For as long as she can remember, Willa Markson has felt the call of the big city, so that’s where she headed as soon as she was able. In New York City, she found a place where she fit, a place filled with art and sophistication that her little Texas town lacked. While working as an au pair, Willa finally gets the opportunity to land the job of her dreams. All she has to do first is bring her … two-year-old charge, Bobby, just orphaned, back to his uncle in Texas. One quick trip won’t hurt, and it certainly won’t stop her dreams of becoming a major figure in the New York art world. She’ll drop Bobby off, no matter how much it breaks her heart, and head back to where she belongs. That’s the plan and absolutely nothing, not Bobby or his brooding, handsome uncle, is going to stop her.
The last thing Daniel Gunn needs is a toddler running around, disrupting his perfectly ordered life. So when his little nephew arrives with an au pair—a distractingly pretty au pair—Daniel asks her to stay to take care of Bobby, a suggestion that’s met with more than a little resistance. No matter what he says or does, or how he tries to make his small town appealing to her, Willa is determined to go back to New York. But how can Daniel make her see that Bobby needs her? That he needs her. Not just for his nephew, but for himself.
If Daniel is going to have any chance at convincing Willa to stay, then this country boy needs to capture her heart and convince her she no longer belongs in the big city.

Great book. Nice romance. I loved it.
Willa left Texas to pursue a career in the art world. She’s been trying for years. And when it seems like she has an opportunity, she has to go back to Texas. Her best friends have passed away and she has to take their son, Bobby, barely two years old, with the only family he has left. She should be back soon in New York, but she can’t leave the boy alone with his uncles, two single men who don’t know anything about caring for a baby. She didn’t expect to find reasons to stay, but she did. Bobby’s uncle Daniel is very irritating, but also very attractive, and she feels more than just a physical attraction for him.
Daniel argued with his brother years ago. After losing their parents, they had nothing in common. He loved his home, and his brother just wanted to leave. They barely speak, and now he is dead. He won’t be able to apologize, to tell him he’s sorry. He will not be able to see him with his son. But he will be able to take care of him as he deserves. Or he could, if he knew how, if Willa helped him do it. He expected an older woman, his uncle’s age, not a woman younger than him and whom he is attracted to. But there can be nothing between them.
I loved Willa. She is caring and stubborn. She knows what she wants. She wants to fulfill her dream, which is not in Texas. She never felt comfortable there. She was never accepted. She has to go. But she can’t. For Bobby, who needs her. For Daniel, the one he loves. Because she has found a home where she never expected to. Her dream has changed. She can fulfill it there, without giving up the people she really cares about.
I also loved Daniel. Sincere, quiet, good man. But he didn’t expect to face such a big responsibility, and he’s not ready for it. He needs help and asks Willa for it. He wants the best for Bobby. He would give his life for him. And he’s incapable of taking care of him. Bobby needs her, and so does he. He wants her by his side. He didn’t think he would love again after his girlfriend betrayed him, but he has. He loves her, but he also knows he can’t keep her if she wants to go.
I loved their romance. They fought against it. They thought it would be only a fling, nothing more. They didn’t think they would fall in love.
I loved James and Sarah. And Bobby.
I recommend it.
I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.
Here we have a story about a young nanny who takes the small boy she is in charge of to this uncle when the parents die suddenly. The story has quite a good story line and the characters are just wonderful. The story overall is wonderful! If you like cowboys and romances this one should be your cup of tea.

Home With the Cowboy is the beginning of a family. Jackson and Co. drew me into a satisfying tale of saucy and sugary love. Willa, Bobby and Daniel are the best thing they never knew they needed. Romance with heartwarming sweetness.
A feel-good storyline
Home with the Cowboy by Author Mary Sue Jackson was a wonderful storyline that held my interest from cover to cover. It’s not your typical nanny-does-daddy, but a heartfelt story about Willa, a nanny charged with taking Bobby, a two year old across the country (from NYC to TX) to, Daniel his uncle. This after Bobby’s parents (and her employers) were killed in a car accident. She has all Intent of returning to NYC but then extends her stay for Bobby’s sake. Then feelings start surfacing.
What will happen with those feelings for both Willa and Daniel?
Definitely recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment. I am volunteering to leave a review of this advanced review book.
A well-written story I enjoyed reading how Willa, Daniel, and Daniel’s nephew Bobby who is two years old come together and form a family even though Willa says she will not stay in Texas. I found it to be a book I found myself crying with, so be warned have Kleenex handy if you are anything like me for stories. Home With a Cowboy by Leslie North and Mary Sue Jackson is a contemporary romance, which takes place in Texas. Willa Markson grew up in Texas but always felt left out. It was only when she left home and went to New York that she felt good about herself and her surroundings. She got her degree and worked as an au pair for Bobby, the son of a lovely couple, Robert and Stacey Gunn. Until, suddenly, they were killed in a car accident and Willa was left with Bobby until she was able to deliver him to his uncle Daniel, a cowboy in Texas. Leaving him was harder than she would ever have imagined, Daniel, too, as it turned out.
Good read. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys romances. Plenty of problems, plenty of local color. Daniel is sexy, and Willa considers herself less than worthy: always a good combination. Neither of them is looking for love, which is portrayed in a genuine way. They are both good characters. Daniel’s uncle James and Sarah at the cafe give the story some color and Willa’s boss in New York, Grayson, is the quintessential hard ass boss who does little more than wield power. An unlikeable character. This book can’t be beat for the price. Get it.
I received a free ARC of Home With A Cowboy in exchange for a fair and honest review.
ONE HEARTWARMING READ!!!
OMG! Wow, talk about taking the long way. I love this little jewel. A whirlwind of emotions and events really grabs those heartstrings and pulls you in deeper. Action packed, fast paced, hard hitting, pulse racing, heart pounding, smooth flowing, page turning delight that’s as riveting as it is captivating. A wonderful storyline and fantastic plot really set the scene for this amazing tale that you won’t be able to put down. All the drama, uncertainty, heartache, fear, hope and love make for one heart melting delight that holds your attention until the last word. Twists and turns abound with unexpected circumstances that rock you to the core as you witness this truly beautiful tale being brought to life. The characters are complex and believable with such depth and individuality it’s easy to relate. Sparks fly between the two main characters, their electrifying chemistry is palable as their connection intensifies. They’re written with such realism it really pulls this little jewel together brilliantly. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it’s easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Mary Sue and Leslie did an amazing job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job ladies, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
I loved this book! HEA and no cliff-hanger. No scheming, no conniving characters, just two really sweet people to totally belong together.

Reading is my way of escaping and relaxing.
As I read this book I could almost imagine being in Willa Markson’s place. Torn between what I thought I wanted and reaching out to take what I wanted/needed.
We find Willa traveling to Texas from New York to deliver a two year old orphan to his Uncle Daniel Gunn, after his parents are killed in an auto accident. Daniel is a rancher and knows nothing about taking care of a child.
Willa is frustrated about staying for a while in Texas while Daniel learns to care for his nephew and returning to New York since she landed her dream job. Which turned into a nightmare. Will she break Daniel’s heart and stay in New York or return to Texas.
Daniel Gunn has never ever felt this way about a woman but try as he might, by telling her the truth about his feelings and asking her to stay.
This book was a page turner for me and I enjoyed the times little Bobby spoke with the author spelling the words as he would have spoken them. There was passion and true feeling put down on the pages of this book!

I really love this story of Daniel, Willa and lil Bobby. Daniel’s brother and his wife has died. Now he has to raise his nephew. Willa is his nanny and she’s coming back to Texas to bring Bobby to has Uncle’s. But they don’t know what to do with a baby. So Daniel has asked Willa to stay for awhile to help him and teach him what he needs to do. Willa vowed never to come home to Texas she wanted to go back to New York. But the more time her and Daniel spend together to deeper their attraction. Daniel was hurt in the past and he didn’t want to get close to Willa but he just couldn’t stay away. After their first kiss it was on. I loved watching them fall in love and watching them become parents to lil Bobby. This book has me emotional with all that had happen to both of them. But in the end love conquers all. Family, Fun Read. and Heartwarming. I think I’ll have to read this book again. But I do think lil Bobby need a spanking. Lol!!!

This is romantic, dramatic and entertaining. Daniel is determined, unsure and optimistic. Willa is caring, protective and optimistic. After her employers die, Willa takes their son to his uncle, who thought that she was staying, at least for a while. They fall in love, but ‘s determined to go back to New York, back to a job she has been working to get. Their relationship is complicated, steamy and sweet.

I enjoyed the story premis very much. The characters were not well thought out, to me anyway, so it didn’t read as smoothly as I would have liked. Still an enjoyable read with an HEA. I received an ARC from Booksprout and voluntarily giving my honest review
An ex-Texan has to return there as a favor for a deceased friend. There she meets a man that she just might grow to care for. This was a good story loved the characters from a toddler to an older uncle they interacted well and made this a pleasant read. The author had a realistic view of the events in the book. I enjoy reading this one. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Two people coming together for one common thing. This case is Bobby a newly orphaned toddler who is a handful at times.
This is a very sweet read that encompasses the city and the country.
I liked that this was not an insta love romance but was developed over time.

Willa went be trapped in Texas, she got out and her life is her own, she just didn’t expect the Uncle to throw her life out of sorts. The characters are just wonderful, the story so heartfelt. So much loss for one person but hope shimmering through the Texas storm clouds. I got suckd into Willa and Daniel’s life as they jumped off the pages. Very enjoyable read.

I first want to say I liked this story. That being said, there were a couple of things that bothered me. I found that Willa tended to overreact to things a bit when it came to Daniel in the beginning. I also was annoyed with Bobby. I mean, he’s 2 and sometimes “tawks wike a wittle boy” and other times like he’s 5. It’s frustrating when reading a book and trying to picture a child and they speak, then having to remember they are only 2.
I got past those things for the story though. It wasn’t a chore to keep reading to find out what happens in this story. I enjoyed myself. It was cute and low angst. Worth reading.

Touching book about a small boy who is left in the guardianship of his cowboy Uncle – Daniel Gunn, When Daniel’s brother passes away and the Texas girl turned New York girl Willa Markson who is young Bobby’s Au Pare.
In helping Daniel adjust to life with a two year old feelings bloom, although Daniel hopes it’s enough to keep Willa from returning to New York.
