For as long as she can remember, Willa Markson has felt the call of the big city, so that’s where she headed as soon as she was able. In New York City, she found a place where she fit, a place filled with art and sophistication that her little Texas town lacked. While working as an au pair, Willa finally gets the opportunity to land the job of her dreams. All she has to do first is bring her … two-year-old charge, Bobby, just orphaned, back to his uncle in Texas. One quick trip won’t hurt, and it certainly won’t stop her dreams of becoming a major figure in the New York art world. She’ll drop Bobby off, no matter how much it breaks her heart, and head back to where she belongs. That’s the plan and absolutely nothing, not Bobby or his brooding, handsome uncle, is going to stop her.
The last thing Daniel Gunn needs is a toddler running around, disrupting his perfectly ordered life. So when his little nephew arrives with an au pair—a distractingly pretty au pair—Daniel asks her to stay to take care of Bobby, a suggestion that’s met with more than a little resistance. No matter what he says or does, or how he tries to make his small town appealing to her, Willa is determined to go back to New York. But how can Daniel make her see that Bobby needs her? That he needs her. Not just for his nephew, but for himself.
If Daniel is going to have any chance at convincing Willa to stay, then this country boy needs to capture her heart and convince her she no longer belongs in the big city.
This novel contains sexual content and profanity.

Great plot that is well developed and interesting.
Chemistry is good between the characters.

Willa, Daniel, and Bobby makes three. To see Willa struggle with not giving up her dreams, delivering Bobby to his Uncle Daniel, and finds that she is falling in love with the cowboy, makes for a great afternoon read. Their story will touch your heart as you turn the pages to see if a solution can be found to find a HEA for all of them. A bit different in the telling as they become a family, this is one I happily read straight through. I was gifted a copy of “Home with the Cowboy” and giving my review is voluntary. 4.25 Stars!
3.5stars
An emotional story about finding a home where you least expected. Willa is back in Texas, this time to bring the boy that she took care from birth to his last live relative Daniel. Daniel as a bachelor doesn’t know anything about toddlers so he persuades Willa to stay a little bit longer, it doesn’t hurt that he finds her very attractive.
Willa wants to go back to NY as soon as possible, but Daniel and the whole community is making decisions to go really hard. Will she go or will she stay? The book started really interesting, with slow burn between Daniel and Willa, but soon after they let attraction to burn the sheets it becomes a little dull. Both are ok characters, but I resented Willa stubbornness and fear to rule her and her decisions. But she makes it up at the end.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
What a wonderful lighted and fun perfect mash up that finds a way to grab you and have you reading till the end.
An amazing well written story. It is full of drama, fear, heartache, hope love, and the unknown with unexpected circumstances and teists and turns that have you turning page after page. The characters have amazing sizzling chemistry and are believable, relatable and complex. I truly enjoyed this emotional drama that also included humor and romance and didnt dissappoint as it wrapped up into a perfectly beautiful ending.

This story has a little of everything, sweet romance, sexy overbearing and frustrating alpha make and a beautiful woman who has the right heart and spirit. Thoroughly enjoying and entertaining.

Leslie North has done it, yet again, with this latest book of hers, Home With The Cowboy and created for us readers a wonderful romance with fabulous characters ,Daniel and Willa with cute little Bobby will pull at your hearts. She went to New York to find her dream and her art world but it never quite happened. She did, however, start working for a lovely family with Bobby the little cutie. But his parents died and she had to take him to his Dad’s brother, Daniel way down in Texas. Daniel is very attracted to Willa and he desperately needs her to help him care for Bobby who he’d give his life for. This is a romance that will make you feel all warm about and hope that Daniel and Willa can get their own HEA. I really enjoyed this story and hope you will too. Will finally escaped to boring life in Texas, being a nanny to Bobby in the big city was great but now she is tasked with delivering the young child to his uncle Daniel. In Texas
The attraction was undeniable between Willa and Daniel. But she wanted the city and he didn’t want to hold her back. Yeah right.
The love scenes are PG rated and clean.
Over time Daniel has come to love Bobby and is feeling a little better about being a parent but he is fighting the feelings of love for Willa, he reminds himself that she is temporary and will leave them soon.
When Daniel finally gave in and excepted that he did love Willa he tried to convince her to stay with them but Willas dreamed were in New York. Excepting the job in New York, she felt guilty about it.
This story had me crying at some parts.
But that the story all wrapped up, like other stories by this author time flies fast you jump from days to weeks in a flash.
Willa is stubborn so is Daniel but at least he tried to fight for his new family. She just was to set.
But in the end ? No spoilers.

Wonderful characters and an endearing plot made this a appealing read. However, at least in the ARC that I received there were some inconsistencies that kept me from giving it 4 stars. I am going to assume that these will be fixed in the final published addition. This is the first book that I have read from this author under any of her aliases.
Willa Markson had lost her mother to breast cancer at the age of 6 and was raised by her father, who did not get over the loss of his wife and was bewildered by his daughter. She grew up, loving art and feeling like an outcast in her small Texas town and could not wait to leave Texas and move to New York, where she hoped for her dream job, working in a art gallery. But NYC, being NYC, she had to find a job that would support her until her dream job came along. She found a job as a nanny to a baby boy, Bobby Gunn. She became good friends with his parents, Robert and Stacey, but they were killed in an auto accident and she needed to bring then 2 year old Bobby to Texas to his uncle, Daniel Gunn, a farmer and rancher. Daniel knows nothing about babies and convinces Willa to stay until Bobby can get used to the change. But the longer she stays, Daniel wants her to stay for him. When an offer for her dream job comes along, which dream will she chose, the job or a family?
Highly addictive, absolutely love it.
Well as it’s a very good book as you’ll be hooked. I know I did and it just blew my mind. It’s addicting and the rush you come off from reading it leaves you breathless.

Home with the Cowboy
Mary Sue Jackson and Leslie North
A sweet romance even though Willa fights it because her life is in New York City not back in Texas, the state she ran away from.
Bringing Bobby to his uncle’s ranch to live after his parents die, puts all her dreams in conflict with her heart.
An enjoyable read.
Really enjoyed the story between Willa and Daniel. In helping Daniel learn how to care for his nephew Bobby, she was able to find a place to call home and make a family with them. Daniel realized Willa was the one for him and Willa was able to realize Daniel was the caring and loving man she needed to realize that he is able to care for her and understand what she needs to feel like she is home in Texas.

Willa Markson has been working towards a career in art with hopes of obtaining a job at a prestigious gallery in New York. She left her home in Texas to pursue her art and has been working as a nanny for a young couple’s two-year old son while completing her classes. Tragedy strikes when the couple are killed in a car accident and Willa must now go to Texas to take their son Bobby to his uncle. Daniel Gunn knows nothing about raising a child. How will he raise a two-year old and take care of everything that needs done on his ranch? Instead of an elderly nanny arriving with his nephew, Daniel is stunned to see a young and beautiful woman with Bobby. He is immediately attracted to Willa, but knows that she plans to return to New York for her dream job. Will Willa be able to leave Bobby and return to New York? Will Daniel be able to keep his feelings for Willa in check so that she can return to New York? A heartwarming romance about love and life dreams. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
What an amazing debut book. Willa is an au pare who is bringing her charge to Texas after his parents were tragically killed in an automobile accident. Daniel is the staunch bachelor who only know one thing, ranching, and nothing about raising his 2 year old nephew. Willa brings Bobby to Texas and stays to help him get acclimated to his uncle Daniel. Willa left Texas as soon as she could to pursue her career in art and she is so close to landing her dream job but she is drawn to this rancher and his gruff side and more importantly his tender side. Daniel was attracted to Willa from the moment he saw her and she him so they allow their relationship to become more. Will Willa accept her dream job and leave Texas and the man she loves or will love win?

This book was so much fun. It was a great read. Full of passion and fun, this book keeps your attention from the very beginning. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
A really good western romance.
This is an emotional romance about deciding whether going for your dream is worth letting go of what makes you truly happy.
Willa was only supposed to take Bobby to his Uncle Daniel and then head back to New York. But she just can’t drop him off with a virtual stranger and let it go because she just loves that little boy too much to do that to him. And her. She didn’t count on having feelings for Daniel and finally feeling like she fit in somewhere. Now she’s facing a really hard choice… what does she really what in life?
I couldn’t believe how quickly I was pulled into this story and that I just couldn’t put it down until I finished it. It’s well written and developed and easy to follow along. It’s also easy to get attached to the characters.

Daniel unexpectantly finds himself having to learn how to be a parent and not just an uncle when his nephew comes to live with him due to the death of his parents. Willa, Bobby’s nanny, is supposed to take him to his Uncle then leave but when Daniel asks her to stay she decides to do so for Bobby but as time goes by it becomes more than just about the little boy.
This isn’t a typical guy falls for child’s nanny as there is a lot of emotion because of the circumstances that bring the H&H together. Throw in a cute little boy and things become crazy, fun, heartfelt and mixed up at times. I enjoy stories with this plot theme and these two authors did a good job with this one. The writing was good, flowed well, and easy to read. Home With the Cowboy is a good tug at your heart read.
A heartwarming sweetly sexy romantic journey filled with loss, love and the thrill of finding exactly what you had no idea you needed in the most unexpected place…. This story had me hooked from the beginning and was both highly entertaining and engaging. Sweetly charming romance.
The story of Daniel Gunn, Willa Markson and toddler Bobby , is a sweet touching , though at times heartbreaking story. Willa, Bobby’s nanny has traveled to Texas to deliver Bobby to his uncle Daniel. Bobby’s parents have been killed in an accident and Daniel is his only relative. A native Texan that never felt she belonged there, Willa is determined to return to NYC to pursue her dream job. But life and fate interfere.
As we read the story, we realize it’s a story about obligations, unexpected surprises, two seemingly different individuals whose one aim is to take care of a young orphaned 2 year old, and about how goals that might be the only ones one wants, can be changed . Giving the individual a new and better goal and future.
A story worth your time.
