PeytonI fell in love with an alien. Our world was invaded by carnivorous freaks and the Dahk swooped in and saved me and my friends. They want to save the Earth but we are our own worst enemy, or so I thought. The truth is we have no idea what’s out there. Now I’m on my way to Home World. The Dahk’s world. An alien world. I had no choice, it was taken from me. I tell myself I hate him but I … but I don’t. I miss him. But we have bigger problems to face. Problems I’ll realize are massively more impactful than just myself and my own little space in the universe. There’s no room for my hurt feelings, even though Tahk’s not done hurting me.
Tahk
My mate won’t speak to me. I do not blame her for her ire. But I had no choice. I have brought her to my home and I have realized how unprepared she is for my planet and my culture. I could not predict the trials we would face. I have failed her in this. But I will not let her go. She is mine, and nothing and no one will come between us.
The Conclusion to Peyton and Tahk’s Romance lies ahead.

A lot of times, second books fall through and lack expectations. Not hers! It continues on with the first story and is every bit as captivating.
Highly recommended for science fiction lovers.
I am sad to say that I did not enjoy this book as much as the previous one. Don’t get me wrong though. It was still an amazing read with all the drama, romance, conflicts and twists. I just couldn’t get as deeply into it as I had wished and I am honestly not sure why.
I really loved the beginning though, with Payton being pissed at Tahk and the struggles that came from that. The added drama when she arrives at home world and finding out a pretty big secret Tahk’s been keeping from her was the icing on top of the cake. Just perfect, and while I feel like it was resolved a bit too quickly and easily I very much like them coming together again. The strongest aspect in this story is for sure the drama and the romance. Mixing the two together and I couldn’t help but getting dragged into the addictive story and beautiful relationship.
The previous book did a good job of introducing the unknown alien life, culture and species. Home World, for better or for worse took it even further, showing us … well, the home world. I liked how in-depth it actually was with the look at the planet, the history and just the mechanics of its survivability. We also got a better complexity of the Dahk’s way of living, forming families, creatures of their world and politics. For the most part I liked what I learned, but there were some things that was just too weird for me, that made it a bit too ridiculous. The birth scene probably being the weirdest. Luckily, it was far and few between so it didn’t ruin the whole story for me, it just felt a bit unrealistic, is all.
I didn’t really have any major issue anywhere in the story and there was truly much in it I loved so it is such a shame that I couldn’t fall head over heels in love with it. Like I said, I’m not really sure why I couldn’t, it just felt like it wanted to be finished unnecessarily quickly. Yet it wasn’t rushed in any way either with such complexity. There were however things I would have liked the story to explore more and it wasn’t given any room for it. I know that there are a lot of books ahead in the series that will probably deal with that, but I guess that I’m just a bit disappointed that this was the conclusion for Peyton and Tahk’s story. With so many struggles and dangers ahead of them and with so many struggles behind them that wasn’t 100 percent done. Two books simply weren’t enough to cover it all and that’s what made it feel rushed to the conclusion even if it wasn’t.
I of course do not mind new head characters in the series and I absolutely adored the ending of Home World. I only wished that Peyton and Tahk could have gotten at least one more book as the main characters to really sweeten their HEA and conclude it all nicely. Hopefully we will still get to see a bit of them in the future installments, even if they won’t take center stage anymore.
I need more
When I started this series I didn’t have high expectations – I figured it would be a good read – entering –
I was so wrong!
I devoured book one and two in two days- I couldn’t get enough
Tahk and Peyton have returned to Home World and if you thought things were strange in book one – book two is a whole other level of “wth” moments dipped in “omg ” scenes sprinkled with various ” heck no” plot twists
I want to say again that it is rare for me that an author can take such a ‘unique ‘ cast of characters (that honestly, I found a bit appalling in the beginning) and circumstances and weave her magic words in a way that made it all so believable – so easy to be a part of
If you enjoy sci-fi don’t pass this series up – truthfully it has everything a good series requires
PS – I need book three now, please
Was so very excited to see this book. Tried to not read it in one night like I did Pythen, but couldn’t put it down. I was excited to see she is planning more books in this series and will wait somewhat patiently for the next one! Thank you Erin Raegan for a great read! Looking forward to the next one…and hope she keeps us posted on Tahk and Peyton along the way.
I’m having such a run of excellent luck recently with my reading and Home World (Galactic Order #2) was no exception.
This was for me a five-star experience and If I adored book one this one hand’s down blew that out of the water for me.
So here we continue forward on our journey with Peyton and Tahk and this is one story I was so looking forward to getting back on-board with.
This is the conclusion to there individual love story but so not the end of this fascinating series thank god.
So as I previously mentioned in my review for this one’s predecessor I adore aliens that actually resemble them and Tahk had that part covered in spades.
With an almost bat-like appearance, I was totally digging his alien mojo.
I also adored seeing these Aliens in there own particular habitat: fascinating stuff.
What beautiful descriptive narrative was also used to describe their home world.
I could just picture it so vividly in my own head.
So I was originally quite peeved at Peyton’s sheer stubbornness here as I thought she was a tad unreasonable in her grievances against Tahk’s duty to his monarch and really should have given him a break and been more understanding really wanted to give her a shake: but saying that she was also totally correct in giving him an ultimatum and being hurt and upset over his lack of transparency when it came to his people’s customs.
This behaviour was really not on, I gave him a pass because of the customs of his people: but he withheld because he thought she might be upset not because it didn’t occur to him: that to me screams deception on his part.
It’s still an untruth by omission in my opinion.
So glad she stood firm and put her foot down over this particular matter: not that I think Tahk had any inclination to even sniff in another woman’s direction: he was kinda devoted to Peyton’s comfort and happiness before all others and that behaviour was actually kinda sweet too observe.
So this was slightly more angsty than book one and had a totally different vibe.
we get re-introduced to some old faces and get to meet some new.
I fabulous continuation of the story we originally began in Pythen (Galactic Order #1)
I Can honestly say I really am looking forward to seeing where this series is heading as there is just so much scope for future story growth here.
This is one new series that I am ever so happy to recommend.
I really did enjoy myself so much here.
I borrowed this with my KU subscription.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

We get more of the delightful characters from the first book, and a hint at some new interesting characters to come!
Tahk has taken Peyton to Home World in an effort to not have to be away from her, and to keep her safe. But neither of those things seem likely once they arrive. Attacks of various sorts come from all directions. Secrets, various Home World factions, baggage, other alien species inside and outside the Order. And these attacks are so shrouded and come from so many sides, it’s hard to tell who can be trusted and to what extent. Perhaps their world is not as honorable as Tahk had believed.
When it turns out Earth is also being threatened by multiple forces, Peyton and Tahk find themselves having to juggle familial obligations, being supportive to friends, building on their own relationship, Peyton making allies on Home World, helping Earth, protecting the king, shocking truths and betrayal, shadow organizations, attacks, culture shocks, and who knows how many different species!
And the cast of supporting characters are just as delightful and completely and utterly adorable as the first book – only there are more! The plot is fast moving, the relationships well developed, and the mysteries keep the reader thinking and speculating. And the intimate scenes between Tahk and Peyton are just as compelling as they were from the beginning. They don’t fall into the trap of eventually all sounding the same and becoming tired.
And of course, the most nail-biting plot point: How will this dramatic change of location affect Noodle and Jilly’s relationship?! <3
I have to say Tahk fits my fantasy for an alien lover. He is fierce, loves Peyton above all else, an alpha alien who takes Peyton’s wants into consideration but doesn’t back away from making hard choices if not in her best interests. I enjoyed Peyton’s character along with the menagerie of animals and people that came along with her. This is book 2 in a captivating series I will be following.
