Ashley Brooks left her home of Christmas Mountain right after graduating High School but returns after fourteen years at the request of her mentor.
Time to face the shame, pain and ghosts of her past.
Brent Donnelly has always thought about the girl who got away and now that she has returned he will do anything in his power to convince her to come home for good. Time for a very long overdue second chance and there is no where better than the magical town of Christmas Mountain, Montana.
Ashley ran away eight years ago believing that her friends hated her and that she was a disappointment to her parents. A letter from her old choir teacher Ms. King brings her back to Christmas Falls to perform in one last time at the Christmas Mountain Community Center before it’s closed due to lack of funding. She’s had romantic feelings for her friend Brent for years, but always thought he didn’t reciprocate them. They get a second chance at forgiveness, friendship, and romance in this clean Christmas story.
I loved this story very much. It’s like coming back home again but even better. This story has everything you want in a romance, fear of the past mistakes, afraid to see your old friends because you felt guilty about those past mistakes, little town charm, and to finding your family you thought didn’t like you because you were different. Best of all seeing an old friend you always wanted to be with and so much more. This is like that great adventure you always wanted to be on. Then coming home where you finally belonged.
Ciara Knight’s new book is wonderful!
Homecoming for Christmas
It is a touching, & emotional story.
Ashley’s returned to Christmas Mountain,
after being gone eight years.
She received a letter, from Ms. King,
her old choir teacher, asking her to return,
to speak to her in person.
Ash has not spoken with her parents,
who asked her to leave, eight years ago.
She left graduation night, & never looked back. She left without saying goodbye
to Ms. King, her six best friends & Brent,
the boy she has always loved, from afar.
Ash was sad to see, her quaint hometown, has had so many changes.
She was barely in Christmas Mountain,
when she was pulled over.
Ash saw Brent, watching from across the street. Just her luck.
Now Ash wants to find out, why she was asked to return, so she can get back to her life, & business in Key West.

I voluntarily received an ARC from NetGalley.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
I did enjoy this book very much. There were some spelling and punctuation error but it really didn’t take anything away from the story itself. I know some authors do that on purpose. I understood the rift between mother and daughter as I kinda felt the same way growing up. My mother and I were too much alike. She would never have pushed me out of the house though even if she thought that is what I wanted.
Brent was adorable. I fell in love with him and his kind, patient ways. I did get a little confused near the end of the story though. It was resolved very quickly. If I were to have a conversation with the author, I would ask my questions. I won’t say anything here as it may just be a generational gap issue as I am much older than the characters.
I did feel that the ending was a little rushed but then again. Like it was mentioned in the book, they had wasted all those previous years.
