featuring Addie and Tom a young couple who seem to be under attack. This book is very faced paced from the beginning though I feel as though I missed a lot of the back story from a previous book although it didn’t detract from this book so it could be read as a stand alone. Tom and Addie are drifting apart tragedy seems to follow them and their friends. Now the necklace they buried in the woods six feet down is gone and the letter written in blood demands they find it. Will this be the final breaking point for these young lovers or will they come together stronger than before?
I have come to enjoy stories written by Lindsay Marie Miller as they are always well written easy to follow and fast paced. They suck you in and keep you turning page after page. She has slowly become one of my favorite authors to look for new works by. This book does not disappoint it’s a solid 5 stars for me.
Honey Gold by Lindsay Marie Miller is the fantastic second book in the Murder In Savannah series. This follows on from book 1 Emerald Green.
Yet again it is filled with murder, mystery and suspense that keeps the reader gripped from the very first page. Whereas it took a bit for me to get into book 1, this time I was totally sold from the very beginning. There are so many twist and turns and just when you feel that things are being resolved and Tom and Addie can get on with their lives, then BANG, the story takes another turn that has you reeling.
With so much happening in their young lives Tom is struggling to cope and pulls away from Addie. Again, as with book 1, I really wanted to kick Tom up the butt for being a petulant teenager and for pulling away from Addie, especially at a time when they both need each other for support.
What will happen when their worst enemy escapes from prison? Is there a ghost lurking or has someone returned from the dead to haunt them? Are the young couple in danger yet again?
Although Tom needs a kick up the butt, I suppose he’s just being a typical teenage boy. At times you forget just how young Addie and Tom are. Although apart from being petulant at times Tom is actually very mature for a teenager.
Yet again the author leaves you hanging at the end of the book. So it’s straight into Book 3, Pearl White, for me. Can’t wait to see what’s in store next for Tom and Addie. Will they ever get their happily ever after?
Honey Gold (Murder in Savannah Book 2) by Lindsay Marie Miller
I am in love with this series. You need to read this series in order, because this book picks up right where the first one let’s off. I loved Addie and Tom in the first book, and we get to find out more of their past in the second book. It seems that there’s forces pulling them apart at times. This book is filled with mystery, action, and romance. I also love Eric and Jeanine. These two are going to have just as much trouble. I love how realistic this story feels to me. It is very relatable and brings upon a lot of emotion. The author did an amazing job drawing you into a wonderful web that she has weaved. This is a very well written story, it flows so well and keeps you wanting more!! I loved this book just as much as I did the first one and now I can’t wait to read the next one!!!!
