Home Is Where the Heart Is: The Wilder Sisters was a great 5 star read. We get 5 stories from the 5 Wilder sisters that will pull at your heart strings. These are all novella’s that had my emotions all over the place.
Forever Love (Syndie), Beach Desires (Stacey), A Christmas Accident (Sherri), Coming Home (Shevonne) and Holiday Homecoming (Sheryl)
Each story is a sister coming home and encountering their own struggles and finding what they need to be safe and to have happiness. All the sisters are very strong, each of their stories were unique, second chance romance, miracles, love and so much more. The family bonds in so many ways as they go through some very emotional times. All of the characters added a great element to each story and I was pulled right in by Melissa Keir’s writing. I look forward to reading more from her. This is a must read collection.

4 Stars
Home Is Where the Heart Is contains all five books in The Wilder Sisters Series by Melissa Keir. These five novella length stories each focus on one of the Wilder Sisters, they are contemporary romances that range in content from second chance/friends to lovers, finding love with a summer fling, a Christmas Miracle, a wounded warrior romance, and even a bit of a romantic suspense. They all have that wonderful small-town romance feel to them, which gives them added charm. There is also some drama, fun, and spice that made this quite an engaging read. From the lovely cover, to the interesting and somewhat quirky characters, these sweet stories tick all the boxes and have everything you would want in a great read. Ms. Keir has a warm, easy, and inviting style that pulls you in, and easily holds your attention, the whole way through.
The stories are:
Forever Love (Book #1):
Syndie Wilder (Syn) and Thom Johnson (TJ) were childhood best friends and then high school sweethearts, until heartache caused Syn to flee for the big city. Now, 15 years later, Syn has come home to care for ailing father. A walk on the beach brings her face to face the man who broke her heart all those years ago. Their chemistry is definitely still there, and TJ is determined to prove they belong together. But can she trust her heart to him a second time? This is a very quick, easy, sweet, and romantic story about second chances and finding Forever Love.
Beach Desires (Book #2):
Stacey Wilder and Mandy Kenzie meet unexpectedly on vacation. The attraction is instant and intense. But they both have issues about their sexuality that come into play. What happens when Stacey’s ex turns up out of the blue? Will it put a stop to the budding relationship? If they decide to give their love a chance, will their long-distance relationship survive? This F/F romance is another sweet, erotic and interesting addition to the series.
A Christmas Accident:
The tale Sherri Wilder-Davidson and her husband Adam (Davidson) are expecting a baby. They are so in love and can’t wait for their child to be born. With Christmas around the corner, Sherri is determined to spend it with her ailing father. Christmas has always been special to Sherri and Adam, and family is important to Sherri, especially now that the baby is due. But everything is put on hold when an accident puts her love, and their future in jeopardy. All she can do is pray for a Christmas miracle. Will her prayers be answered? This is the most emotional and touching story of the series. Even though this is such a short story, there is nothing lacking in the contents- as it packs quite an emotional punch. There are heart-wrenching moments, as well as touching and tender scenes. The thread of hope, faith, power of love, life & death, and miracles really sets this story apart. My favourite of the series for sure. Make sure you have tissues on hand for this one!
Coming Home:
Shevonne Wilder has returned home after serving in Afghanistan. She is battle-scarred in more ways than one- after her injuries left her in the dark. Jackson Gambish has a bit of a player reputation, and thought all he wanted was a fling. But now he just wants her.
When Shevonne’s father goes missing, these two are thrown together and will need to rely on each other through it all. Will fate give them a chance at love, or will their insecurities, issues and the stress of the situation destroy their budding relationship?
This was a very quick, easy and engrossing story. It did feel a little rushed at times. But that didn’t detract from my enjoyment of it.
Holiday Homecoming:
Sheryl Wilder returns to Amherst, bringing danger and suspense with her. She’s had a difficult time- but hasn’t confided in her family. When she meets Tanner Watts, a single father, things finally look brighter for them both. But danger isn’t far away and puts their blossoming romance to the test. Will they, and their love survive? This was the most suspenseful of the series, and I loved that about it. A worthy addition to the series, for sure. Well worth the read!
This book contains some sweet romances, great chemistry, emotion, tight-knit family bonds, fun, funny banter, and soooo much more. The stories are short enough that you can easily read one, or all, in a single sitting. I was laid low with the flu and this book was easy for my muddled mind to read and enjoy. I didn’t have to concentrate or think too hard- but the emotional content, romance and storylines all pulled me in.
Now I can’t wait to pick up my next read by Ms. Keir- I know I will be in good hands!
Thank you, Ms Keir!
I loved this book! This is a collection of five short stories about five sisters who come home after being away. Each one in search of love, in search of themselves. I loved the characters, they are strong and have their own life struggles, watching them grow throughout the story. They made me feel as if I was right there in the story with them right along with the emotional ride. I also, found myself hoping they would find their happy ever after as each one deserved. A must read collection.

The Wilder Sisters
By Melissa Keir
The is a complete novel, even though it is written as 5 novellas. It is the love stories that will keep you coming back for more.
The Wilder sisters each have their own story. 5 completely different women, with the same heart and soul. Each novella will take you on a different rollercoaster ride. This book says it all, not what I had expected at all. I cried some really ugly tears, and sobbed long after I finished. In fact I am trying not to break down again as I write this review.
Melissa Keir has really brought a beautiful story about families. What each sibling thought and how they thought the family would react. As I read this book I kept thinking about how strong these 5 women are. I feel like this story hit my home for me. I must say I LOVE THESE WOMEN and their FAMILIES. I could not put this book down after I started it. Beautiful story Melissa Keir! I will be looking for more from this author.

I loved this collection of Novella’s by Melissa Keir. Each story in the collection focuses on one of the sisters and they really were all such a pleasure to read. I loved how the author made sure to make each sister different but also kept it so that you knew they were sisters. Each of their individual stories were heart-warming and sweet. We had second chance romance, relationships where people are still unsure of their sexuality, love, faith and miracles and more. Whilst I loved all of the stories I have to admit A Christmas Accident certainly had me grabbing for the tissues and those characters had my heart from the very beginning. I could feel the emotions of all the characters and cried along with them.
I have read a few books by this author now and I do love her easy and relaxed writing style, she writes beautiful stories that you can’t help but be swept up in straight away.
I definitely recommend Home is Where the Heart is – I can’t wait to read more from Ms Keir again in the future.
Home is Where the Heart is by Melissa Keir is a collection of novellas from The Wilder Sisters. Each story focuses on a sister and her chance at romance. I like the stories and how they move work with each other. Each sister is different and has a different story to tell. I also like how they link to their connection with their dad and his illness. This was easy to relate to for myself because I have had a parent who had a serious illness. I also like the family bond that goes through each story. I really enjoyed this series and the range of emotions each evoked. I laughed and I felt the onset of tears. I look forward to more from this author in the future.

This starts out with three novellas. They are short, sweet and to the point. I really didn’t care for them. It just seemed the characters were very forward and within a short time they decided they loved and want marriage. Apparently I am too practical for that. The fourth one was better again until the ending…rushed. But the last one Holiday Homecoming was in my opinion the best. There was time for getting to know the other characters, some light romance along with danger and finally love. One thing I did like (which became more prevalent as the stories moved forward) was how they “kinda” built upon each other. I think that’s why I enjoyed the last the best. I actually had tears in my eyes while reading the ending of Sheryl’s story. I can’t imagine!
This is an ok read and if you enjoy quick romance with a lovely family theme…this is for you!

4-stars
Home is Where The Heart Is by Melissa Keir is a series of five stories that follow the Wilder sisters. Each story follows along the sisters as they return home to be with their family in times of need. Each and every story is emotional in its own way with many ups and downs which kept me entertained the whole way through.
I loved the layout of this book and all the detail that was provided. I found the storylines to flow quickly as each story is relatively short in length. However, all the detail made it easy for me to connect and relate to the characters and it never felt as if anything was missing.
This was my first book by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last. I look forward to reading more from Melissa in the future!

5+++++ Stars
Oh my goodness I loved this family, I loved the town they lived in and I especially loved Dad!
This is 1 book that contains 5 different stories involving the different children of the Wilder Family yet each with an ongoing theme. So many parts of this entire book literally had me smiling, and others fighting back tears, I dealt with many of the issues in this book in my own life and am also the parent of 4 daughters so a lot of this story hit home in many ways.
I love this author and how she tells her stories, they always feel so real and I feel like I’m right there watching it all play out, actually wanting to be right there watching it all play out. There were a few parts that simply took my breath away!
Every one of the 5 had something that made it my favorite yet I can’t pick a favorite, it’s the stories that make the whole of this book that has made me add it to my favorite reads so far this year list
Read this, I’m not even kidding….
Melissa Keir’s Home Is Where the Heart Is: The Wilder Sisters includes five wonderful stories; those are: Forever Love, Beach Desires, A Christmas Accident, Coming Home, and Holiday Homecoming. Each of these novella length stories features one of the Wilder sisters. The contemporary romances are well written, compassionate and compelling in their own ways. The bond between the sisters is firm and the chemistry with the individuals that fall into their lives was thought out and clearly portrayed. The suspense, intrigue, and elocution that is shared makes each of these stories solid in their own right. Melissa Keir shines as a writer in this genre and I have not read a book by her that I have not thoroughly enjoyed.
Home is Where the Heart is: The Wilder Sisters by Melissa Keir is a series about 5 sisters and their journey to find love. Each sister has their own novella length story and each story is warm and lighthearted.
I really enjoyed that all five of these books had their own distinctive stories and yet they all had the same feel about them. For me it helped lend to the fact that it was sisters I was reading about.
This is the type of book that is perfect for rainy afternoon. You can get yourself lost in the stories, in the romance and sweetness. You don’t have to think too hard about the books you simply find yourself immersed in them.
This isn’t my first read by this author and it certainly won’t be the last.

This is a wonderful set of 5 stories that will warm your heart. Each one highlights the importance of family. There is romance as well as steamy and swoon-worthy moments. It tells the stories of five sisters. Each of them left their hometown of Amherst, Ohio and have now returned. These stories had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading them. There are times when I had a smile on my face and others when I had tears in my eyes. Each story I would say is novella length and a joy to read. I loved reading about all the different characters. Many of them I would enjoy reading and learning more about. These stories will have you believing in true love, attraction, and taking chances. This set of stories were on my mind even after I had finished them. They are well-written, and I would highly recommend reading them.
