Neither was looking for love.Everyone in North Salem thinks they know Jessie Quinn. She is the town’s quintessential girl next door. The woman you can always turn to when you need a helping hand. Nobody knows that she’s spent years overcoming the emotional scars left by her last boyfriend. As a single dad and task force officer with the FBI, Mack Ellsbury moves back to North Salem to be closer to … North Salem to be closer to his family, not to find love. Then Jessie Quinn returns to his life. Soon Mack no longer sees Jessie as the quiet girl he once tutored in high school but rather the woman he is falling in love with.
Mack’s love helps Jessie erase the scars she’s carried around for so long, but when his ex-wife decides she wants reconciliation, their relationship is put in jeopardy.
Hometown Love is the second book in USA Today Best Selling Author Christina Tetreault’s Love On The North Shore Series. While it can easily be read as a standalone story, you’ll likely enjoy reading the other books, too.

I loved this book! Definitely a page turner
A heartwarming story. I like books where realistic characters work out realistic problems. I will watch for other ebooks in this series.
I love reading single dad romances and I wasn’t disappointed with Hometown Love. This is the story about Mack, his daughter Grace, and Jessie. Jessie has a hard time trusting guys, after her ex-boyfriend,Jeremy. She has worked on improving her life, but will she let Mack in? When things start to look good for them, Mack’s ex enters the picture. Will Bethany split them apart or will they be strong enough to stay together? Grab your copy and enjoy another small town romance.
Very good book. Really enjoyed reading it.
Good read.
I really enjoyed it. The integration of the hometown feel, past loves, parent challenges, new love kept my interest. Fast read. Recommend for the romance reader……
I love all of her books. Each one different but enjoyable.Love her characters. Realistic. & I love the area she writes about.
This is really sweet and tender love story. It’s about Jessie finding something very special with Mack and his five year old daughter, Grace. These characters capture your heart immediately and don’t let go. I really liked this book and it’s fairytale qualities come to life.
Mack has moved back to his home town to raise his little girl. Being a single father has it challenges and when he is in need of a sitter for his little girl at the last minute, Jessie a woman he use to tutor when they were in high school comes to his aid. Mack is not blind to the fact that Jessie has filled out since school and is a little captivated with her and so is his daughter. As they reconnect and their feelings unite, his ex wants a chance for reconciliation. Will this be the end of Mac and Jessie’s chance to have a happily ever after?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It was difficult to figure out what the male character was attracted to in the female. And the segue to the love scenes were awkward. The author could have used more details for the female character’s thought process.
Quick read
3.25 This is the second book in the North Shore series by Ms Tetreault. I’m rating this one a bit higher than the first book in the series. Jessie is the sweet girl-next-door that is finally being noticed by her high school crush, Mack. She’s North Salem’s sweetheart and he’s the hometown boy who made good in the city and has now come home to raise his daughter. Only Jessie has a past that no one knows about. Things are going along just fine until her past starts to rear its ugly head. Just when things get back on track, Mack’s ex shows up with a jealous streak. Hometown Love moves quicker than The Courage to Love, there are still no real surprises and the book is very predictable. It’s a sweet, cute, quick read.
Too much sex.
I really enjoyed reading this book, loved the characters, the setting, the storyline, will definitely read more of her books!!
I really enjoyed reading the book.
They both had known each other since high school. Both went their separate ways. Now he is back after a divorce with a daughter. She is still healing from a terrible breakup. But when they start seeing each other his ex decided that she wants her family back. Will she get her way? Or has her family moved on?
Great plot and character development. Just wish the ending had been a bit longer. Fun story. Cute. Romantic.
It was an easy and enjoyable book!!!
It’s been a while since I’ve read a book from cover to cover. This was fun and easy to read. Thx
