“Little sister don’t you do what your big sister does…”HIM: It’s my best friend’s wedding, and I’m more than happy to be a groomsman. The only thing is, my best friend is the bride. And we used to be more than friends. The groom isn’t exactly stoked to have me there, either, so the deck is already stacked against me. And that’s before I see that her little sister has grown up and become a … has grown up and become a knockout. She’s forbidden. So why can’t I stop myself?
HER: He never spared me a glance in high school. He keeps telling me all the reasons why we shouldn’t, but I’d like nothing better than showing him exactly why we should. I know I can’t have him, so why do I want him so bad?
My Best Friend’s Sister
Book 1 – Hometown Calling
Book 2 – A Perfect Moment
Book 3 – Thrown in Togethermore
I loved the story but it would have been nice if the three books were a boxed set. I only read the first book
I read this first book without realising it wasn’t a standalone and I needed to read all 3 books to complete the couple’s story. When this happens, I don’t always continue reading the other books, but this one had me hooked and I ended up reading the whole trilogy in one night. I had to go to work the following morning on just two hours sleep because I couldn’t stop reading. This is the first time I’ve read anything by this author and I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up anything she has written. A definite recommended read!
WARNING: This is part of a trilogy. Do NOT start reading it unless you’re willing to invest in reading the rest of the books. There is a cliffhanger!!!
OK, now that I’ve got that off my chest. I wish I would have realized this before I started reading this. Hometown Calling is a fast-paced, often hilarious, and sometimes a little crazy. Crazy as it “is this really happening???” It’s good and I was invested in the story. That’s why I was a little upset when I came to the non-end. Chase has returned to his hometown after ten years for his best friend’s wedding. His best friend who was his high school sweetheart, who he dated for six years, who he broke up with their sophomore year in college. Yep, that one. Oh, whose little sister had a huge crush on him, too. Now, he’s back and little sister ain’t so little anymore. It’s interesting, but not sure it’s worth reading more books to find out how it all gets resolved.
The skill of a great author is evident when I read a book that gets me so emotionally charged, that I’m cursing the characters for their actions and the author for writing their parts! This book made me do that. Although I wanted to know what was going to happen next, I had to give myself a break from reading. I’m all for hot & steamy make-out sessions, but I found it just too disrespectful when these make-out sessions took place in locations that were reserved for the bridal couple! Although I know this book is not the end to these relationships, I was pleased with how it ended. Great writing!
This is a series. This one is the he said she said meeting based around wedding planning.
Not a happy ever after book. Must read the series to find out what happens
Best Friends
Chase is on his way to Portland to be at his best friends wedding, the bad her fiancee hates him. Miranda has always had a crush on Chase even when he dated her older sister. She grown up now and he see that.
I really liked the storyline and the characters. The sister getting married seems like a bridezilla and has to rely on her sister and best friend to get her to the altar. Contrary to other reviews, I want to read the rest of the series. I want to know if there is a happy ending, if turmoil surfaces from the bachelorette/bachelor parties, and if the Mom ever speaks up for her youngest to seek happiness.
