I loved this book. It had everything, humor, love, redemption, and the funniest family I ever knew. Green and Kage’s beginning was a rough start but Green stepped up and became the son Ida Sue raised. Kate has spunk and the perfect woman for Green. Can’t wait for the next book
It truly is a Home Run! Kage and Green knock it out of the park in this steamy, hilarious, and just the right kinda crazy romance by Jordan Marie. The Lucas brothers are awesome comfort food for the soul in booktastic form. Don’t miss this new hotness while it’s FREE in Kindle Unlimited!
I LOVED everything about this book! Ida Sue is absolutely hilarious and I just love the crayon/flower gang! Jordan Marie never disappoints with her amazing writing skills!
Once I started reading this book I had trouble putting it down. I found myself going to bed really late and getting up early just to read it. I also skipped my nap but it was SOOO worth it!
Green is so different from what I was expecting, he’s not like his brothers. There were times I just wanted to punch him and maybe a few Gibbs slaps to the head!
“It’s clear to me now and this time, there’s a difference. Kage isn’t another woman. She’s the woman.”
This book is such a feel-good, hysterical, laugh fest full of all the emotions!!! This family is one of my absolute favorite small town romance series, once I dive in, I can’t put them down, and don’t even want to. Ida Sue has become an Icon, I can never wait to see what she says and does next, I love her so HARD!!! Kage and Green were rocky throughout, but their attraction held no matter the push and pull. It brought all the sweet, the heat, and the fun of this series, and then some!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

I am so happy that we got to visit this family again. I laughed so hard reading this book. When Ida Sue threatened to run away and ride Hamburger into the sunset, but no spoilers and I digress.
So, this is the story of Green and Kage. We’ve got instalust that only one of them can even remember. We’ve got everyone doing everything for those they love. We’ve got two very untrusting souls trying to find trust in each other. And we’ve got a ton of awwww moments.
We gets peeks of most of the family which I greatly appreciated in this story. Ida Sue is still as ornery as ever and I aspire to be her when I grow up.
I very strongly recommend this book to anyone that needs a good chuckle. This book had a lot of words, but was a very quick read.

Green House Lucas, yes the the poor guy has House as his middle name, and Kage Bentley meet one night, have a passion-filled experience then he goes off in the morning to never remember her again… or so he thought.
Green is not quite what you think him to be from the beginning, he certainly gets a bad reputation but really it’s unfounded. I really liked him, although he did have to almost be hit over the head with the realisation that Kage wasn’t a bad person.
Kage I liked immediately and felt empathetic toward her straight away. For someone so young to be that burdened by life was heartbreaking but she pulled on her inner strength and kept going. The love she had for her foster brother was remarkable. Together Kage and Green worked, they had amazing chemistry and even though there was a big age gap Kage wasn’t your everyday normal twenty year old girl, she had to grow up quickly or as Ida Sue said, she was an ‘old soul’.
As always, it was a delight reading about Ida Sue, she is always a crack up! She has all of her grown children wrapped around her finger too. Poor Green so desperately wanted to tell Ida Sue she was basically nuts but as he said-“I’m never too old for my mother to smack the fear of Jesus into me if it’s needed.” The humour throughout the book is, as always, fantastic, whether it is fun banter between the characters, laugh out loud expressions or hilarious situations in scenes.
Of course there are serious elements to the story and they are woven into the storyline beautifully. I am forever in awe of the amazing talent of this brilliant author who can write so many different genres. I totally recommend this but if you haven’t read the other books in the series then you are missing out big time!
I love the Lucas family. Ida Sue has always been my favorite. Now Green was kind of annoying with him going to Cynthia every time she calls for help. ( even when that relationship is over in Green’s eyes ) Kage was a strong woman in some areas in the book, and she loved Green with her whole being. But you can see with all the drama his ex’s where throwing at him that Kage was losing her self-esteem. Now you need to read this to find out what happens to Kag and Green. thank you, Jordan for writing an amazing story for us.
I did enjoy this story and highly recommend it and the series to my fellow readers.
Home Run was a great story. I couldn’t put the book down. The plot and the characters were strong, the story had a lot of emotions. Jordan Marie did a wonderful on it. The story was written well. I love the Lucas family, Ida Sue and her children are just fantastic. I can’t get enough of their stories.
Let’s just say, just when you start feeling like you have found you’re favorite Lucas, you get another one and you fall just as hard for that one.
This here is Green’s story, Green and Kage’s story.
Kage hasn’t had the easiest life but she was a fighter. Her and Green both strong characters, both were stubborn in a way. They may not have started out on the right foot, and they may have a few bumps along the way but they were made for each other. They were drawn to one another, they completed each other in a way that both of them needed. Their connection was strong and their chemistry was intense, it was off the charts, sexy. They were just great together. I enjoyed their story.
This was a great story. I’d recommend reading it.
Thank you, Jordan Marie. Wonderful work 🙂
5 Stars!
The Lucas boys are once again coloring our world. This time it’s Green in his tight baseball pants . But it seems that time is pressing Green into some tough decisions.
Kage aka Poppy (courtesy of Ida Sue) has hit a brick wall. Her heart has been shattered and times are tough for her and a boy that’s all the family she has left. But divine and blind intervention from Green’s mother and Poppy’s world is changing. It’s not until a family get together that Poppy connects her broken heart and good fortune are entwined.
Green is seeing red when he meets the mystery girl his family has taken in. But her past and possibly his future seem to bind them together.
Lots of Lucas family antics, momma Ida Sue meddling, and heartache seem to be in abundance.
This series is absolutely filled with family humor, drama, protectiveness, and a whole lot of reality. The crayon boys never disappoint.
Love this book…
…The crayon boys are back in town
Laugh, smile, chuckle,
…and swoon, steam, and enduring…
Ida Sue is my spirit animal.
Kage and Green!! When Ida Sue wants to seen Green finally settle down she will do what ever it takes. But when she finds Kage, is this poor girl to good for her Green or could she be perfect. With a little bit of Ida Suing her way to get these two together… does it work or is green to stuck on an ex and is Kage still stuck on their past…. Kage and Green have an instant connection that they can’t deny but they also have been obstacles that they have to overcome to love each other! Don’t miss out on this great read and all the emotions that come with it!! I laughed, I cried and I got so angry but in the end I was smiling and so happy for Kage and Green.
Jordan Marie really knocked it out of the Park with this book.
The Lucas Brothers series never fails to have me laughing hysterically, they’re such feel good stories you can’t help smiling as you read.
It’s the mix of fantastic eccentric characters and her unique crazy ass humour that just appeals to me in every way.
Green and Kage have a whirlwind romance that certainly covers all the bases.
Kage is sweet and a bit sassy, I just adored her. The way she looked after her brother melted my heart.
Green is a charmer with great flirty banter, he just hasn’t had the best luck with women.
Green definitely hit a Home Run with Kage they are perfect for each other.
I absolutely love this crazy extended family. Ida Sue is my most favourite matriarch EVER!! The back bone and strength of the entire family with the ever loyal and loveable Jansen at her side there’s nothing they won’t do for their kids. Including meddling in their love lives, because mama knows best.
If you’ve never met the Crayon Gang yet…..GET ON IT!
These colourful characters will definitely brighten your day.
